love the way you say "hook up"😆
Great and timely video for me. Was trying to do this yesterday. Didnt realize my TV was such an awesome monitor. Thanks for the short and easy to understand video.
Glad it helped!
I do have a video request. I have been interested in buying parts and building a PC. Can you make a video related to this?
Very cool!
I have a TV and my PC with both HDMI inputs and is working fine, I just need to find the way to turn on and off the TV (monitor) without using the TV remote.
Does your smart TV have an app you can use with your phone?
@@Theunstoppableoneisyou It is an older HDTV TV it doesn't have a VGA connection.
So I have a vga connection right? Wow, anyway
Really great video, thank you! 😊
You're so welcome!
How about some input related to if your screen just doesn't magically display
what monitor are you using? I am looking for a good work-from home monitor that doubles as a TV
So my pc is older. It only has a few connections in the back. It does have a 15 pin FEMALE blue input with a monitor illustration by it. It has NO hdmi hookups, but many USB ports. My tv also has a black RGB connector, but it is FEMALE as well, also 15 pin. Am I gust going to have to piece it together with cables and connections? Please help if u can. Thanks, man!
Question.....do you have a video of using a tower with a tv monitor along with a keyboard and mouse??
I do not. Same rules apply though
Nice short and sweet explanation thanks
How can you set up a wireless mouse and keyboard to this or can you?
Should you get a multi port USB connection for this if need be?
You would just use a wireless mouse on your computer…
You would just plug the usb reciever ( dongle ) for the Keyboard and mouse to a usb port and then have the Keyboard and mouse with you. If you use A Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard with Logitech Unifying support - you can pair both to one reciever so you don't have to use up 2 usb ports.
Hello I had tried to connect the cables exactly the way you hit showing them on the video from my computer to my TV and I still cannot see no computer screen on my TV I haven't hooked up the old way the way you showed it with the blue monitor hooking into HDMI I only have HDMI 1 and 2 but I don't have that on my TV I have an LG webos TV and I just cannot seem to make my computer do what you said you make my computer come to my tv as my monitor what do you think I should do
you might get the picture to show if you press Win+P button combination. from there you should see option to show the picture on the pc, same picture on both, extended picture from the pc to the tv or tv alone.
you should also take a look at the connector of the tv and take a note what hdmi port you are connected to.
most tv's should pic up automatically which hdmi port you are using, but it depends on the age of the tv.
for example my old 2007 Mirai or 2008 Sony had no idea if i switched my pc on or not.
but my current Panasonic 2012 model will automatically detect that hdmi cord is connected and the pc is on.
Great Video... was hoping to find my problem... I did it the way you said and the TV doesn't show the computer. I have (1)HDMI port on the computer and 3 on the TV... I have tried all three using their HDMI numbers. but nothing... and ideas, thnx in advance... (edited)... it is Not the cable traded with one that works.
Try to look up the settings for your Operating System for the screen. If windows have the computer plugged into the TV and choose settings, then system, display, then play with the settings from there. Hopefully this helps.
Did you figure it out???
I want the TV to be a second computer monitor with the ability to drag and drop is that possible why didn't you talk about this
You can do this. You just need to configure your screen settings. I will consider this for another video. Thank you,
i am using my tv as a moniter cuz i have no room to use it on my acer moniter cuz i been using that for a televison bye hooking up a amazon firestick bluray player and a switch so there was no room for me to hook up a pc on my moniter so i used the tv
tvs do work on pc it got hdmi ports some tvs have pc picture
Cheers
Anyone can understand Sir
This isn't in Spanish.
This video has a lot of editing for a 4 minute video.
It takes a lot of work to make such a great video.
@@Theunstoppableoneisyou lol!
Ok mine isn't working why?
