    How awesome is the design of the new Curlsmith Travel-Edition Defrizzion Hair Dryer & XL Diffuser!?! Check it out here: bit.ly/46MgKkX

    I always shower at night and sleep with the gel cast! It really helps my curls to last for days!

      I need to start doing this! While you sleep - do you cover your curls with a silk bonnet or something equivalent?

      @@wendylpa I don't use a bonnet or pineapple. I just sleep on a satin pillowcase. 😊

      @@jessg.829 Wow that's impressive! I too have a satin pillowcase but I wake up looking like something the cat dragged in (since I move around a lot in my sleep).

    I just grabbed the Travel dryer! I’ve been holding off on getting a dryer with diffuser since they were all so large and not travel friendly. Excited to see what diffusing does to level up my curl pattern!

    Do you find the shine gel to be better than the Ouidad high humidity gel (red bottle)? I know you are sponsored by Curlsmith but hoping you will give your honest opinion. I have type 2B/2C hair and have found the Ouidad gel (red bottle) to hold my waves/curls the best. Would I want to use all of the products you have shown here in my hair? I live in Arizona with very high temperatures in the summer months but no humidity to speak of.

    Love your videos. I love my curl smith hair dryer that I just purchased a month ago. I know that now curlsmith is sponsoring you but I think their products are too expensive, so I watch a lot of your videos that have other products. Please keep those going as well

    Meanwhile that downsized dryer/diffuser is still the size of my carry-on! 😉 But I will def consider it for home use. Love trying the smaller sizes of the CS products, although 90% of CS products are far too heavy for my (very) fine curls. I can’t get near any oils except for pre-poo. Thank you great vid as always!

      Haha well its the smallest one Ive tried so still better than using a hotel dryer. It's worth packing 😉

    Thanks for showing the travel hairdryer. The diffuser still looks nice and big and the dual voltage means I could buy this to use in Australia

    Great tips Gena! I want to order the compact dryer, but curious if it’s smaller and lighter than the Dyson.

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s slightly larger than the dyson. I don’t recommend the Dyson though because of the high heat

      Yes! I would just swap the Hold Me Softly Style Balm with something lighter like Weightless Air Dry Cream or their spray leave-in

    Do you / What do you suggest for oil for very, very , very low porosity (and very fine) hair? It takes my hair an hour to dry with a diffuser (if I spent that long, I have other things to do). All oils do is just sit on the surface of my hair. What's the best oil to try? Even jojoba oil gets greasy. What's better than that? Thanks!
    Oh - and I do love Curlsmith! Thanks for introducing me to the line!

    What if it's too hot inside my house to use a hair dryer. 🥵Cold shot the entire way?

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can, it will just take awhile. It takes me about 10-15 minutes to diffuse. Personally I'd rather deal with the heat for 10-15 min 1-2 times per week in order to get the benefits of diffusing.

    Hi. I found your videos very helpful. My question is if you have other products or techniques to leave the hair air dry. The diffuser I guess is not for me. I like my hair air dry. Yes, I end up with frizzy and puffy hair. ☹️My hair is wavy. Any suggestions? Thanks.
    God bless.

    Sooo, this is quiet a routine to follow. What do I do on days when I jump into the ocean or pool several times a day?
    Or if I get rained on?
    Or if I am in the stable every day caring for my horse, so my hair gets sweaty, dusty or smelly, or just flat from wearing helmets riding...
    Just a few examples that make it very hard for me to keep my curls.
    At vacation I don't want to disappear for an hour from everyone to redo my hair. 😭

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Wetting your hair is damaging over time, so if you wash your hair daily over time will not be at its full health potential. Occasionally, such as on vacation, it would be fine to wet it daily and would be healthier to wash out the chlorine or saltwater as opposed to leaving it in. If you plan to swim daily, I would just shampoo and condition at night when you shower and then skip styling. You would only do the first few steps. The full routine I shared here is more so for when you're done swimming and want to fully style to get ready.

    My hair is more wavy than curly, the brush styling seems to make my hair straighter and lose any curl I usually have. Maybe I am doing it wrong?

    Is this diffuser too large for fine thin hair that is very short? Well it be able to get near the roots to give the hair volume and help with shrinkage ? I've read a lot of these concerns regarding the original diffuser but Idk if this will be better.

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it would work just fine! The teeth are short so it will reach your roots easily

      I sleep on my right side. The right side of my hair is always more wonky, frizzy and my waves/curls stretch more on this side. My hairdresser even asked me if I slept on my right side because they are so different! I deal with it by trying to think I'm not the only person who has a problem like this. I am much less likely to be judgemental when I can see myself in someone else's shoes. Imagine...my wonky/frizzy hair and me trying to find a solution led me to be more compassionate of others!

    Microplopping actually sometimes causes frizz for me, and makes my hair stand in all weird directions. I do it rarely, sometimes it works, sometimes not.
    Also the Shine Gel makes my hair hella sticky! Even if i use very little of it and dilute it. Tried it several times, no difference.
