Bought a 2014 new off the lot. Great build quality. Clocking near 800k on it. Never had any issues. Only thing I can knock it for is that it is under powered for its size and wish it had a 5cyl or 6cyl option or just more power. They could get alot more power out of those 2.5L 4cyls if they wanted to.
I agree. When I bought my Rogue 4 years ago, it was good. Now, it's merely adequate. It'll get you from A to B, and the storage is good, but the A pillars are massive, and the CVT is meh. I'll wait to see what 2021 brings, but will probably switch to something else. Also, why is the light interior only available with white exterior in Canada? Odd
Never buy a Nissan with a Jatco CVT! Nissan just settled their THIRD Class-action lawsuit involving FIVE models with the Jatco CVT! They are defective! Look it up for yourself.
@@lasbagman1 I am glad to hear that! Maybe the people complaining had a different experience. I have a a nice one. I am also grateful of my experience. I hope you continue to enjoy it
Bought the 2019 Rogue S AWD in October. Got easily attached to it being an owner of a 2012 Altima 2.5 S. Although it feels like they ripped the engine out the Altima and threw it in the rogue it seems more responsive. Even though I own a base model, I like the tech it has in it. Surprisingly fuel efficient. Control wise, it's responsive for it's class. I don't drive it to it's upper limits, I live in the mountains so needed an AWD, was perfect for road trips, great for my first SUV. However... Lack of horse power compared to other SUVs I've driven.
The Rogue has been perennially underpowered, and not sure why Nissan has left it that way. The thing has needed a better engine since the 1st gen came out, and Nissan just kept shoving them out the door. Here's hoping that Nissan makes the Rogue more competitive at some point, and migrates the 2.0T into the platform, and also loses the CVT. However, given Nissan's recent performance, this seems less and less likely as their redesign is likely being done on the cheap.
@@digitaldoc100in Europe the Rogue is sold under the name X-Trail and comes with a 7-speed DCT transmission. Though you can also get it with a manual or the CVT.
My first vehicle I can say the best body is on the Nissan Rogue krom Edition. Including the chrome rims I'm a very cool guy with swag and i felt in luv with Nissan lol u call it betty white i can say the body style hasn't really changed i guess the Murano would be a good pick because the engine is a little stronger. But its definitely out doing the Toyota body style cars suvs look so basic Lexus SUVs. Had the best body shapes i seen some look like space ships i guess i wait tell the cyber truck come out and get that i probably keep my Nissan sense it my 1st suv and i had to added alot of features like touchscreen push start door speakers Alpine bigger rims😂 overall Nissan prob last forever i really luv Nissan vs the other cheaper brands i can talk about my suv allday 😂
There was some weird issue with the first CX-9 video file we uploaded and then it was SOOOOO WINDY (and cold) the day we shot this. The audio ain't great, but it's the best we could do. Thanks for watching! - Craig
Do anyone feeling the cold outside into the Nissan Rogue? For example, I turned on the heat for 30 minutes then turn it off. In 15 mintues later, I don't feeling the heat in my car, like the heat went to out and I feeling the cold outside like the cold air into my car..
@Composure omg thank you! Nissan made this Rogue well built. I traded mine in at almost 50k miles and aside from oil changes, all I did was change the brakes and tires around 43k miles. Nothing else was wrong with it.
Had a Rogue as a rental for a long road trip. Plenty of room and decent exterior styling, but just not a great car. Good lower end power, but weak as the revs and speed increase. The steering was awful and artificial (and I disabled the lane keeping which also was terrible) and the interior was nearly of the "hose down" variety. I'm not a huge Honda fan, but this makes the CR-V look like a premium model. Personally, the best cars are coming out of Korea (or Georgia/Alabama) with Hyundai and KIA.
The name for this vehicle in other countries is a vehicle that Canadians and American used have called X-Trail. You all probably remember how horrible that car is.
You buy a Nissan when you can't afford the lease on a Toyota or a Honda. And the same goes for Infiniti, if you can't afford a luxury vehicle and you want to show that you have money you buy an infiniti!🤣 It's funny but it's true!
It's called the X-Trail in South Africa and it's very popular here. Price wise, it beats the competition when it comes to standard equipment.

@Greg Droder yeah that’s why I gave mine up. It was unbearably slow. Great car though
Lol 800k
Been driving a Rogue for 5 years, ZERO problems with CVT transmission. Please muppets!
Man those audio levels when your outside the cabin are brutal... Also didn't people go to Arby's for the curly fries?

I just hope for the 2021 they don't remove the dividers in the trunk! In our 2015 never got use to that ability to organize a trunk..lol

The people complaining are probably bad drivers. If you don't take care on how you drive... your going to have malfunctions.

No actually the Rogue is quite bad. Gutless power and an awful Jatco CVT. Could not pay me to buy one. I'm sure Nissan will blame Ghosn for this one
Is that you Scotty kilmer? 🤣 But what you say is true.

2019 Altima Gang
Next the 2020 Sentra?
Wow no mention of the LEADER MAZDA CX 5 in this comparo and I have 1 and is FUN
Nice hat, Craig!!! The ancient Rouge, not so nice. Extremely poor resale value, thanks to the craptastic CVT failures....
How is 4 years old
2:42 are you serious!? Hahaha
Great pickup for Roadshow...but I do feel for AutoGuide losing Senor Cole. Wait...did he say $36K? NO WAY.
Not him coming for our queen Betty White
that CVT is BAD and Famous !
Hated Nissan CVT
Garbage CVT , stay away unless you want to have major transmission problems costing 4000
Just like a gay man. Throwing shade left and right. That Betty White shade was serious. 😂😂😂
2014? This is one of the newer Nissan offerings. It's a terrible vehicle. Free bonus, self-destructing transmission.
You people sound like broken record
"cvt"
"jatco"
"trash"
it isn't as bad as you bark they are, nissan cars are more quality than honda lately.

Toyota and Honda are cheaply made and are not worth the money.
Infiniti is even worse. People are suckered into thinking they have to pay more to have quality.
the CVT's are junk
Imagine choosing this over the competition

CVT trash box.
