Ah mate! Not only are you the king of vintage puzzles but you're also a renaissance man 🙂. I don't have any sewing skills but your video gave me an idea about doing my own bags using a roll of brown paper I already have and some homemade glue. Cheers!
@@RicPuzzles It's a pleasure mate. I actually prefer that method over Patreon. I would go broke if I tried to support all the YT channels I like with a monthly donation.
Hi Ric, with Earth becoming Plastic rather than actual earth, what a great and unique video incorporating a good message about conserving our precious blue marble of a planet. Brilliant mate👍. M+C
Hey Mark! Yeah man if we buy more plastic, more plastic will be made, so why not use what we already have in abundance: fabric! 😁 thanks for the encouraging feedback 👍🏻
oh thank you so much for checking this out mate! I just made another 20 or so bags the other day with a $2 very fancy cotton bedsheet from a secondhand shop! they look 1M bucks hahah glad you like the idea!
@@RicPuzzles OMG, you just blew my mind - it didn’t even dawn on me to use something non-tee (although they will make great drawstrings). I was just going through our linen closet and was about to throw out some old sheet sets. Hubby has a new project, lol.
Hi everyone! I just found another small language-related mistake in the video, so sorry: at 1:51 i meant to write “alternative To Plastic” not “in plastic!” 😂 how that happened is a mystery!
Such a treat that you have so many talents in so many areas! I'm going to have my hubby watch this so he can start making used-clothing bags for the puzzles. I have used SO many ziplock bags since I started puzzling. I have been enjoying some of your more esoteric video endeavors from years gone by, Captain. I know you're Proud of them! I really hope your viewership on this channel takes off soon. I haven't seen ANY videos from any puzzler (Karenpuzzles and For the Love of Puzzles are two of my faves) that addresses piece storage. Thanks again!
Hi Billey! Thats awesome mate that you have been checking my few talents, really cool mate. Sometimes as i have seen happening over and over - it’s to not mix work with leisure 😁 but thanks a lot for the encouragement here as well. Thats cool too that tou havent seen this on big channels! I had a few issues with karen before, so i dont check her vids anymore. I noticed she was posting the exact puzzles i was doing days after i had posted the videos, with the same titles too so i deleted my old channel and only now restarted a new one, been like 6 months now on this new channel?! Thx again!
Greetings Ric! You are so talented, These bags look exquisitely cool and I'll try to make some for my jigsaws. Thanks for the tutorial. I loved the "no rocket science!" joke.
😂 I do a lot of sewing and never thought of this 😂 Great patterns and use of materials and premade particulars. The scarves being hemmed is nice and the knit shirt won't ravel! Super super ideas and execution 👍
Hello my handsome friend. You are so talented. Puzzler and seam master. I will definitely do the bags. I can’t saw, but my best friend does quilts. So I’m going to do a puzzle bag project with her. Great job. I can’t wait for your next puzzle or puzzle idea. Hugs.
Hi Hector! Thanks mate thats so cool that you may tey this project! I know the very basics of sewing, like how to shorten a jeans or how to do a straight stitch 😂 i wouldn’t call myself a seam master let me know how your bags are coming along mate!
I will definitely share with you. It is so good to see guys like you and I with the same interest. It makes me feel good. By the way, I think I will start my 6000 piece puzzle soon. My life a a teacher is somewhat hectic now. But I hope it calms down soon. By the way, I teach math.
Thats great to hear Hector! You should indeed start the 6,000 pieces! And hey it’s so cool to hear that we have interests in common. Just like yourself too, life is got a bit busy lately, im dealing with several major changes in my life atm that putting out a new video every week is becoming almost impossible 😁😂 cant wait to hear more about your big puzzle adventure!
Oh no. Sorry to hear that you are going through a lot of changes in your life. You have to take care of yourself first and the videos later. For me, doing my puzzles help me relax and forget about my worries. If you ever need to talk, I’m here my friend. And your videos can wait. Again, take care and always remember, you are beautiful! ❤
Hehe thanks mate! Nah it’s all good, just really wish i had a lot more time for my puzzles! At the moment im putting other peoples needs before mine as they are more pressing. Thats all but Thanks mate! All is well!
I just bought some cloth bags on-line and now I saw your video wish I looked at it sooner.. lol I have plenty of old t-shirts that I can use to make them!!
Look who's sharing more of his talents with us! 😊 Sorry I've been quiet lately. I saw you had a blast @ the Hobbit Houses/Village. I was waiting for you to say you got a job as a tour guide for them! 😅 So, how's life been? Any updates with the cooking, greenhouse, & doggy? PotRoast Alienhead still screams at me. Must be asking "Where's Ric's video?" 😉
Hello Wayne! Yes i noticed you went a bit quiet mate, but here you are - and thats what is important! Life got very busy for me as well so no hard feelings from me. Ive been good mate and nope i didnt get a job as a tour guide 😂 that would have been interesting i guess, for a day maybe! heehhe say hi to your beloved cat for me mate and thabk you so muvh for coming by today and for leaving a comment!
@@RicPuzzles No problem! Yeah, life here's been crazy. My sister had the "C virus", then my niece & bro-in-law, & then my mom got it during Christmas (luckily me & my dad didn't). Didn't do Christmas until Jan. 4th. Come to find out, my nephew got it last week. & now my bro-in-law's sister-in-law & her youngest son have it. & now we're going through weird weather: hot 1 day, cold the next (or hot during the day but freezing overnight). Early 1 morning, the electricity went out & it was 29*F outside. Called the power company & about an hour later, it came on...for about 2 minutes. Didn't officially come back until another hour.
Oh my! Sorry to hear tou had a rough last few months, Wayne! Im sending you some good vibes, lets get this virus gone eh! Which puzzle was your last if i may ask? Wishing u and ur family a great weekend ahead mate.
@@RicPuzzles I've only done 1 since moving back from Atlanta...that was a Clue! mystery puzzle. However, I ended up missing 2 pieces. My dad found 1 the cats knocked under a shoe rack, but not the other. :(
Oh no! Hope you find the time to solve more puzzles than my friend! Naughty cat, i just found out mine has gone blind which explains some odd behaviour. Have a great week mate and hope you and your family are feeling better from covid

What a great idea! I typically use plastic bags, but definitely going to consider trying this! ❤

Very clever and thrifty. I’ve been taping closed the plastic bags that came with the puzzle, but this is so much better! Thank you for posting this.
