Fantastic review, I'm sold! I'm a Marshall fan, however, never thought I would like the 8' speaker amplifiers. As untill recently, I had been staying away from 8" and 10" speaker sizes, I've changed my mind now.

Great AMP, shame about that horrible little Speaker. Get the head instead, and a decent 12" Speaker Cabinet. Either that or a good extension Speaker. By the way good review John.😎😎😎
So far, so good considering my son's father in law and my daughter's mother in law have both had it. That'll teach them to go on foreign holidays! Oldies like us have now to self isolate, church is off and the family all have to keep their distance. On the bright side there should be some cracking on line guitar bargains in a month or so. Two of the other grand parents have it, my daughter (a nurse) who lives 50 miles away has it and the lady next door has also come down with it. Still the worst that can happen is I die and go to the Lord.How cool is that!
On the back panel there is a speaker out into which the jack from the built in speaker is plugged. This means that in order to add a second speaker you are disconnecting the existing one! I presume this is to stop us overloading the amp itself. The socket is marked 1 x 16 Ohm.
@@JohnCouplandguitar your video really helped convince me that this should be, at 49, my first all-tube amplifier. I looked at Bugera V5 Infinium, Blackstar HT1, Laney Cub - all of them. I love it that it comes with a footswitch n speaker out. I always thought Marshall was a bit much for me but it's not all just stadium but bedroom friendly, too. So yeah, let me get mine. I think it makes more sense to get the combo since it can be used as a head anyway.
