Cutting off that 2" is gonna make a big difference in your CG Hopefully you don't have to add a ton of weight to the nose Good luck be following your build
Yes, it will. I'm making several scale modifications that should help lessen some of the weight that'll need to be added. As with almost every warbird nose weight is needed. I always try to find additions of functional weight vs. dead weight. I also anticipate that the AUW will be in the heavier side once the plane is complete. Thank you for the comment!
I don't think so, the firewall is light and the engine remains in the same spot related to the CG because you're using longer standoffs. What could really compensate this is changing the elevators on that bird to be controlled with a single servo in the front of the plane with a carbon tube as a control rod. That design with 2 servos in the horizontal stabs is what actually brings most of the lead in the front...
