I have come to realize Possibly too late for me, that mr Shaw IS the heart of Styx …I wish you future history
CHILLS!!! Another reason to go see Styx again post-vaccine. I have seen Styx many times. Took a break during the Roboto era, but have since gravitated back. What a great cover on one of my favorite songs. These guys always have a trick up their sleeve.
Tommy Shaw's voice hasn't lost anything with age. It is still superb!
He only gets better with age.
His voice is one of the most pure instruments in music. I'm amazed to still be alive at this time to enjoy his work.
Met him and he's really a humble & polite man.
It doesn’t get much better than this ❤️
Is there anything these guys don't make just beautiful?! The musical and vocal talent is stupendous!! Truly one of MUSIC'S most talented groups.
Find the Cost of Freedom is a Stills tune. Written after visiting a civil war battleground. Great cover of both tunes, I am a hardcore Neil Young fan and nexer really got into Styx, but Tommy Shaw is one of the most underrated guitarist and vocalist around, The guy is great!
Love this band, love this song!
great song, great job by Mr. Shaw singing it. wow....
Tommy Shaw I cannot get enough. You are the bomb
Fantastic. Tommy is such a talent... in so very many ways. his voice, his guitar skills, his respect and joy of music. When you see him perform, you see a sincere joy. yeah--- he is absolutely gorgeous at 61 too :-)
Ann Roth oh yea
Absolutely I have been his fan for 30 plus years. My first concert Styx 1978
Ann Roth I agree 100% Love me some Tommy Shaw!!! :)
Excellent.
Tommy Shaw is an exceptional musician, and the T5(T5z) he is playing is an awesome guitar
Tommy appears to have a Fender shirt on, T5z who makes this guitar? Taylor?
@@Jon_2218 Yes it’s a Taylor. I almost bought one. It doesn’t really do a great job at either (acoustic or electric) but if you need both in the same song it’s pretty good.
@@rickster58 Taylor's are awesome
This was an outstanding performance!! I was never a huge Styx fan, But these guys really know how to play.
Well done ! As usual.
Unbelievable....All I can say is ....DAMN!!!
From Steve Winwood to Tommy Shaw. Great cover! Tommy Shaw for the RRHoF!
He killed it.
Fantastic intro using the CSNY classic. Tommy Shaw is such an underrated musician and singer. Always thought that he had more exposure with Damn Yankees. Very versatile talent.
Rock Dinosaur ~ Tommy to me was always the most versatile in Styx. Both in his writing & singing. He has a soulfulness in his singing that very few rock vocalists have.
I see this comment in a lot of videos with Tommy Shaw and I know it's true.
Tommy is one of the greats. Going to c him live in Macon, Ga in April can’t wait. Counting the days. Wanted to go c ether at the Ryman but prices for hotels went thru the roof with the outdoor classic. Bolts versus the preseditors. 400 to lay your head down. C’Mon
Rock Dinosaur you do know that Styx has been together for 50 yrs. That’s pretty good exposure. Going to see them play at the Ryman in Nashville early January. Can’t wait
I just went their 50th anniversary concert. I believe 50 yrs they have much better exposure the the Damon Yankees ever had
This is beautiful footage. On such a gorgeous remake.
Love the intro and the song and the players😅
A fine performance Tommy,JY and the boys!
Love this song ❤️
I've seem a lot of people do covers of this Blind Faith song, Tommy comes about as close as anybody to getting the feeling in the vocals that Winwood had on this song. Tommy's a great musician that's for sure.
Tommy Shaw And STYX Blew EVERYONE, even Steve Windwood/Blind Faith out of the water on this GREAT tune!!! Hands Down!
@@mitchbast3077 ~ Wow, that's quite a compliment...
TS beats Blind Faith to a pulp with this song. You can tell by the way the band members watch him. He’s the bomb period
No one like Tommy. Puts blind faith to shame
@@mitchbast3077 check out Ryan Quinn’s version. It’s good.
Beautiful harmony
To be honest...after Shaw/Blades nothing surprises me.I'm pretty sure Tommy could cover just about anything and make it sound good.Styx would not have been the same without him.
Check out 'Summer Breeze' from the Shaw/Blades project.it's such a good cover of a song I always though was too soft. Now i love that song and it's because of Tommy and Jack.
xraeddie. I have both CD's Tommy & Jack did together. Both are great. I would have to say the their
"Time Of The Season" cover is my favorite on the "Influence" CD. Peace...✌🎶
Thx for the tip. Always looking for great music I somehow missed over the years 👍
Tommy Shaw is one of the most underrated guitarist and vocalist around, The guy is great!
He is our hero here in the southside of the Chi and all across illinois and Alabama !!
Thank you!! Let's go back. Florida has Freedom
Excellent
Always know be biggest star someday. So proud you. Truly love this song. Alway enjoy your music.
Didn't know Tommy could sing so well.......
Tommy Shaw no more needs said
Love you Tommy!!!
You did it again Tommy
Hands down awesome
FABULOUS energy and orchestration. "Can't Find My Way Home" is one of the most covered modern blues (or jazz, if you insist!), and the intense scoring of the 12-strings here gives it a richness which changes the feeling of the whole work.
It's not the only really good interpretation of this, but by Damn, it's a beautiful sound. Thanks for posting it!
One of the greatest bands ever imo and awesome rendition of this song not better than original or even house of lords rendition cuz thats awesome version of this song but awesome none the less .
He has the BEST voice in rock….the best…even today.
Great if low key version of the classic written by Winwood.
Why can't I hit the like button more than once?
Need to hear the ultimate House of Lords version right about now...
Thanks for posting - love how they made this cover their own!
When the music gives you goosebumps....you know it's good
I love him!
respect!
More than cool!!!
Wow excellent cover. Most play this way too slow where the song drags along. Tommy nails it
Beautiful
Wow.....thx for posting this!!!!

Томми Шоу волшебный музыкант. Браво!
And. I’m wasted and I can’t find my way home.
i saw it, on his right shirt sleeve!
True Talent ! We Know This !
Am I the only one who noticed? Fender shirt Taylor guitar.
wow
WOW🤯🤯🤯
@arrowolf1
Steve Stills covered this song from steve Winwood who along with Eric Clapton originaly sang it with Blind Faith, I remember buying the album in 1969 with the topless little girl on the cover, soon after they re-released it covering up the young girls bare breast. I will post some Stephen Stills soon, enjoy the videos!
❤
Fucking Great!
fantastic cover. glad they didn't turn it into an abomination like house of lords. tommy shaw apparently has discovered the fountain of youth since he hasn't aged much.
Ya! No thanks to the three meals a day usda food pyramid brought him and his band . Go to any Walmart to see what that msm madness brought us!
Out of their league playing this one.
Loved Tommy’s vocals on this, wish they’d played it just a bit slower, like Clapton and Winwood did with Derek Trucks, man that version just grooves.
Please someone tell me why these boys aren’t in the Hall?
cool
not a bad cover of blind faith at all not a bad cover!
Alabama Boy, Tommy Shaw, sings this as good as Blind Faith.
Have you heard Todd's other guitar player singer? They should do a duo on this
