If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).

It's honestly crazy. I asked AI to write an essay I had already wrote and in 10 seconds it spat out the exact same arguments but worded better than my 1-2 months of learning about this.

My uncle told me that being doctor is good for my future because there will always be a demand for physicians. If the economy collapses, if there is war, practically every apocalyptic scenario LOL, doctors are always needed.

If Musk is saying we need to push for A.I. regulation, then we should seriously look into it. If we keep replacing jobs then the need for a universal basic income will increase and soon after that the government will basically control your entire life.
The best way to stop this from happening is voting with your dollars and supporting companies than employ people with careers. Also to become financially and physically independent from the government (be able to buy your own car/house/business and healthy not relying on pills/drugs/shots to live).
Government regulation of AI *will* be the catalyst for UBI and total surveillance of us.
If singularity is reached, it's hard to say whether or not it will be a tool or the thing controlling us. The outcome could be quite positive or negative. Change is inevitable.

Something that A.I can’t do
I don’t usually comment on videos but this one is unique. In a nutshell I think the advancement of A.I. will increase the value of actually intelligent human beings. With humans having access to so much intelligence so easily, it doesn’t require humans to have to learn as much anymore because they know they can easily access it. And with A.I. being able to take over majority of the work force it will be easy for humans to be lazy. Thus creating a world where actual HUMAN intelligence and skill is valued at an all time high. I think REAL human services and products will become the premium choice over A.I. produced products and services. And the creativity will be the separating factor for humans because we won’t NEED much from an actual human anymore, A.I. could just do it for us.
Oh and I forgot to add that I think A.I. intelligence is capped by human intelligence BUT I think the human intelligence advancement rate is sped up by A.I. due to how fast A.I. can capture and record data.
It seems to me that we're creating something that's really fast but hardly creative. AI might be more "intelligent" but it will never create anything like humans can.

At this point my assumption is Alex probably has at least one person if not a team of researchers at his disposal, soon to be a whole team of AI enhanced researchers, which will (as he said) give him (and all of us who care to spend the effort) the ability to crank out content that will make this look like child’s play.
Right, because a lot of this "making money on AI" is in ignorance of the fact that OpenAI is going to start charging a lot of money to use the services, they made if free in beta to assist with training but theres going to be an entry cost to make money using this service. I use AI as a language tutor. Chat gpt is amazing, whenever I have an obscure question about learning French that I can’t find searching online (every fucking day), I literally not only ask GPT, but have A WHOLE HUMAN LIKE CONVERSATION ABOUT IT. I can just chat about any topic until I really feel like I understand it. It’s like having a private tutor for anything
