    Ótimo vídeo. Ele executa no pendrive arquivos MIDI FILES multipistas com vários instrumentos? Tem como eu, por exemplo, colocar em MUTE a trilha 4 (melodia) pra eu tocar usando o MIDI como um playback?

      Obrigada! Ficamos felizes que tenha gostado do vídeo. Sim. O 704 tocará até 16 pistas no USB usando todos os instrumentos General MIDI. Você também pode silenciar faixas e tocar junto. Obrigado por assistir!

    Graças aos vídeos e comentários de vocês adquiri um HP704 mas, pra ser sincero, ainda não estou muito satisfeito com seus timbres (talvez porque sempre tive só Yamaha e me acostumei com os sons deles). Gostaria de algumas dicas de configurações, alterações ou combinações de timbres interessantes pra eles. Existe algum grupo, fórum ou link com dicas assim?

    • @RivertonPianoCompany

      Olá de novo! Nas configurações do Piano Designer, eu tentaria isso:
      Tampa: 5, Ressonância do gabinete: 6, Tipo de placa de som: 2, Resolução de cordas em escala total: 8, Escala duplex: 2, Toque de tecla: 50; Afinação principal: 440,0; Ambiente: 2; Brilliance: 2. Deixe o restante das configurações no padrão de fábrica. Isso deve soar um pouco como um Yamaha! Você também pode entrar em contato com a empresa da qual comprou e pedir mais ajuda. Obrigado novamente por assistir!

    Gostaria de alguma dica de configuração (ou combinação de timbres) para o HP704 para um som no estilo da introdução de CARRIE, sucesso do grupo EUROPE nos anos 80. Parabéns pelo canal e obrigado pelos vídeos e dicas que vocês postam. Um grande abraço.

      Olá, Júlio, e obrigado pelas suas simpáticas palavras. Obrigado por assistir! Eu configuraria seu HP704 no modo “Dual” com o nº 49 “E.Piano2” na parte superior e o nº 16 “Magical Piano” na parte inferior. Defina o balanço em 9:7 para que “E.Piano2” fique um pouco mais alto. Isso deve deixá-lo muito próximo do som de CARRIE! Divirta-se!

      Roland doesn't replace their models every year or very two years like some of the other manufacturers. We don't know when a new HP model will come out, but we are pretty confident it will not be in 2023. That said, the prices just went down significantly as of July 1. Please explain the technical and sound differences between Roland HP704, Casio Celviano AP-710 and Kawai CN39. The digital piano will be installed in a 9 sq. m. back panel close to the wall, for teaching a child to play the piano.

    • @RivertonPianoCompany
      @RivertonPianoCompany  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      This is a long and difficult question to answer, but I will try to keep it simple. The biggest difference is that the Roland HP704 is using behavior modeling instead of sampling (which is what both the Kawai and Casio use). Sampling has a technical limitation of about 128 volume levels per key. The HP704 has over 16,000 dynamic (or volume) levels per key. This means the 704 is far more musical and expressive. The 704's tone is also far more adjustable because it is a model (you can change the variables and make it sound very different). The other pianos are limited by the pianos they recorded. Finally, the Roland piano sound is based on a Hamburg Steinway Model D concert grand piano. The Casio is based on a Bechstein piano and the Kawai is based on a Shigeru Kawai. All in all, Roland has a FAR better service record than Kawai or Casio and it is found on concert stages as often as Yamaha (you'll almost never see a Kawai or Casio on a professional stage). Of the three, I'd definitely recommend the Roland. Best of luck to you!

      What a great thought! In truth, the Roland LX-705 replaced the HP-605. However, the HP-704 is the closest modern Roland to what the HP-605 was. ...so - if you want a 605 - your closest piano right now is the HP-704. I hope that helps!

    • @RivertonPianoCompany
      @RivertonPianoCompany  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The HP-605 is discontinued and no longer available. It was very similar to the HP-704, but the new LX-705 is priced and positioned where the HP-605 used to be in Roland's line. The LX-705 has a nicer cabinet and Roland's new "Pure Acoustic" sound chip (with higher resolution, two modeling cores and Pure Acoustic Resonance).

    How do we compare HP704 with LX705, LX706 and CSP-170, please? Thank you very much

    • @RivertonPianoCompany
      @RivertonPianoCompany  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Steve! Thanks for your question. In truth, the best way to compare those pianos is to play them yourself and decide which one you like best. If you just go by "the numbers," the LX-706 has the best speaker system, the best sound chip and the best key action. It also has the longest warranty. ...but that is why it's the most expensive piano on your list. The HP-704 and LX-705 have the same key action... but it's hard to compare their action with the CSP without physically playing them. I have my preference, but yours may be different. Are you looking for certain features? What is most important to you in your selection process?

      @@RivertonPianoCompany In Russia, factories producing acoustic pianos closed in the 90s of the last century. Now the new acoustic pianos made in China are very expensive. In the aftermarket, used acoustic pianos do not hold the master tuning. All that remains is to choose the digital piano. For home use, I'm thinking of buying a Roland HP704. Due to the coronavirus in musical instrument stores, all goods are on order. There is no way to listen to musical instruments before purchasing. Thank you for your consultation!

    Hello Riverton Piano Company, any tips on how to protect my new purchased Roland HP 603A from dust? My piano somehow attracts dust, whenever I remove them, they stick back in a matter of seconds, i have deeply cleaned the apartment and purchased air purifier which i put close to the piano, but the dust managed to stay on the keys even when the lid is closed. Lately i started to use a little water wet towel to remove the dust from the piano body ( not the keys) but am not sure whether this is a good or stupid idea. I would like to buy a piano cover for that as well but not sure what type of fabric to use (100% COTTON?).Also what type of cleaning fabric and liquid to use to clean the body and the keys?
    Bunch of thanks in advance❤

    • @RivertonPianoCompany
      @RivertonPianoCompany  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, H, and thank you for your great questions! Actually, dust isn't a big problem for your Roland. Aside from bothering you (which I deeply understand - I HATE dust), the dust itself won't harm the instrument. All of Roland's electronics are sealed inside the piano - so dust cannot get to them. Still, if you want to clean the piano quickly and easily, I recommend a Swiffer Duster. That will get the bulk of the dust off quickly (without just pushing it around). If you really want to go "the extra mile," you can purchase Roland's Premium Care Kit for Satin Digital Pianos (assuming you have a satin finish - go for the 'High Polish' kit if your piano has a shiny finish). The kit costs about $20, but it comes with all the sprays and a pair of microfiber cleaning cloths. You'll love it. www.roland.com/us/products/pck-ss/ Best of luck to you and thanks for a great question!!

      @@RivertonPianoCompany Hello, many thanks for the fast and prompt reply. My concern mainly is when the dust accumulate under the keys , while the dust is not such a big problem, the build up may affect the way the keys work or notes sound, right? And i guess if what am assuming is true, cleaning the dust build up would require to open up the instrument, remove the keys and so on, right? Am thinking to go and buy 2m square 100% Cotton fabric and use it as a cover, and my Ronland is charcoal black, can the kit for satin finish you shared works for mine? Many thanks in advance 😊

    • @RivertonPianoCompany
      @RivertonPianoCompany  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I totally understand - and you are very welcome. ...but for the dust to build up in any meaningful way, it would take decades and decades. It's just not a problem we encounter in the field. If you want to put a cover on it, that certainly won't hurt anything, but these pianos are designed for rugged use. :) Thanks again for reaching out and for watching our videos! We appreciate you!

    One question please, i bought my Roland Piano HP603, i was playing through my headset, and felt warm so i took off my jacket and suddenly i heared very weird noise through the head set, quickly i realized that it happened because of the static electricity from the jacket, i switch off the piano. I put it on again, and i couldnt say whether there is a damage has happened, am worrying a lot in general, and am wondering if really (this happening) my winter jacket could really damage the piano because of the static electricity?

    • @RivertonPianoCompany
      @RivertonPianoCompany  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello and thanks for your question! Sorry for the delay, but we've been out of town for a special event. The good news is - your Roland is "torture tested" at the factory to avoid damage from a static charge like that. I watched a test where they shocked the piano with a cattle prod and it didn't even flicker (Don't ask me what happened when they poked a few other popular name brands with that cattle prod! Hahaha). ...so the static noise you heard was probably due to something in the headphones - not the piano. You should be fine. Best of luck to you!

      @RivertonPianoCompany  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, Yuan, that is a mystery to me. If you can play the piano, it's "on." If some controls aren't working, that would definitely be a service issue. I would recommend contacting the dealer you purchased it from and ask for a service repair. It should be covered under warranty. Best of luck to you!

    • @RivertonPianoCompany
      @RivertonPianoCompany  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello and thanks for stopping by! I wouldn't worry about the 704. This model is pretty young by Roland's standards. I know for sure there won't be a new HP model in 2022... so you might as well take the plunge! Roland STILL supports Piano Partner 2 and Piano Designer (both FAR older apps)... so I am not worried about them discontinuing support for the app. Remember - these pianos (and their software) are updateable... so you shouldn't worry. Does hp704 use pha50? If yes, is it better than pha4 concert?

    • @RivertonPianoCompany
      @RivertonPianoCompany  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, VC, and thanks for your question. Yes, the HP-704 uses the newer PHA-50 action. Unlike the older HPA-4 Concert action (which is all resin), the HPA-50 action features a wood/resin hybrid design. It also offers far superior action noise reduction and a stabilizing center piano for less "side to side" motion. Every player I've ever shown both actions to preferred the PHA-50 action by far. No bother at all! That is what we're here for! If cabinetry is important to you, you could move up to the LX-705. It has the same key action, but a new sound chip, better looking cabinet and larger speakers. It's not much more money either. ...but I am not a big fan of Kawais (I have sold them... and we had a ton of service issues) so I can't recommend that to you. The CLP is a nice piano (we carry them too), but it has half the warranty, 1/10th the number of sounds NO Bluetooth MIDI, a heavier key touch and a weaker cabinet. I'd stay stick with the 704 or - if you want that upright piano look - go with the 705. Good luck!
