    Im a Realtor and thinking of becoming a mlo and doing both. When I am prospecting, I get a lot of “No im not selling my home”. What if I could come back and say “I am happy that you love your home, have you ever thought of refinancing your home and pulling some of that equity out”. Sounds like a great way to turn a lot of “No”s into business deals.

  • @ItsMymy
    @ItsMymy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Here’s some advice
    I’ve been around tons of top preforming LOs and top performing realtors and there is a drastic difference between the “realtor LOS” and actual full time LOs
    99% of the realtor LOS I met start trying to be an LO and don’t undertand how much time it actually takes to originate and get through loans and then there realtor side falls apart since they are not prospecting seen it dozens and dozens of times stick to one and be the best at it if ur new this dude is a VET and top performer it’s different

    • @BenAnderson365
      @BenAnderson365  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed! Stick to LO or Realtor and be the best at one or the other. 🙌

    I’m planning to do this. Any info on companies? I recently passed my real estate brokers license, starting a home brokerage, and I was approached by a company that doesn’t have the greatest reputation. I’m curious what other options are out there. It’s also my understanding they only pay $500 for each loan. Is this normal? We recently did a cash out refi and our lender took 3 months to close and went on vacation twice. Thoughts? Suggestions?

    I'm switching from real estate(10 years) into mortgages next week! A little nervous with a change in the economy. I'm going to work at a call center which means refis. Once the market changes, I'll have to focus on getting purchase loans. How long do you think this refi market will last?

    • @BishimDeja
      @BishimDeja 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi are you workin yet? If so how did you get your job at the call center?

    • @IWBVS
      @IWBVS 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BishimDeja I did but I quit after 4.5 months. I'm not used to a 8-6 pm job schedule since I've been my own boss for 11 years. I went back to managing my rentals and selling real estate. I did make $6-16k a month in the 4.5 months I was there though. It's very cut throat and toxic. Find a smaller company to do it at and go meet a lot of people. Pick 4-6 good states that are growing. It's a numbers game for call centers so they'll hire 100 and let 60 go. Out of the 40 that stay, maybe 10 do well. Don't pick Florida, Oregon, etc

    I'm currently a Realtor in Pennsylvania, My household relies on 100% of my income. So I'm looking to make a gradual move to be a Loan Officer. Is it possible to work 10 hours a week to start and build from there?

    • @amorrobel

      I'm doing a change as a LO. I was informed, No. What you can do as a gradual change is finding a company that can allow you to hold both licenses. Reach out to all your past clients inform them of your new license and how you can help them, family and friends and make the change gradual that way while still making bread selling homes until you can fully steam ahead as a LO.

My goal is to get my feet wet for the first 10-20 loans working under a loan officer. Then, look for commission only position where I can generate my own leads and close loans.
