    This is very useful, thanks, George. I will incorporate it into my DQ class as an alternative to the Ataccama DQ Analyzer.

    Great introduction video. I really wish that an extended video can be done with several examples

    I love learning with examples, very good video I was bummed it finished so soon but in hindsight, I've learnt exactly what data profiling is and how it can be performed in Excel, it also reassured me that data profiling is an essential step in a data analysis pipeline. This video will help me divide my workflow.

    I keeep getting this error when I do the process: Expression.Error: A cyclic reference was encountered during evaluation. Any advice on how i can clear this?

      Hi Ben, it's hard for me to tell without following what you've done. Did you follow the steps in the video?

    • @benomondi296
      @benomondi296 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LightsOnData yes each and every step.. I even tried using different data sets, keep getting the same message

    • @LightsOnData
      @LightsOnData  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@benomondi296 the error is not usually due to a data issue. Can you share your file with me so I can take a look at the formulas?

      it's because you use the table you just create as the source for your profiling. hence the cyclic reference. you have to use an existing table not the one you create right now

    This video is really interesting to share with my business users, thanks!!!! However, for me, I will go on with my OpenRefine tool for Data Profiling and Data Preparation :-). **Edited, I mispelled the tool.

      I'm glad that you found it interesting, Manuel. I haven't heard of the OpenResume tool before. Is it a data profiling tool?

      @@LightsOnData ahggg, sorry, I wrote wrong the tool name, I was answering to your video whilst I was performing a task with another tool called "*Resumed*" :-) It is OpenRefine, not as user-friendly as other visual tools, but really powerful with a great scripting transforming language.

    Good video, George.
    I was wondering if PQ whether in Power Pivot or Power BI has any function that could do some EDA, like we do in Python or other languages.
    In Python I really like Dtale library simply marvellous.
    Is there anything closer to this in PQ?

      Thanks Salman! I recommend checking out @daveondata as he has a few videos on how to do EDA in Excel.
