You’ve gotta check out her live performances. Her videos are great. But Raye on a stage with a big band/orchestra and a choir is where she really shines. We are witnessing the emergence of a future legend. I have no doubt. Raye is incredible
Renegade here who has been pushing RAYE to other renegades for a while now. She is starting to breakout in the USA but made a huge impact in the UK winning a record 6 Brit awards this year. Her album after escaping her record label is incredible and both her and her music are a generational talent. We luckely have access to her Royal Albert Hall full concert on I player here and its a game changer. The same concert is the live version of her album too. Youll see a song from it soon in requests. I think this could be your new rabbit hole and a very worthy one.
Close. Selhurt is the stop where the Brits school is. She went there. It's a performing arts school where Adele and many other famous people went to. Part 3 is her basically praying and hoping for everyone and herself to let in the light and experience better times. Please react to Oscar winning tears live or her tiny desk. Love this reaction of you and will definitly check out the rest of your videos.
Wow, dude, that was one seriously great reaction! - She had to change trains at Selhurst on her way from her place to the Brit School (same school where Amy Winehouse and Adele honed their craft...), and all of your other observations and thoughts were spot on as well, you're quick on your feet Sir! - The only thing I want to point out as you put close to zero attention to it is her incredible vocal art. Part i & ii of this song were studio productions with dozens of vocal layers in part ii (basically the thing she has been doing for years while hustling in the dungeons of the industry, being restricted to being a dance feature and songwriter for others by a contract), while part iii was recorded live (there's a video of her recording session on her channel) and her range, control and palette are just incredible... she can do with her voice whatever it needs to at any given moment, even going from talking to a perfect belt in milliseconds, really insane vocal prowess on that girl...) - her big dream has always been to perform live for an audience, but only after her breaking free from that contract and succeeding with her incredible independent debut album she really got the occasion to do what she loves, and man I can tell you she's even more amazing live... so part iii is back to her roots, but also into her future as a performing artist who loves to connect with people in a live setting... - I'm gonna keep this short, but will come back to give you more background whenever you'll feature her again. Already a sub, supposedly because of Ren, but ever since I discovered RAYE half a year ago 80% of my YT time goes to her, so I might have missed some of your more recent reactions to him... that's just the way it is, I'm a sucker for a girl singing her heart out at that level of vocal control and musicianship, she's thrilling the hell out of me... Peace out, see you on the next one (Oscar Winning Tears live at the ROYAL Albert Hall)
You must check her live performance asap. RAYE Oscar Winning Tears Live at Royal Albert Hall. I went into RAYE rabbit hole after I finished Ren Rabbit hole🤣🤣
P.S.: Sad news, RAYE wrote today: "it's my birthday and my car got stolen with all my song writing books in the boot so no second album anytime soon love you bye" - you can't even imagine how upset I am right now! Peace out!
She’s also independent!!! She was with a label for years and they prevented her from ever releasing an album, tightly controlled her music expression, etc. She finally got free and released her first album ‘My 21st Century Blues’. The song ‘Hard Out Here’ relates specifically to the music industry dramas.
The song itself is broken up into Genesis parts 1-3 on Spotify.. but the music video has all 3 parts together. As I said. Genre bender. I’d highly recommend a live performance - either Oscar Winning Tears at Royal Albert Hall or her performance at The Brits. She spectacular live!!!
Hey Rana, don't know if you've seen it, RAYE wrote today "it's my birthday and my car got stolen with all my song writing books in the boot so no second album anytime soon love you bye" - you can't even imagine how upset I am right now... anyway, peace and love from BavaRAYEa to Down Under!

I'm from the UK and hadn't heard of her. Really like what I'm hearing and seeing here, so will have to check more of her stuff out.
Turns out my partner suggested we get her album some time back, and I heard a little bit of one track and decided it wasn't for me. How wrong was I?
Great reaction, I'm a Renegade and a Raye fan, so love your comparison.
More Raye reactions please!!
Watch the live set of Oscar winning tears at the Royal Albert Hall it’s incredible
She’s actually from London.. it’s me that’s Australian! 😂
Subbed for more RAYE great reaction
RAYE - It's A Man's Man's Man's World (Live at Montreux Jazz Festival)

Awwww that's sooo sad poor thing 😪
Omg Yay!!!! So excited to watch!! ❤❤❤
Thank you!!
She also has a number of songs about DV and sexual violence. Ice Cream Man is heartbreaking. I LOVE the vulnerability.
Raye is cold
Music is Raye’s safe space.
Check out her entire album "My 21st Century Blues". It's amazing. "Genesis." so far for me is the song of the year.
She’s also independent!!!

Also, Genesis part 3 was timed for some protests going on in the UK related to teachers/nurses/etc.
Loved your reaction 🔥 new sub! Please check out her Oscar Winning Tears live at Royal Albert Hall. Phenomenal 🤯

@@Hundhammer Noooo. Far out. Poor Raye. 😞
I’m pretty sure your analysis at about 14:45 is correct.
If you like riddles.. try figuring out the meaning of ‘Black Mascara’ from the video. Then look up the meaning behind it. That’ll blow you away.
Jazz is "old timey" music? That's an interesting opinion.
