Made this kit a couple of times, love it. Always keep one in my stash as well. Made the 2021 kit recently, yes there is more detail, but this still looks terrific
One of my favourites as well. Always loved the kettenkrad, guess that's why I still have my 1970's builds :) Ordered the 2021 kit today, but if I could get another one of these early kits, I'd buy that too. Cheers!
Built this kit. The figures are great for practicing on. Built the New re-tooled one it was nothing but a head ache to the new figures are awesome though
Nice. Got myself the new re-tooling recently. Planning on reviewing it shortly, with some comparisons with the older kit thrown in. And yeah, the older Tamiya figures are good for painting practice if nothing else. Cheers mate!
Thanks. Agree, it's still not too bad. I have seen picks of the sprues from Tamiya's new Ketttenkrad, and there's a lot more parts, separate wheels, and track links, etc. Don't know if that's a good thing on such a little vehicle. Might just pick a new one up anyway. do a comparison video. We'll see. Cheers mate!
This kit is really nice.. Quite nice in details. Eventhough, this is an old kit, build in '70s details still nice. In my view the new Tamiya Kittenkraftrad is too many small parts and too intense.
Have to agree with you there. When you consider the size of the Kettenkrad in 1/35, the older, simplified kit, is perfect. Reasonable detail, and an easy quick build. The newer has sharper detail, but things like the individual rubbers for the tracks? Nice idea, but, not really necessary on a kit this size.
Very cool Pete, looks like a nice kit.... 👍🙂🍻

Nice overview Pe of these kits. The old kit still looks reasonable. I may pick this one up 👊👍

Well, there is another kit I'll need to order now lol.
Sorry about that! Cheers!
