How she says she just wants a fanbase that’s excited for another of her stories sounds so real and that’s how music should be promoted, I’m so happy people are falling in love with Raye cause she deserves all the love✨❤️
A heart no that interview seemed very stagnant, from passing a corridor at an early age at church and hearing her sing for the first time. My first thought was she sounded better than Beyoncé. But I hope she can still achieve great things if her intentions are true and it’s not just about paper. These artists that get pushed into the industry as teenagers don’t really get much else in terms of normal life experience. Let alone having a story of “made it from the bottom now we here” like Adele ahaha now that’s the ghetto, not to diminish her light
I am a Amey fan . But I can say your more on it than Amey. I know she had problems, but she was awful in some of her performances. You are very professional.
So happy Raye was in the studio. Her album has been on replay since the debut. Zach, I love the in-depth questions you ask your guests. Its refreshing to see artists get more raw and honest on YOUR show. Great job!
Looking at how she reacts with her eyes to the questions, I see a lot of wisdom, understanding, thoughfulness and raw personality. I admire her for that, she's aware in general. She hears and listens, which is not always the case with artists. It is truly great to see so many artists with soul come through even tho they are not immediately selling billboard hits.
She's incredible. Her music is so authentic and I was lucky enough to meet her at a signing and she was genuinely THE NICEST 'popstar' I've ever met. My 21st Century Blues is also a brilliant album. So glad you had her on.
i'm rooting for her SO SO HARD. one of the greatest talents of our time & i'm excited to see her career bloom. so happy for all her much deserved success
She's so humble and wonderful, shy and anxious in person but in her music she reveals what's inside ands is a bad a**. I love her, I wish she was my friend
It makes me happy that RAYE can have freedom and make the music she wants!! I have been a fan of hers for years, and I'm blown away each time I listen to M21CB!!! M21CB on repeat, and I can't wait for what's in the future for RAYE!! 😄💖
so humble and genuine, I don't wish her struggle upon anyone but I think we can see how it's shaped the artist she is now. I'm so glad she's having this moment because I genuinely haven't been so blown away or excited by an artists' music in a long long time. it's an honour to watch her having her moment right now! I can't wait to see what she does next :)
I'm so glad you had RAYE on the show. I've been a fan of her music for a long time, and I'm so grateful to see her finally getting the recognition she deserves. Her artistry is a true breath of fresh air in the music industry, and I appreciate how authentic and vulnerable she is in her music. I genuinely wish her all the success in the world, because she is truly one of a kind 💖
So grateful to have found your show! Never found interviews interesting as it’s just same old stuff every time. Zach just talks to people like they are actual individuals, interesting ones too! When music is actually being discussed it’s absolutely fascinating. The shop talk is fascinating, the genuine interest Zach shows in people is so real! I’m a big fan now. ( found you through Louis Tomlinsons interview)!🙌🏼
@@Scortch-bonnitli7yg she changed parts, after writing it she was SA again after. So she wrote it at 19, then rewrote it. She said it in an interview and I also Believe it’s in Genius website for ice cream man
@@jordannow13 what’s SA? Security? Did she, she didn’t express that in an interview I just watched in terms of neither rewriting it nor changing it… can you provide the interview link
In that same interview I just watched she stated that she wrote that piece based on statistics and danced around the topic of her own experiences with assault and sexual violence without stating if she is making up “stories” like someone crying wolf or writing from a perspective to shed light on a topic she “feels” passionate about
absolutely adore raye, and my 21st century blues is already my album of the year. absolutely fucking incredible. as always, loved the discussion and the questions were brilliant!
This conversation has many profound moments. Raye is my new fave artist and I absolutely love her artistry. What's said from @27:08-@27:20 is so well said and deep.
She showcased her talent, mixed it in with real-life experiences and remained authentic. That's what happened. We love that from every real artist brave enough to allow themselves to be seen. Which is not easy.
Omg I’m so fucking happy right now. My manifestation for RAYE came true. I just finished the Neil Young episode and fell in love for real for real with how you guys approach interviews. Top tier top tier. I cannot wait to watch this. Thank you Zach and Dan (I guess) for all the amazing interviews. 💕
Thank you for having Raye on your show - she is a true inspiration to me & her hard work and fight for independence makes me smile so big and I wish her all the success in this world. She is an incredible and amazing individual ♡♡♡
Raye's '21st Century Blues' is a masterpiece - I am so proud of her and every chance I get, I listen to the album fully through and I feel empowered by Raye's integrity, the lyrics on each track and she has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever listened to. Wonderfully done :)
She is so talented, i felt exactly that with piano it was just a sad song but as she said, the music 🎉elevates it to another level. Such a strong woman
She is such a breath of fresh air. You can see her transparency and that what you see is what you get with her. May the Force be with her as she realizes her full potential.
Thank you for sharing this special interview, Raye is the most talented songwriter of all the time in the contemporary music scenario. Good job queen for your debut album, a work of art, lots of love, xxx.
Lots of people would say "a star is born" but IMHO her journey and debut album feels less star-like and more like a Bing Bang: an enormou amount of talent and artistry that was ready to explode and found the correct time and space to do it and blew us all away! I knew of her when her "Black Mascara" video came out, instantly fell in love with her and right after I saw the video for "Escapism" and she found a permanent place in my heart and in me she got a life-long fan, I haven't been able to stop listening the masterpiece that M21CB is
Watching this AFTER she made Brit history and seeing her humility still shinning thru is so amazing and refreshing. All her hard work is finally getting the recognition it deserves, and she’s just getting started with her freedom and creativity… a real star.
I literally was like: " I wish Raye was on The Zack Sang Show" YESTERDAY, and you dropped this today??? THANK YOU 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Just got into her music, LOVE HER STUFF ❤❤❤, she makes art 😌
Absolute gem, I'm so excited for her journey as an independent artist and her newer songs. Her writing and sound is just perfect and fireee. Dan is me honestly, he asked all questions I wanted to ask her loll
I like the show and I love RAYE (saw her live in March and she was so good). But like she CLEARLY wasn't really comfortable talking extensively about Ice Cream Man and all these sensitive topics and they kept pushing and pushing her and bringing it up... kinda disappointing Zach. Two men asking her about these topics over and over and she clearly was hesitant bc it's not on her own terms.
I remember I heard her song Cigarette . i was really interested of her music but i realized she only did dance pop . She has amazing voice . i’m happy she’s independent artist !
Upon viewing 'Zach Sang Show' for the first time; I gotta say it’s brilliant. Ice Cream Man always makes me emotional. I absolutely love Raye for being so real. She's incredible. So proud of her success ❤
Tears every time. Ugly crying

Is he an artist you would work with?
Being a father of two daughters found ice cream man a hard thing to listen to. But Beautifully executed.Does make feel like abusing the man.
