I got some experience in street workout and can claim that the best way to pull-up is when your body stays still and u are doing it slowly and controlled
Thanks for help!!! in 5 days only i was able to touch the bar to my upper chest but way lower with chin ups, like my lower chest even!! All of these are from doing what you suggested!! God bless you!!
Perfect technique pullups are harder than some of you can imagine. I can do 15 chin over bar pullups, but if I try to pull my chest to bar as close as possible, pause at the top and slow eccentric, numbers drop to 8!
@@GymnasticsMethod so does your pelvis need to be tilted the same way it is in a plank during the pull up? When I see you do it, it doesn't look like your lower back is flat so I'm wondering if you have to activate your core at a different degree ?
Thanks for your great informitions and videos that you make, since I watched your video about chest to bar pull up, changed my workout program an add inverted rows, just after 3 weeks achieved 4 chest to bar pull ups. Thanks a lot again
I really don't understand something. Its almost been a year since I started to train rows. I don't think that im overtraining, but after months and months I feel absolutly no progress. Can't bring that chest up
Did you really manage to bring your chest to the bar after you had done with inverted rows? Or did it just make you get higher while executing the pull-up?
@@honorlethologica3984 to pull from the shin to the chest is basically a row (your biceps are already contracted), and I felt inverted rows helped with the last 15cm pull. I went from 6 shins to 4 chest to bars in 3 weeks with 3 sets inverted rows 2 times a week. Feeling much stronger back.
These pull ups look so beautiful. I am practicing all the tips and exercises. Great analysis I just realized I make lots of mistakes in my pull ups (arching back and legs forward). Thanks for these high quality videos
The physics change with even light weights around your legs. I think the chest to bar pullups I did on my page felt better than an isometric L or forward sit pullup because they involved dynamic leg movement and extending the legs underneath and behind the body while extending the arms behind the body has a very enjoyable teres major and outer lat stretch. Whatever gets you in the best stretch is the best I say.
Amazing video! These tips are super useful and educational. Question for you... have you ever tried Next Level Diet? I got a muscle-building meal plan from them that's worked wonders for me.
This is what I actually need right now, before I'm able to do 15-20 consecutive reps of the 1st and 2nd variation and the only reason why I can do it was because of scapula pullups but I messed up my pull up and the form got worse. As of now I'm trying to get it all back up but my goal was the 3rd variation right now I'm on the mix variation of 1st and 2nd and thought that it was wrong. However I have one question in mind can you do the 3rd variation of pull ups even when you are on knee bend pull ups? We don't have a high bar so that's what I can only possibly do.
How the inverted row translate to the hollow body chest to bar pull up? Inverted row has scapular retracted, while the hollow body has scapular protracted. Also the chest to bar with the dowel exercise has the back arched rather than hollow...
Why you don't recommand the arched pull up ? Calimoves etc says they're the most difficult so I've add'em equally to hollow and L to my pull ups day. By the way will you do another video on triceps ? Our biceps getting way bigger in comparison 😎 thanks for your answer !
Haha will do more triceps video if you liked the previous one! 😊 I don’t say I don’t recommend the arched pull-up, just talked about the regular execution. Arched pull-up is great if you want to involve as many muscles possible or you train for example for the front lever. It depends on the context :)
today I pulled up 9 times in one set, but i can not touch the bar with the chest. Thanks for this video. I'll work on progression with easier exercises.
I can do 21 pull-up no stop without momentum and I am 54. I can’t do any chess pull-up yet but I know when I will be able to lift my weights with lat pull down chest I will be able to do it.
This seems to just repeat the short in a longer format without any clear input imo. Like ok great to know I have my feet forward to compensate for lack of strenght in my core. Well that's no rocket science I alreadx asumef so 😂 I rather would like to know the exact steps of correcting that hab habit as it's not as easy as simply aiming for less reps with better form. I also do prep excercices but that still does not "unteach me" the wrong form automatically

Yes
after watching your videos i've realized that almost everybody on youtube performs pullups incorrectly. your tutorials are gold. thank you.
I appreciate that!

I feel like doing a plank from now on before pullups. My core is mostly disengaged during the movement and I have a tendency to bring up the legs.
Yeah, this is what you need to “turn on” and with the straight body it will be perfect! Btw as you get tired during your set, compensation is normal!

Your pull up execution is beautiful like vertical slicing through water (no splashes) slow & controlled dont see that often.
You said it the best. The third is king!
Great session. I watch you often and use some of these on my channel too. Thanks for sharing it. You are the best !!!

Inverted rows helped me so much for chest to bar. Now I need to focus on my execution obviously.

Why is the bar bending at 1:34.
What is this particular pullup bar called?
I noticed that using a bullup bar that bends is easier on the joints
It's the bar they use for artistic gymnastics
Love your videos and lots of lots of love from india man 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
🙏🙏 thank you I really appreciate it!
I made it to your video! Thanks for the video, will strive for the straight line pullup!
Your video is so informative. Cheers

Are one hand push ups good for strength or just a show off? Please clarify

Omg bro u Totally the best💪 wish u did some weighted calisthenics and get into street tournaments
Just came back from the gym :-/
But I did your core workout, so this will come tomorrow :-)
do you have any coupons for black friday
i am too tall for my pullup bar and have to bend knees. is this very bad for progress or can i still work towards proper form?

Top!
What if you don't have access to a high enough pull up bar? What is the best way to do chest to bar with legs tucked?
Knees bent

Great man! You could give weighted pull ups a go they helped me a lot with chest to bar pull ups.
@@Iforgorlegday Thanks :D i'll try
Does arm length/ proportions affect your ability to do a chest to bar pull up?
Unless one has T-Rex arms, one should be ok.
