Running X360 version in 1080p60 with 8xMSAA and 16xAF probably. I guess Microsoft probably adds this game to backwards compatibility so it could run at 1080p. Sony could do same to PS2 version. Running in 1080p with stable framerate is better than nothing.

The AI racers is an option that can be easily changed with mods, so its literally a press of a button for devs

Still play this game from time to time! Nice comparison! I thought the PS2 was decent while GC wasn't the best in terms of quality. Xbox was the best looking from that generation. In my opinion I like the 360 version because it had a more look and real feel of the graphics. PC if maxed out with the widescreen mod fix is right up there with the 360 behind it but the motion blur was a bit too much.

@@patricksedler9697 are you kidding me? The PS2 have more memorable games like GTA and NFS,The Xbox only have better graphics,Modern is not always the best, don't screw with me!
Isn't the rearview mirror an option you can turn off and on? It's been nearly a decade since I last played this game but I seem to recall it being that way.
I've had this game for 11 years now on PS2 and haven't played it on anything else (yet). I think I got used to it looking that blurry, because for me it looks really good compared to some other PS2 games from the same year that I own. Also, there are in fact illuminating headlights in the PS2 version.
+RookerVision - Gaming Videos It's really up in the air which of those two is the graphically more capable system, especially since few third party devs had any incentives push the NGC console. Often times the GC version has inferior textures due to the inferior storage capacity of the discs, also I think the GameCube can't stream textures off disc in real time, which both the PS2 and Xbox could, often further impacting texture quality. Anyway, just find it very curious that he textures are that much worse , even at a lower resolution the ps2 usually d better textures, like in NFS Carbon and the True Crime series (the few I've compared).
@@RookerVision I have GC version and it's absolutely worse then ps2 version. On PS2 version you have shadows on the road by environment and stunning sun blinding with color correction to orange tones. On GC you have absolutely depressed gray version.
I had it on 360 but that's gone, so I ordered the black label edition just to use on my backwards compatible ps3, does the ps3 just upscale ps2 games automatically or is there a setting or anything that you know of?
In the GameCube version when you look at a bio of a Blacklist racer, you can only show the first and last half of the clip. It doesn't show like the car view
The 360 version looks best. The PC version was actually ported from that, but back then Microsoft was paying everyone to make PC ports look like rubbish...
I play the PS2 version an for its time the graphics was good but people will say the graphics don’t look good now a days I still play the PS2 version and still love it good memories as a kid back then
I've grown more appreciative of these games as time has went on, as these were the Call of Duty/Assassin's Creed of their day, franchise fatigue had set in by 2004. They've aged well, and still provide a lot of fun. I always found it annoying that Xbox 360 owners got customisable soundtracks and the original Xbox didn't, even though it was perfectly capable of playing custom soundtracks. I remember hating that they force fed the god awful top 40, chart infused 'street' songs from 2005 into this game. It ages the game more than it should. EA really should have let Romolo Di Prisco create the soundtrack for Most Wanted. Need for Speed 4: Road Challenge (High Stakes in the USA) is still my favourite though as it's the least American-ised NFS game.
+Xenon Xyanide CUstomizable soundtrack should be in every Need for Speed game. As you said, it will help the games not age. All though I do enjoy listening to old rock songs..
1:48 You can also enable those trashpacks and other stuff if you turn up the graphics. Just wanna point that out. (I only know that works for pc idk about the other)
LogaSoba PC its the best due to the widescreen support, 60fps and the option to use high resolutions above the default 640x480. Consoles side, the Xbox clearly had the advantage running at 480p 60fps with rich colors and a darker palette overall, followed by GameCube also running at 480p 60fps with antialiasing and great controls, then we have the PS2 which its simply awful, running at 512x448i with no support for widescreen or progressive scan, also framerate drops and jaggies everywhere alongside some lower polygon counts.
In my honestly opinion, PS2 version was reviewed not fair cause to 480i output on component. It really hurts, because you are focused on blurry image, but not on graphics effects, details, etc. Because your opinion about PS2 versions of games are rated unreliably (due to the partial support of progressive scan in PS2 games), I prefer using advanced scalers like OSSC or Framemeister. Have a nice day!
At first, I wanna be honest: PS2 is a bit better than the gamecube. Ok, the wide screen effect doesn't look as good as on gamecube but the colors are more intensive because of the blurry effect. I played this game since I'm very young (9 years) and an the past, I didn't care about the graphics, I always played on medium running at 800x600 on PC and the important thing weren't the graphics, it was the gameplay and it was awesome. In later times (13 years) I played again at my old PC which is still in my room and then I noticed the bad graphics because of newer games. Before I didn't have any other games. I only had Hot Pursuit 2 (which has nice graphics for 2002) and most wanted. I wanna say that graphics aren't important for good old games but im comparison vids like this there should be the highest graphics. I hope you'll read that and maybe you can answer and I'm sorry that I may do some mistakes because I'm German. Keep doing great comparisons and could you do a comparison of GTA Vice City because there are some differences too.
MetroidJunkie I know that the PS2 is the weakest system of all 6th gen consoles but If you compare the many games, you'll see that there are some pretty good looking ones on PS2 compared to the Gamecube.
LNCRFT [Currently inactive] I think that has more to do with the Gamecube not being properly utilized. Well, that and the storage medium is smaller so textures tended to be compressed more heavily on it. Many Gamecube exclusives tend to show off what the system's really capable of, like Metroid Prime and Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess.
I had a ps2 but i recently broke after over 8 years of use.I used it a lot and i loved this game and carbon.I have a 360 but i'm just wondering about getting Carbon and most wanted on the 360.I'm just wondering of it is a worthy upgrade for the money.Ill be realistically be spending 30 euros for the two games.
The DS definitely got the raw end of the deal there. It's obviously not going to compare to the PSP but they could have tried better than this, most N64 racers even had more polish than that.
I haven't played gba version but I can say with straight face that gba is better than ds. Because I could forgive ds for it's graphics but controls suck so bad on ds version from videos I have seen of gba version it's controls are much better than ds version's.
MetroidJunkie C.O.P the Recruit has graphics comparable with PSP middle to high end graphics. Also runs at 60 fps meanwhile both GTA's run at 25-30 fps.
Childhood... good feelings everytime thinking of this game. It would be awesome if they would do a remake and just patch the graphics not the steering etc
TheBoyz Gaming finally someone that agrees, I like how everyone hates on the ps2 version, but that was the version that made the game popular, it was the best and original one in my opinion
+RookerVision - Gaming Videos GCN does have the worst port. You forgot to mention so many missing effects and reflections in that version. Besides the resolution, PS2 has way better graphics in this game.
The PC looks better at max settings with good texture mods and color correction (from ENBSeries or SweetFX). the Xbox 360 version has better road textures and a better skybox. The guy in the video is right. EA made the X360 version after the others due to Microsoft wanting NFSMW to be a launch title that showed the system's power.
Jasmin Višća fool, we are talking about games from 2005, compare the power of 360 with a potato computer in the same year, a PC from 2005 can it run this game in low or mid settings
I have a question. If i put NFS MW for Xbox classic version on a 360 the game works ? And another one, the graphics will be the same for Xbox classic or will be enhanced automatically ? Sorry for my english, i'm from Brazil.
Gamecube (30 to 45 fps) and PC (60 fps or less) has an unlocked framerate, while all other versions have it locked to 30fps. Gamecube does have a rear view mirror and widescreen mode but its only availble in the bumper camera mode in the player options.
Nice video! I never understood what's with the blurry backgrounds on PS2 games. I've also seen GTA games on this port that have this problem, the newer ones I mean. It's like the PS2 barely got released back in the day and it was already obsolete. :\
My cousin rented the Ps2 version in 2005 and his disc was defective. I've played 4 versions of the game. The Gamecube in 2006, DS in 2007, Xbox 360 in 2011, and Black edition for PC in 2017. Of all of them, I still wish I had my Xbox 360 with it.

@@RookerVision Depends where, here the GC came out 2 months after Xbox.
I loved this game as a kid. Played it on PS2 and I never had any issue with anything. Maybe those were just simpler times... Either way I'm definitely buying this game for 360.
If there's something you're missing in the graphics comparison is the spark effects. PC only has the glowing sparks while other have the actually sparks.
i remember playing this on ps2.
man do i miss this game!
I used to have this on Game Cube when I was 12 back in 2005. Man I missed those days.😭😭😭
awesome comparison dude, I love that your opinion was very well rounded and non biased because you were fair with all of them, I had the psn version and I can't believe I used to play it looking like that! lol
+Raging Gamer Thank you dude... I love all consoles, and since I collect for all of them, I always wanted to know which played and looked best on which system. So I came up with this show. As you said, I'm not picking favorites at all, I just judge it by what I see when they are lined up...
+RookerVision - Gaming Videos keep up the awesome work dude, I subbed cause I'd love to see more, I actually recently bought the 360 version of this game and I'm thinking on picking up nfs carbon too.
+Raging Gamer I'll do a side by side of carbon also. Since its on ps3 also.
+RookerVision - Gaming Videos thats cool dude I'll definitely watch that!
+Raging Gamer at the end of splinter cell side by side. I'll show two games and ask fans to vote for which is next. Carbon will be one of them. Which ever wins is next episode. What doesn't win is episode after that
I remembered as a kid the PS2 graphics looks like GTAV, kinda weird
Fr bro
Crt tv makes a huge difference. The resolution looks crispy on crt. On lcds or newer you can see the big pixels
+Lemuel Falcon Yeah I applied the widescreen mod fix after I did the video, a lil late. But looks great
Really does look great even on a PC that's high end and can almost look like the 360 version in terms of graphic quality.
I've never seen a so expressive comparison. I'll share this video. It's really nice.
Thank you
Thanks for doing this video i love this game so much
+MrMekmek29 no problem. Glad you enjoyed it
What is the name of the rock song in the background ? As I know it is "Heavy Metal Guiter Riff" style song but don't know the actual name.
Please, tell.
This game occurs in the same world as Deus Ex Human Revolution, so much yellow.
Stingy McDuck you forgot NFS undecover
GTA 4 on PC is not yellow like in Xbox 360
I prefer the PS2 graphics, it doesn't have that yellow/green filter, and the background blur in the cutscenes looks good.
me too
I think this is the best comparison video... Need more comparison video!!
+AFiQ AiMAN MHD ADNAN I have about 30 or so made, but only like 8 in this format. I plan to keep making more, they just take awhile to do so. Thank for watching, and stay tuned for Splinter Cell Side by Side.
+RookerVision - Gaming Videos Keep up the good work guys..
+AFiQ AiMAN MHD ADNAN thank you. We will keep it up. :)
'I like the PSP over the DS because of the graphics'
Said like a true 8 year old.
'The PS2 its worst then the Xbox 360 because its not HD' That Sound like a phrase of a 3 YEARS Kid
Aammar Mait But the ps2 is worse than the 360, the games on the 360 are way better.
@@patricksedler9697 are you kidding me? The PS2 have more memorable games like GTA and NFS,The Xbox only have better graphics,Modern is not always the best, don't screw with me!
Aammar Mait Lol, dosent respond, know your place trash!
It aint the graphics that counts, its what you do with it.
Good comparison. PC with mods however demolishes all other versions.
Isn't the rearview mirror an option you can turn off and on? It's been nearly a decade since I last played this game but I seem to recall it being that way.
Yeah, there is, but only on 360 and PC
+RookerVision - Gaming Videos Oh wow, I just knew that
On the PS2 Gamecube and Xbox the Rearview mirror only worked in bumper and hood cams and not in the third person cams.
I've had this game for 11 years now on PS2 and haven't played it on anything else (yet). I think I got used to it looking that blurry, because for me it looks really good compared to some other PS2 games from the same year that I own. Also, there are in fact illuminating headlights in the PS2 version.
Man...This Game On All Platforms Look Really Good : )
+GameNow Yeah, it's crazy how many ports of this game there is.
RookerVision - Gaming Videos
Yeah It's Insane! : )
I have GameCube version of NFSMW and I really love it!
The textures on the GC were horrid, it's difficult to believe the ps2 version looks WORSE.
+Justin Goretoy The PS2 was only displaying 480i, it couldn't go to 480p natively. So it made it look the worst.
You have now a new subscriber bro, you are pretty good and you speak pretty good.
+AaronGamer 700 thank you dude. Glad you enjoyed the video
I have the Ps2 version and it's not as bad as shown in this video. I use component cable.
GameCube, first console, first game
I love this guy's intro
+Nikhil Theekshana Thank you Nikhil, yoou're awesome for saying that. :)
The 360 version looks best. The PC version was actually ported from that, but back then Microsoft was paying everyone to make PC ports look like rubbish...
That's something we agree on
Just found your channel last night. Your content is awesome and I can tell a lot of work went into this! Consider me subscribed!
You did a mistake. Mirrors are in all versions of the game they just need to be turned on in settings.
Uh oh
So, I was not the only one to have it as my favourite game on pc back in 2007-2006, and I felt happy because I know that this game is still loved
Graphics Comparision
8. Gameboy Advance
7. Nintendo DS
6. PSP
5. PS2
4. Nintendo Gamecube
3. XBOX
2. Games For Windows
1. XBOX 360
I play the PS2 version an for its time the graphics was good but people will say the graphics don’t look good now a days I still play the PS2 version and still love it good memories as a kid back then
I just finished the PS2 version. But hell, I fell in love with the X360 version wanting to play it again on X 😍
Very very cool video man!!
All though I do enjoy listening to old rock songs..
can pc do custom tracks like the user tracks radio in gta?
1:48 You can also enable those trashpacks and other stuff if you turn up the graphics. Just wanna point that out.
(I only know that works for pc idk about the other)
Oh and the mirror you can also enable that. Maybe xbox just has them enabled by default.
Good to know, thank you
you should do simpsons hit and run. (ps2, xbox, gamecube, pc)
I call bullshit.
Loved this game! Best race game ever!
Did the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game have the same features as the PSP port of the game and the Black Edition of the PS2 version of the game?
can you do a video for half-life 2?
+Gamer Dude In the future I sure will. I plan on releasing lots more here soon
RookerVision - Gaming Videos ok thanks for replying :)
+Gamer Dude no problem. Love to talk with fans. I know it's been 4 weeks since last side by side. A new one is coming
RookerVision - Gaming Videos Great!
In?
What type of cables where you using for the PlayStation2
The Gamecube version appears to have been gimped unnecessarily, its GPU is closer to the Xbox's than the Ps2's, it should look much better than this.
MetroidJunkie I think that this is just a bad optimisation. Game can luck much better on any console. Just the Xbox 360 version is optimized.
LNCRFT [Currently inactive] Well, the Ps2 is by far the weakest of the 3 systems, having almost no hardware support for any kind of pixel shader.
Worth it...
WTF GBA Version Look's Better than DS Version o.O
Shit EA...
You are one of the best youtubers what i seen from rewiewers so you are #1
No he's not.
XBOX + XBOX 360 (consoles) Wins . PC Perfect...
what about the later-released Black Edition, though? is the PC version still based off 6th-gen, or did they redo it based on the 360 version?
Nope, Black Edition only adds the extra challenge and bonus video content AFAIK. It's still the same graphics... :(
I like the graphic
1.Gamecube
2.Window
3.Xbox360
4.Xbox
5.PS2
Childhood... good feelings everytime thinking of this game. It would be awesome if they would do a remake and just patch the graphics not the steering etc
i still play the ps2 version because ps2 is my childhood.
Finally someone who enjoys the game instad of complaining about the graphics.
Kamillenpower and grafics are good on ps2 also I have 51,000,000 bounty on ps2
TheBoyz Gaming finally someone that agrees, I like how everyone hates on the ps2 version, but that was the version that made the game popular, it was the best and original one in my opinion
it's the best ver and if you don't like grafics then get better cable it won't increase grafics but make video quality then boom also ps2 is awsome
Alexis the gamer bro your spelling, are you 8?
Can you tell me what's the song / music during your review? Came here by chance and never played the game so is it a song from it's soundtrack?
Surprised that the ps2 has the worse port .. thought gc would be worse
+Aaron Villalobos if they enabled 480p for the ps2 it would look better
RookerVision - Gaming Videos gotcha. Well i have a ps2 to HDMI adapter, so it'll make it look better
+Aaron Villalobos it truly will. I decided not to use it when comparing because I want to compare them natively.
+RookerVision - Gaming Videos GCN does have the worst port. You forgot to mention so many missing effects and reflections in that version. Besides the resolution, PS2 has way better graphics in this game.
baxter009 Also many songs in the game are shortened in the GameCube version.
how did you make it look like that on your tv on mine it looks horrible. do you use 720p or 1080p, expanded or standard mode? on xbox 360?
Even tho PC looks the best by far, you are trying so hard to make xbox360 version the best one, could have fooled others...
#PCMASTERRACE
no, Xbox 360 is the best version, better Textures, better light effects, etc
Then go play high-end games on your xbox360
The PC looks better at max settings with good texture mods and color correction (from ENBSeries or SweetFX). the Xbox 360 version has better road textures and a better skybox. The guy in the video is right. EA made the X360 version after the others due to Microsoft wanting NFSMW to be a launch title that showed the system's power.
Calin Boss Gaming x360 plays Crysis? At Max?
Jasmin Višća fool, we are talking about games from 2005, compare the power of 360 with a potato computer in the same year, a PC from 2005 can it run this game in low or mid settings
I have a question. If i put NFS MW for Xbox classic version on a 360 the game works ? And another one, the graphics will be the same for Xbox classic or will be enhanced automatically ? Sorry for my english, i'm from Brazil.
The ps2 looks bad bcus you played it in an emulator, dont make ps2 sound so bad
That is a false statement, but I appreciate you stopping by. I used a PS2 kind sir..
heres a neat trick
play the video
then type awesome
look at progress bar
enjoy :)
Gamecube (30 to 45 fps) and PC (60 fps or less) has an unlocked framerate, while all other versions have it locked to 30fps. Gamecube does have a rear view mirror and widescreen mode but its only availble in the bumper camera mode in the player options.
On ps2 I always had lights turned on and the rearview mirror can be added in the options menu
