- Guinness was only half the size of all the other puppies when he was born. He had trouble breathing and eating and so many people thought he wasn't going to make it. But this woman refused to give up on him. Now he's grown into the most BEAUTIFUL pit bull.

Love the way you describe him as “like your son” because it is how you’re suppose to see your dog, they are not “something you bring home to get the kids happy” or just because having a dog is cool. It’s a lifetime commitment and we see you understand that. What a beautiful story!

Uh, no, it’s not like these animals are sentient creatures that can think like us, trying to tell others that you are morally superior because of not eating animals, is so selfish and egotistical.
You can have a close bond with these animals, but that doesn’t mean eating meat is morally wrong.

I have such an affinity for Pit Bulls and I have to be honest, I'm a Marine Corps veteran rough tough mans man type but seeing a hurt animal makes my heart ache and well up. I am so happy this little guy made it. What an amazing and gratifying story. Way to go Guiness!! And way to go mom for never giving up. I'm still having to choke my heart down.

I just got a 8 week old puppy. And this almost got me to tears. I just kept thinking I hope the lil fella makes it. I've had pitbulls all my life and I know they are extremely resilient and gutsy. Once I saw him do the pitbull waddle I knew he was gonna be ok. He absolutely would've died had she not cared for him. The runs unusually don't make it. I've never seen a pup so small.
@therealsyxx I got my rescue runt at roughly 6 months. Thanks to my friend, she made it to that point (and then I took over) but she has been with me now for over 10 years now.
I just love hearing these types of stories & seeing a struggling puppy make such a huge comeback....what a cute little fighter! Bless you for not giving up on Guiness & for giving him a wonderful life filled with love & joy!!

I had a 4 wk pitbull puppy that was thrown out of a moving car - I had to take it in even though I had shepherds, but seeing that puppy sleep in my combat boots awed me - memories you can never forget 🤗

Love all animals, they deserve love and compassion.
Pittie puppies look like tiny fuzzy hippos. Raise them in a loving home and they thrive. The breed gets such a bad reputation, because of a few stupid people. Bad owners and bad breeders make life hard on the sweetest, friendliest, most loyal breed of dog I've ever had. So happy that little guy made it. Looks to me like you both hit the lottery.

Elsa, my current dog, is my first pit bull. I am 71 and she is my 5th dog, in my life. I rescued her from a shelter 5 years ago. She is the most loving, attentive, easy to train dog I have ever had. I will never have any breed of dog other than pit bull. God bless you for saving that little boy's life!!

Agreed ! 😢💓 Mine was like that too ! A Big Beautiful German Shepherd who had nobody or nothing ! He needed a home and grew to be the most amazing life for countless folks !.
I had the same experience with my pitbull. She was the runt of the litter and very feisty. She had behavioral issues and didn't socialize well. She is almost 10 and has been my best friend. She is still with me but now she takes it easy and sleeps alot. She is showing her age and I cherish everyday she is with me.

Yayyyyy he made it what a cute fella. I remember when my co worker brought his dog to work and everyone in the office was a little frightened of his dog. I walked right up to her kneeled down and was petting her and she warmed up and gave kisses. I said what a sweetie she is. What kind of dog is she and everyone in the office laughed?!! She’s a pit bull! I said no wayyyy awesome she’s a guard dog. I didn’t know what put bulls looked like lol there great dogs.

One of the main reasons he’s such an amazing dog is your love and believe in him since he was so tiny; he felt it for so long it created in him a amazing view of himself through your feelings for him, that’s should always be the way with any pet, they become family members and their energy entwines with ours. I had the same story happen with my Xena. I left vacation because I was told she was dying that day. I rushed her to an all night e.r. and at 6 weeks she only weighted 1 pound (after eating). We had lots of trials and tribulations it was such a hard road. She is fighter and I faught by her side. She's 6 years old now and I couldn't ask for a better best friend. I would say I saved her but she really saved me.

Can't stop crying now. I lost my soul 3 years ago when my baby girl died in my arms. She wasn't supposed to live as a baby either. She wasn't even weaned yet. She was my world.
This is the way it happens sometimes. You falling in love with them so much. When you have to bottle feed them. They are your baby and your their mom. I was small but look at me now. I'm grown and big. Thank you for keeping your fur baby.

"transform" is not the word I would use. The puppy GROWS UP INTO a pitbull is what I would use.
When rescuing a dog in my family we choose always chose the runt or the smallest 1 because they never get a chance.
It's kind of a tradition in my family to adopt the ones nobody else wants.
We adopted the runt from a pitbull litter. We think the people we got him from are meth addicts and we're pretty sure they lied about his age so they could make a quick buck. He was not ready to be weened, couldn't see out of one eye, and wasn't stable enough to walk normal.
7 months later, he's 50lbs and ornery as hell (but very cute).
And now I'm crying... Are you happy @The Dodo ?
