Clara is an idiot. If she sticked to the plan instead of believing that surrendering and proposing democracy to crazed dying dictator. The plot really flopped big time the moment Clara lost her guerrilla pair of balls.
Yeah I have a feeling that Juan was meant to be more evil like he sided with McKay, smuggled viviro form vass and was pretty okay with killing a kid.
For those who didn't know, if you missed your opportunity to leave Yara when the first time you get to Libertad island, you can actually still be able to leave and get the alternate ending whatever your progress is, just by leaving the map. Grab any water or air vehicle and keep going to any edge of the map and there you go. As simple as that.
What about after you beat the game?

@Adriano Not only that, he could have developed love for his kid and he would have still killed him, remember the Prison scene with his Grandfather killer and the table Scene.
Anton lived a life as a prisoner and Slave at a Young age and his only consolation was talking to his father until they cut his tongue, Anton would obviously feel resentment against Revolutionary and Guerrilas and then in a Somewhat "peaceful" Dinner with Libertad's leaders, they tried to kill his son, with all of that in mind makes sense that Anton wouldn't have believed Dani's word and take it as a lie.
It's more of a mercy killing in Antons eyes.

There's such an emphasis placed on Diego's education by Anton. And how Dani seeks to protect them. But then they killed him off anyway? It's so bizarre.
They also hinted at how Dani might seek to become a dictator, but they straight up reject that as well.
The ending is just such a 180 on the established plot...

It's interesting that they put this secret ending as a measure when you leave the map.
Instead of your typical:
- GO back message
- auto-death
- invincible enemy
- jumpscare+ death
- auto teleport
- blockade/barriers.

This ending sadly felt empty af, Bembe never appeared again (despite his relation with Dani's escape from Yara), the game made me think Clara or Juan were building up to be antagonists but Clara became a Martir and Juan Dani's bff even tho he got Clara killed, neither Alejo or Lita got a proper burial even after the main story, Mckay's death doesn't have any impact on the story, Espada's brother never appeared again, there were no further details about Jonron's brother and his relationship with Yelena, that Guerrilla Diego punches doesn't have any relevance. Man i could go on and on, the game was fun and the story was enjoyable, but the ending was just a bumer

I know i was sure el Tigre was trying to tell us Lobo was alive and that’s who the old guerilla was. And when we were imprisoned by Anton I was sure he would play a role in our escape and learning more about the legends. Oh well
They wont allow that sort of ending. Clara is basically a wet dream for the far left. If Ubisoft was smart, they would have turned her into a dictator but since they are limited by the current "trend" of writing, dont bother expecting such endings.

The revolution in far cry 6 is for the most part an idealistic revolution from the creators of the game.
It’s not an entirely realistic guerilla faction because they’re supposed to be the good guys.
Like genuinely everyone but Juan in the extended Libertad group is mostly morally sound. Juan kind of disappointed me but he’s funny so I don’t care.
Honestly though your libertad “villain” was right under your noses. Juan is in league with Vaas and has been selling drugs and who knows what else to whoever he can get his hands on.
After El Tigre’s death I was so pissed that Juan asked you to spare McKay, I was worried that would be it so you can imagine the relief as soon as I started shooting mckay and discovered you could actually kill him 🙏

I'd have accepted that deal with Anton in the true ending. Anton was dying anyways. Spare the guerilla leader, be the general. When Anton kicks the bucket, Diego and Dani can sell Vivero to the US, enough to get funds to make working conditions safer in the farms so we can go full overdrive on Vivero production, then we can go full Tony Montana/"Push it to the Limit" and sell Vivero to the highest bidder and make billions. Yara will become the Switzerland of the Carribbean.
it would be important to open Viviro to america before Anton stepped down since the only reason the Americans were so willing to make all those concesions to Yara was Anton's hard policy making it nigh impossible, after he's gone unless Dani is seen as the real power in Yara it will have a weak image due to having a child leader who might be able to be bribed and made a puppet to american interests.
whereas if done Anton should be able to get a very good deal securing stuff like dropping the blockade and securing large amount of "international aid" or a "interest free loan" to fund the rapid development of Viviro production as you say, bonus points it could have Diago lead behind the scenes for the negotiations and show the Americans not to underestimate him and add to his character in leading Yara for the people there, if it turns out it was he who spearheaded it and brought prosperity to them it could add to his popularity
This should have been the real true ending, its just the smartest thing to do. Problem is the other factions will see libertad as traitors and would definitely attack us. The only way is if we stop the fucked up shot and show that yara will be different. People will be fine with a dictatorship as long as it makes progress that people can see, as long as most people can be comfortable enough and see improvements in their lives they won’t oppose it as much. Tbh I really wished they made el doctore not a sick fuck, imagine having a doctor character that wanted to help yara improve as fast as possible even though through sick medical trials that leaves them conflicted which would have been an actual dilemma for players wether to kill him or not since like it or not he was making progress and he wasn’t doing it for his own entertainment

The fact that Dani straight up leaves and different factions remain is hella realistic, just look at Libya, they united against Gadafi with foreign help and now they want him back because their incompetence turned the country into a shithole and now they are fighting each other for power.

They were not her friends, they were using her. Clara was less ruthless, but more manipulative than Anton, since she had to convince people to fight for her. However, she was no better than him. Her vision would possibly kill even more people, she admits it.

@@Aaron-8989 now compare that to what happened to Anton's father. The rebels didn't care that Diego was a kid, they just wanted all Castillios dead. So yeah, Diego died a less painful death comparing to what have happend to him from the hands of the guerrillas.

Fully honnest, the endings did seem to be a disapointment. Just one ending with a secret one in between, older far cry's used to have an alternative ending
I prefer the one ending, most people won't play it through more than once.

@@mirkoblaco812 Thank you sir, to be honest I consider Far Cry phenomenal, because it plays a lot on the player's moral, what do you consider to be the best ending, from the choice of 2 horrible ones, would you rather give up to save your life, at the cost of an another, younger ? Or would you make anything to save this life, even if it means you have to give yours ?
That was also the trend of the series for years, it's just strange that for Far Cry 6 they went for something more "Just Cause-ish" with a really poor story, where out of nowhere you get super important stuff for 2 seconds (the reason why Rico's an orphan) then it's never talked about anymore, and it goes back to very cringe affaires, with all the machinean mood. Which gave me a strong sense of disappointement.
Diego turns out to be the biggest victim of this game, but the player never really realizes it, because the scenario dosen't care about it. The only way to save Diego finally is by giving up Libertad, which is a hard decision, but it feels unimpactful because of the execution, it's rather an easter egg than a true choice to do. It deserved way better treatment. Gosh even Faith in Far Cry 5 got this kind of developpement which makes you sad for her. Why Diego couldn't though he was a main character ? I even do think he should have been made playable for few bits of moments, creating moral choices from what you decide to do, to show rather that you want to follow the steps or your father, because you love him since he is your only family, or disappointing him, because you want people to not be the victims of a tyran, which makes Diego closer to Dani, a dilemma, a choice with consequences you cannot do, but you have to, this IS what Far Cry was meant to be, Far Cry 2, you had to chose how to die, Far Cry 4, you had to chose which demon to follow, Far Cry 5, you had to chose how you would be doomed, Far Cry New Dawn, mercy death, or punishement spare ? Only you know.

Continue the fight for Yaran Revolution - Clara and Diego is dead, Castillo commits suicide. Established the Interim Government, Castillo's Loyalists were now insurgents (Post-game free play mode), crushing the insurgents will establish reconstruction and free elections in the near future.
Escape Yara - Deserted the Libertad, Castillo crushed the rebels 3 months later. Directly Ends the Game (Game Over)

They really should have added more endings to this game,the secret ending is nice but the actual ending wasn’t the best,they could have made a ending where Anton dies and Diego becomes President,then Diego stops the war and stuff in Yara,or where you join Anton,or just where everyone dies,maybe something like other foreign countries come and take over Yara depending on your choices
isn't it like the point? It has one ending because it probably isn't the end of the story, guess there's a dlc on the way or something. Moreover, I guess the creators want to show how revolution turns out when it succeeds - and they only turn out the one and only way

Tiny thing: Why tf is there only one ending?! Why doesn’t Juan turn evil?! It was perfectly set up for him to become the next evil dictator, then Dani has to choose whether to kill him or obey his commands! Also, what was up with that thing where Juan accuses Dani of only sparing Diego because he/she was “Addicted to the Revolution”?! That made zero sense and it went nowhere!
Because libertad will be the next evil, they think they can make revolution after killing anton, but when u get that much power without even having knowledge to use it it may only lead to another chaos

To be honest, considering the fact that Diego is a pretty smart guy, I think he'd do the right thing after Anton dies. So us leaving is in my opinion the best choice to take.
Not really sure at the start Diego didn’t seem that bad he was just a kid trying to leave but throughout the game you could definitely see he was becoming more like his father especially when he punched the old legend in the face showing that he despised people for just hating because he carried the Castillo name not to mention that he protected his father in the end even tho he knew the terrible deeds Anton did in the end i dont wanna say it was to late for Diego to change but if Dani actually left Anton to do what he wanted there is no way Diego wouldn’t have become like his father and his grandfather before him

But In the end, they didn't win. They didnt kill Anton, he killed himself. They lost Diego, the only one fit to rule Yara, and to rule Yara peacefully. They won the battle, but lost the war

Unless Juan set it up from the beginning, maybe he wanted Clara dead so he can take control over Libertad and change it to his image, he and Clara Don't always get along, they have different perspectives in controlling Yara and so that's what Juan did he had an opportunity and he seized it because it will eventually lead to Clara's death without him doing it.

Guns and Money for the "revolution" and anything from Yara to the outside world. Would the revolution end, than he'd loose his business and no Clara means he can sell whatever he wants since he and Clara had differences on how to deal things.

Imagine what Anton went through when he was Diego’s age. He loved his father, Gabriel Castillo, and guerrillas tortured and murdered him right in front of Anton, then imprisoned him for 15 years simply for being Gabriel’s son and forced him to work at a tobacco plant. He must of had PTSD going through his head when Dani came in. He didn’t want his son to go through what he went through. That’s why he killed Diego. And how could he just take Dani’s word for it that he/she would protect him? After watching freedom fighters mutilate his father then put him through forced labor, how could he just trust Dani? So I don’t blame Anton for what he did. If you really think about it, he’s the real victim.

I was hoping the decision with McKay would make a difference at the end. Like if you take his money there are reinforcements and Clara and Diego both live. But if you kill the bastard they both die. Would have been an interesting way to handle it. I kept waiting for Diego to kill his Papa.
Imagine a game where a similar situation happens but nobody spares the guy and therefore nobody realised the game could end that way.
In my opinion and knowledge of history I believe that he was trying to spare his son the same fate he had as a child being abused and harassed by guerrillas passing many hardships as the son of the former dictator growing up for him was a nightmare therefore he would rather kill his son to than let him get man handled by the angry masses. that takes love

The only problem I have with the ending is how little impact it has on the map, which is odd since you’d expect the overthrowing of a dictator to completely change the country
Military still regularly patrols the country. The capitol city is still heavily guarded, the PA spewing propaganda is still there and you’ll be wanted if you even step foot in the capitol building that you just took control of. It’s like the guerillas just raided the capitol, killed a bunch of people, left some graffiti and just left and it makes it all feel unsatisfying
This is an Ubisoft game.. usually another civil war break out after this, since not all of the people feel Dani, a war hero, represent their interest, CIA wants another agent, the choice of the remnants of ex-military and some highe-ups will also be very interesting... I genuinely think Ubisoft touched a topic too big for them to handle. It is not their team couldn't do it, it is the board might disapprove - too risky, if a mediocre game with some cool gimmicks can sell, why bother?

They overthrew the dictator, yes. But there's still plenty of military and government left behind. They still have to fight them and whoever continues to support Castillo. And just like what is said after, there likely won't be any free elections and such afterwards.
Also they'd have to change the map a lot, especially for the city since most of the city is walled off and there's nothing there. Also why you can't fly over the city, you'd see a lot of nothing if you could get over the walls.
Not disagreeing with you though, it would be nice to see more changes that reflect this new era of Yara.
With regards to Vaas at the end. I think it means he SURVIVED Far Cry 3, since you only "killed" him in a hallucination, and he may have been wounded, but still could have lived. Also, it wouldn't be the first time a Far Cry character has returned (Prosper Kouassi/Longinus). If Vaas Survived, but only really recovered after Hoyt was dead, I can see him turning to smuggling.
FarCry 7 = Vaas survives the events of FarCry 3, becomes presidente of Yara, develops Nukes, start nuclear War. Yara is destroyed. New "Fallout" survival game mechanics.

Would be nice that after Dani destroys Castillo's empire and after the deaths of Anton and Diego then she could just leave Yara and head for Miami like how she initially planned before she joined Clara's faction, I wish that was included in the gameplay ending not just in the secret ending because there’s nothing left for Dani to do, she was just hired help to increase more supporters to stand against Castillo's forces, Dani needs to take a break and just start a new life outside of Yara, she isn't knowledgeable enough in politics nor is she leader material and it's for the best to leave it at the hands of the other factions to settle their differences and figure out what to do from there on how to operate Yara.
Also I despise Juan for a number of reasons and I don't agree with him at all, he leaves a bad reputation, his decisions really pissed me off and his motives are somewhat sinister, he is turning to be a greedy and power hungry villain at the end.

Immagine this: Ubisoft and Rockstar make a Collab so that Dani escapes Yara, goes to Miami and there becomes GTA 6 main character.
You can unlock the secret ending at the very beginning of the game. When Clara gives you the option to stay and fight or leave, you can leave and it’ll do that.
"It's only over when we're free" can have another meaning when you consider that death is the only true freedom.

Diego knew he was going to die. One way or another. Which is why he wasn't mad when he was dying. Anton legit took the path of a Cat Mom eating her young so people wouldn't hurt them. It's so tragic but true.

If they were to make a dlc I feel that they would make you play as Diego opposing his father's rule in secret and assisting libertad and Castillo didn't find out until the end and as such killed him for betraying him

So basically the after credits reveal that vaas is still alive. Makes sense cause in Far Cry 6 we never saw his dead body.
From what i can tell this is only one ending and its the original version. Theres another ending with vaas talking to a ball leading us into the next farcry. Hes the smuggler juan is talking to at the end of this clip
There's something about this game that tell us about Revolution and sht, just like Dani said "When Tyranny is the Law, Revolution is Order" and then next thing you know after revolution is another tyranny.

I FLIPPED when I first beat the game and heard vaas, and it literally confirms that he is alive since far cry 3 takes place like 2007 to 2010 and far cry 6 takes place in 2019.

One of the problems I had with this game was not enough endings like Far Cry 4 and 5. I wish there was another ending where it was Castillo who caused the nuclear war causing the ending of Far Cry 5 and starting Far Cry New Dawn.
