    An older laptop that most people would almost certainly have just thrown away, but you've given it new life and made it completely one-of-a-kind. Love the final look.

    That looks beautiful, my friend. One question, would it be recommended to add a coat of sealant to the painted areas? So as not to rub paint off in high-contact parts like the palm rest

    • @ComputersAndTechAndAndrew
      @ComputersAndTechAndAndrew  4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Thank you bro 😊 Actually I used high quality sprays, these sprays are made to take on heat, cold, bad weather and hard to scratch. Also before painting I spray the parts with additional spray that makes the painting after more durable, between the layers I also wait 6h-8h until one layer is completely dry. It's a slow process but the paint is much more durable

    The video is really great, try to maintain the first BGM throughout the video as it has become a unique one that suits all your videos perfectly.Try some other BGMs as well,lets see which suits your videos the most. You can include the footage of painting the case of the laptop, that would have made the video look more interesting.

    Impressive work , note that it's very hard finding replacement drives the only way to get more storage in there without getting rid of the dvd player is by modding a small form factor msata ssd into an adapter to that , i never seen this happening before , but might be good after such modding and upgrades for a Linux machine or even a retro Original Windows xp for games , Using external peripherals for the best experience and Vga adapter if you don't have an old screen , even crt would be cool ..

    One thing you should do in your videos is to make the background music same level all the time and by that i mean drop it's level -6dB so that it doesn't always blast when you stop speaking. When you speak, cut the background music volume down by -3dB (now it's -9dB) and when you finish speaking, raise it +3dB

    This is genius. I have a Toshiba Qosmio, which is a gaming laptop that I use, still works pretty well but there is a problem. Some days I have no problems with it, other times, the laptop will spontaneously shut off, as if there is a short. I restart it and it's perfectly usable but it's irritating. I've heard that perhaps I need a cooling paste or there is an accumulation of dust. I tried to use my brother's air compressor unit to blow out dust but I don't have the confidence to open up the laptop. What do you think is the problem? Any suggestions? I have replaced both the battery and AC adapter.

      Hi, I know you’re expecting a reply of Andrew but I’m hoping I can help you out! I’m pretty sure your problem is old thermal paste and a very dirty heatsink. I’m telling you right now opening a laptop is so easy! I just opened up my first laptop this week to change some thermal paste and it was much easier that what I expected. All you should need is a screwdriver a brush so clean out the fans and heatsink and some thermal paste! Any thermal paste should work. Just watch a disassembly video of your laptop and bang, Good to go! Now you have a restored laptop! Hopefully I was able to convince you to at least try! Good luck!
