How the transgender and non-binary community fights hate and violence

ABC Action News continues to tell stories for Pride Month that highlight people in the community whose voices are not always heard or considered. Jakob Hero-Shaw is a transgender man and reverend at Metropolitan Community Church of Tampa. Hero-Shaw is hopeful that one day, the violence and hate towards his lifestyle won't be something the LGBTQ+ community faces. He sees a world where acceptance and understanding will overtake hate and violence.

Dont insist yout faction's logo is imposed upon everyone by having it painted in the public streets which are suppose to be politically neutral. Hate crimes are never OK but the aspects of the LGBT community has become so agressive and provocative it should be no suprise some people are reacting aggresive in turn. It really makes thier struggle for acceptance come across more as a vengence oriented domination movement. (Cant use the S word or else TH-cam deletes the comment)

According to the one statistic mentioned -- 18 murders -- violence is extremely rare in the state. Florida has more than 6 million people, and most calabai who are murdered are murdered by people they know, not random people.
