Istanbul 🇹🇷 to Bali 🇮🇩 | American Couples NOT SO PERFECT trip through 6 airports (5 countries)

Why would we want to spend more than 72 hours traveling from Istanbul Turkey to Bali Indonesia? Of course we could have taken a direct flight, but there are two reasons why we didn’t want to do that. The first, of course, is to save some money. We booked the cheapest flights and hopped along through five countries and six airports. And that takes us to the next reason, we wanted to spend some time enjoying the journey. Each leg of this journey gave us some time at different locations. Each location was a place we wanted to go for various reasons. And even though there was an unexpected hangup that really took some of the fun away from our plans, overall, it was worth it.

I am currently a 19 yr old student from India in college. However , just as I am being introduced to the world , I have realized that Going out to various places( airports, restaurants , streets etc. literally anywhere) in public seem to be my greatest fear . I have this fear that I might get lost or somehow do something stupid . I saw this video of yours and truly loved it . I hope to be as calm and composite as the two of you . We basically took the cheapest flights. It's much better to take one quick flight, even if it's more costly. In the long run, this was a very stressful trip. Especially being denied being able to board a flight we paid for only because they didn't want to let us on.
So sorry you went through such delays and complications. You are real troopers. I re-watched your video and just want to be sure about the name of the airline that would not accept your electronic tickets. It looks like Etihad. I would just like to confirm please.
Thanks. It was not Etihad. We don't actually want to put the name out there at this time for personal reasons. Just say it was a budget airline.

Sure. Most of us watch youtube videos to learn, to get ideas about what not to miss, and to learn what may be best to avoid. Sharing your experience with the airline that caused you to miss a flight is something viewers could learn from. I think helping other travelers is one of several reasons that you post your videos. So I did not ask why you preferred not to share the airline's name, but I think it would help your viewers to at least know the country of the budget airline. None of us want to experience missed flights in travel and since this happened based on the airline's policy, it seems an objective fact and since it is normal policy, it would help other travelers make their own decisions on flying.@@SQUEEZEtheDAY
One of the most important reasons we have for not sharing the airline is because we want to post positive videos about good things happening. Saying we overcame a hardship was positive. Let's just say, if we are in an area and don't mention something we've done, we're reverting back to our parents'advice, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." We have some great travel videos going to some amazing places. And if you're traveling and we haven't mentioned that particular location in a video, we would have to refer you to other travelers/TH-camrs. We have an amazing community going to places around the world.
