    Same happened to my trek rail after fitting a unite front chainring - teeth went after 30mile or so - ride over - new front chainring needed!

      No a few trek owners who’s hubs have gone. Common fault. And not just e-bikes. Normal bikes also

    Borrowdale bash is an all time classic, so pleased walla crag is open
    There are so many little variations to add in, good bridle way through Frith wood and another out of stonethwaite

    Looks a great ride, need to get to the lakes. Guessing it was the free hub on John's bike, did the same on my road bike. Probably just needs a clean and a bit of oil my bike shop did it in 5 mins.

    • @TrailFinder
      @TrailFinder  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hub itself. Common fault on trek bikes. The hub that comes with there bikes isn’t very good. Happened to a few trek owners I know

    • @peterward8574
      @peterward8574 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TrailFinder yeah they really cheap out on that component, used to to have a trek roscoe hardtail which had a rubbish hub. It's a bit underhand I think as it's like a hidden component

    Another nice ride ...... I always carry zip ties on a ride just in case of problems like Johns ,,, heres an easier way than explaining a good bodge to often be able to get you home if your rear hub does what Johns did not ideal but always worth a try to get you home or back to your vehicle .... start at 2.25 th-cam.com/video/9XM_gTXrHiQ/w-d-xo.html
