What a great interview. It's so free of the usual fluff and just fully dives into their art with a seriousness that it deserves. As a long time fan I feel like they are back to full power. Their records always made the hair on my neck stand up. So strange but it was consistent and we are lucky to have such powerful artists making such vital work in our lifetimes.
Interesting interview but I wish someone had bothered fixing some of the audio issues (the rustling is intense when listening with headphones) and the youtube chapters that don't match up with the video at all....
Janet has all her publishing credits from S-K, but being in a band that tours means you go touring. Look at her recent work, she is still drumming but doesn't want to tour. That's a legit decision every musician makes over and over, life doesn't always allow it, the artist doesn't always want it. Quite frankly, as one of the greatest drummers ever, Janet can pick her projects and do whatever she wants
People are reading way too much into the split. Carrie and Corin were always the songwriters and band leader. Janet didn’t like the direction they were going in and wanted to split. It’s not that big a deal y’all.
I still can’t believe how dismissive these two were with regard to Janet Weiss. It’s particularly disappointing when they try to impress as very thoughtful and considerate people.
From what I've heard of the latest, this is all talk, talk, talking about me, me incessantly. Ah, where's Janet? It's a whole new band and has been for some time, and fair enough - but there is nothing to be excited about the new record, there are no boundaries being pushed other than a belief that WE MATTER - and to some sort of fringe activist movement, they do - but the drummer is no longer in the band which makes them not the same band - sonically. They allow their egos to be stroked by the NPR and the New Yorker set - and bask in this clique, but this has NOTHING TO DO WITH TRUTH AND PUNK ROCK. It's all ego and preaching to their tribe - the very opposite of punk or even girrrrl rock. I wish they'd just pack it in and write a blog or something - or run for office.

Love this band!
My favorite band!
Really talented, creative artists
I absolutely love that they joined forces with Congleton for this record. They work well together.
great band !
Eventually I will listen but will look out for the concert. Next few months.
Love it 👍👍👍👍👍
Soon as corin played the new Les Paul. Saved me. Those new Les Paul’s are great guitars I think 🤔. No joke.
The new single is a great fuzzy kick to the face

No Janet, not interested
This band needs a bass player, and also new toons, after a while in a concert whatever, it gets bored. Just telling the truth.

Have you listened to the new lp?
I hope I can find the resources for a Portland ticket before they sell out, if they haven't already. 🪖Sorry for your loss Carrie. 😞
