Thank you for the videos. You are giving my wife and I great ideas for trips. We live on Long Island and many of the places you post are within driving distance for us.
My husband and I rode this trail yesterday (Thursday) after seeing your video this week. Really enjoyed it. The scenery was beautiful, the trail was so smooth and flat and lunch at the rail pub was good. Thanks for the inspiration.
I'm glad that you found the video helpful. This is a little gem of a trail, and the pub right there doesn't hurt!! We hope to "see" you on our next ride.
Hi Ben, Happy to respond to your comment, but I'm not sure what you are asking? It is a short trail -- so 24 miles end-to-end round trip. It's newly paved, so a very easy ride and you can get something to eat right off the trail. The parking lot gets full on the end we started at, so you might want to arrive early. Does this help?
@@bengeist3227 Hi. Not sure how far you want to drive, but the Erie Canal is close by in Albany, NY. The Hop River Trail is on our list to ride in CT. The Blackstone River Greenway is near Providence, RI, and the Ashuelot Recreational trail is in NH. If you haven't checked out traillink.com you may want to. It's a non-profit organization that has a great map of all rail trails across the country. It isn't more than $30 to have a years subscription to their maps that will give you directions to any trail head you choose. Happy riding!
Hi. The trailhead is off Crane Ave near the intersection of Dalton Avenue (near Rt 8) in Pittsfield. I'm not sure if you have heard of Rails to Trails, but they are a non-profit that provides maps and other info on trails through their app: traillink. You just click on the parking area from your smart phone and it will take you right there. Directions aren't free -- you need to pay for the annual subscription, but if you like to ride a lot of trails, it's definitely worth it. Thanks for watching.
If it doesn't go over 20 miles an hour it's considered low speed, and hopefully they change the rules for low speed e bikes, which are good for individuals with disabilities, chronic pain, older bodies, or low fitness levels
@@sclwrkr Thanks for your comment. I agree. We have ebikes due to my husband's knee replacement and my arthritic condition. I know I wouldn't be biking without one.
yes I own a class 3 pedal assist technically , but I can ride atv /snowmobile trails😋 and the way e-bikes are going they have to change laws to allow access to these trails as long as speed limit is followed. Looks like as long as it is pedal assist they allow , but I'm also running on 4 inch tires. I do not think that's allowed 🙄😏... I do ride it at night, no one else is on trail but coyotes and deer lol. If over 25mph you do need helmet or cops will ticket you
The Actual Law: Regulations E-bike riders are afforded all the rights and privileges related to all bicycle riders, except that e-bikes are not allowed to be ridden on sidewalks. Class 1 and Class 2 electric bicycles are not considered to be "motorized bicycles" as further defined in MA law, as such are allowed on bikeways and bike paths, however a local jurisdiction may regulate and prohibit their use, but only after a public notice and public hearing. E-bikes are not allowed on "natural surface" trails (ie. mountain bike trails) unless otherwise permitted by a local jurisdiction.
Nice job!! I live about an hour north of the Adams Visitor Center, so I ride this smoothie a few times a year. I recently learned that there are plans to expand the trail north to Williamstown (home of Williams College) which would be fantastic.
This is definitely a very well maintained trail. I love all the benches and tables along the ride. Can't wait to see the trail expanded. Thanks for watching!!

Hi, We're glad to hear that we are showing places you might want to go. I really enjoy finding new trails. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for your tour of Ashuwillticook. A wonderful reminder of a trail and town that I miss so much.
Thanks for watching. It is a great trail.
I have added this one to my vacation list, thanks.
I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks for watching!

OMG thank you for the beautiful share.
You are welcome. Thanks for watching. We hope to “see” you on another adventure soon.
Nice looking run. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Don. I hope all is well with you and Nancy. Thanks for watching.
We plan on doing this soon. Any recommendations?

@@Adventuresonebikes That does help! Sorry, now I realize my question was a little vague! Also are there any other trials there you can recommend?

How long is this trail??
Almost 12 miles long one-way.
Ebikes technicality are considered mopeds in MA, and it amazes me how those over 50 won't get harassed by the cops for having them like we do.
Oh oh!! We are outlaws. Thanks for sharing that information.
