Up my next of the wood, my fav place 😊 staying near Saint Olaf, Englands smallest parish church at the foot of Englands highest mountain 😊

It’s a beautiful place. My dad was from Penrith and I never really appreciated it as a kid but now I love going up there. We were up in May for family birthdays, so got to take in a few rides round Bassenthwaite, Greystoke and Langwathby. It won’t be long till I’m back!
Comment about it coming good in the late afternoon is so true! 😂

It's only a couple of hours' drive away for me but feels like a real escape. Thanks for watching.

Cracking ride. What a landscape - the way that Kirk Fell soars into the clouds.
When you got to Gosforth if you'd turned right along the A595 for a couple of miles then right again before Calder Bridge there's an amazing minor hill road to Ennerdale Bridge. It's so quiet and super-scenic.

Thanks, I'll have a look. I was wary of the A595 to be honest and kept it to a minimum.

@@Cyclingpsyman I'm 3/4 way through your partnering Lakeland video and you're going to do it in the opposite direction - Cold Fell

@clippingin1593 Ah yes, it was mega busy for some reason. Maybe I timed it badly with a shift change at the power station 🤔
