On the newer RX. Click the “I” next do the RX350 in iPhone Bluetooth and make sure show notifications is turn on. That will read your texts through navigation. Also press and hold the off hook button in steering wheel to activate Siri to send message, etc.
Hi thanks I am going to try all this steps on my 2010 RX because I did pair the phone but unfortunately I can’t hear the audio music if I play TH-cam or pandora or any multimedia it shows the music is playing on the car screen but it doesn’t sound. The phone call are fine they work but the audio music for some reason it doesn’t. So I will delete everything and try this steps I hope it works
Yeah, it should work. Another thing you can do when you're playing TH-cam, if you're on iPhone, swipe down from top right of the screen and click the top right icon above Now Playing, and change the output to bluetooth
@@CarolinaCowboys NP, I have been looking at the 2016-2019's. Thx for the tip on the NAV option for the bigger screen. I had found a 17/Premium but it did not have NAV. Not that I need NAV. But the bigger screen/functions are noticeable. Also I checked on the Lexus forums for a breakdown of the standard/premium/ML stereo systems. One commenter had installed a under the seat type Sub(Kicker) and said it really filled out the sound nicely. There's no need to add more bass, there's the same subwoofer as in the 2010 model and provides good quality. If you watch my 2010 vs 2016 comparison you'll see what I think should be improved. Also, I was tempted to get a non-nav because who even uses nav in a car anymore, we all have a smart phone with realtime data. However, there's more to it than just the nav, plus the ability to control alot of vehicle functions from the nav screen and the nav is part of the premium package which includes other upgrades.
@@CarolinaCowboys I am just going by the L/B comments. I did watch the vid. But I will go back and watch it again. I am on the fence for a GX or RX. But want the Lexus "Smooove". Done with sports cars or trucks. Want quiet cushy and a nice sound system with Toyota reliability. I really like the Audi's. But would only lease them.
@@mikejohnson9118 I was also on the fence with a GX because I wanted that V8 with towing power. But once I drove it I immediately was let down. It drives like a luxury boat and the tech is 2 generations behind the RX. Since the RX is their number one selling vehicle they put all their effort into making it great.

How can I get that screen to show up? I have a Lexus RX350 and I’m having a hard time getting it work with maps.
What year RX350 do you have?
If it connects to someone else’s phone when you first turn on the car, does it automatically play audio from the other persons phone?
Yes it will do that, usually I only connect one phone to the car, or if you put your phone top on the list it should only connect to your phone.
