You shouldnt have taken down the old reviews video. Dont assume that your viewers are stupid and dont know how to check the date of your uploaded videos. Makes u seem kinda shady. And Scuf has been known to shit on their customers too.

AIR BEAR I returned mine because of the problems but I’m actually more excited about the c40 cause I didn’t really like the offset sticks as well I like the c40 can be either or next to each other.
I think you should review the Razer ultimate because I haven’t seen many good reviews for it
Sony could make a fortune if they released an elite controller like the scuff
I don’t think you were bought by Scuf. I think like all of us you desperately want a great controller that does what it’s supposed to and you thought that maybe Scuf did fix the issue. The reason I trust you though is that you would make a video like this.
That first video was what got me on this journey. The second video was promising, but I held off from purchasing because you were still looking into other products and I wanted to see what the community’s experience was. I’m disappointed there isn’t a clear answer, but that’s not your fault. You continue to give us valuable information and I appreciate it.
I think the main thing this all reveals is that it’s time for Sony to step up and make their version of the Xbox Elite controller.
Astro C40TR bromo. Heres hoping they knock it out of the park. They are trying to fill the void we all want so desperately, a real elite competitor for the PS4 . Check it out it looks like the real deal finally. And they are not rushing it out to release, they are doing proper due diligence aswell as proper full scale testing of large quantities of the product before mass production begins so any flaws are ironed out and non existent upon release. March it arrives unless there is any delay but I've spoken to Astro and they assure me this controller is the one we have been waiting for and as far as I can tell from the information available it will do just that.
I got the impact and I love it. Too much money to take a risk on such a new controller.. even the impact had it's kinks when it first came out

I hope it turns out better for you than it did for me. I had mine for 3 months and then it took a shit on me. The R2 button sticks all the time and the left stick is basically just broken. It sticks at times.. wont move at others.. it's just a mess. I paid almost $300 for mine with all the accessories and I definitely didn't get my money's worth.

I did the same. Except I returned it next day. Headset wouldn’t work with it. Re mapping wouldn’t stay when it turned off. Couldn’t play when it was plugged in to charge. It was horrible.
I returned mine too. I got stick drift within 3 days. Update didn't fix anything .
Y'all must be unlucky. Got my vantage last week. Wired version. No issues at all. Using it for wagers and gbs so u know I need a perfect controller. Never had one issue since I got a the updated controller off the shelf.
FableLC right mine has no issues mine is perfectly fine it got me better at Fortnite
Crazy how i preordered this controller an received it and first day i used it i noticed dead spots and it was just unplayable but i didn’t understand how I payed 200 dollars for a remote with this issue , until i saw your review and i truly understood i had a defective controller I appreciate your video because the same day i returned it and thank god i received all my money back

I've realized now after having three different paddle controllers. It's not the paddle controllers necessarily, it's PS4 controllers themselves, they aren't meant to be tampered with. They're weak as well and fragile. You drop them once and they will start drifting or stop sprinting or something. I think the best thing to do is get a dual shock and a strikepack.
My vantage had problems, and after the .8 update it fixed a lot. A week or two later it had serious joystick drift, and a broken outer paddle (you pull them toward your palm but they’re designed to be pushed in like the interior ones) I sent it to scuf a few days ago and they have been polite to me. I understand they have to work out bugs and bad products.
I ordered the first vantage through the preorder and also ordered the mfam scuf vantage. Well with my first one, I experienced all the remapping, dead zone, & Bluetooth issues. I put up with it as long as I could. After the firmware update , those issues went away BUT I got a new issue. My left analog stick was not working properly. My character would be sprinting and then all of a sudden stop or slow down. The issue got so bad that now when I plug in my controller and try to use it, my character slowly jogs backwards. Also, while all this was going on, my right analog stick started drifting by itself. Not too long after, I received my mfam vantage and was so excited to hopefully have one that works properly with everything fixed. I started using it and experienced 0 issues. After only having it for 3 weeks, my right analog stick started doing the same thing as my first scuf. The problem kept getting worse and makes any game completely unplayable. I have been using scuf controllers for a long time and loved my scuf infinity. The vantage really disappointed me and I’m highly considering asking for full refunds.
Want a solid pro controller try a battle beaver. Might take a little while to ship to you once ordered but definitely worth to try
I bought a vantage on Dec 15th, in about a week, the usb cord it came with stopped working properly(had to bend it to ever have it work). I tried using other cables but they all disconnect often, making it extremely annoying. I submitted a ticket and they just told me to use other cables, great. Really annoyed they're sending accessories with a week long lifespan. Just realized I bought my scuf the day this video came out

i like how during Xmas of 2019 they put the vantage on sale now its complete removed as a controller to buy shortly after Corsair buys them out. I had such a terrible time with customer service they refused to accept my return due to not finding an issue. So i just requested the controller back to get out of limbo and be done with them with the off chance that something they did fixed the controller. Ships great but right out of box updated and tested by scuf i am instantly experiencing some kind of lag in the thumbsticks it just doesn't perform for its price point. :(

I honestly doubt Scuf bought you out. I purchased the controller before the firmware update and was very disappointed. I called Scuf and they informed me of the firmware update that was scheduled to be released. I performed the firmware update and found the controller to work flawlessly after without the issues I was having before. Thanks for the honesty.
I ordered the scud vantage after the update and have had it for about 3 weeks. After only 2 weeks I experienced stick drift and freaked out. However it’s not a hard fix, just take off the faceplate and then the thumb sticks and just blow into the sockets where they rest as well as the thumb sticks themselves. It sucks that you have to do it but it’s just because stick drift is usually just a result of dust getting in the thumbsticks and sockets.
Other than that I haven’t experienced any problems thus far
just yesterday i placed my order on a wireless scuf vantage & barely saw this video i hope mine comes perfectly fine
I ordered the scuf vantage in sept estimated delivery said 3-4 weeks and it took almost 3 months! This would bother me if I had received an email letting me know my delivery would be delayed due to back orders on accessories I added. When I called customer service they told me on multiple occasions over a month that the controller would ship by end of weeek or beginning of the following week 3 time this didn’t happen. After finally receiving my controller after 3 days of use my paddle broke on the left side when calling the customer service after waiting 1 extra for my controller I Than would have to wait another month for them to send a replacement paddle which I was not keen on I Than experienced stick drift on my right analog stick downwards along the y-axis when panning left and right along the x-axis which if anyone one plays any shooter your pan left and right constantly this customer service paired with these issues lead me to return the product within 7 days of receiving it. It worked well when I was working however when customer service provides false information along with having to wait to use a controller that I watered months for really ruined my experience with scuf!
I’ve gone through 3 scuf vantages. All three had stick drift within two weeks to a month. Also broke a paddle on one of them. Scuf messed up bad with this one
You should look into the All Controller that’s coming out soon. It’ll work on all consoles and PC, and is fully remappable.
It only has 1 pair of grips, and isn’t really geared towards “pro gaming”, but it’s much more affordable than elite controllers and scuffs.
Honestly the new update is great but my left analog stick is getting analog stick drift slightly annoying but everything else is amazing
Latest Firmware update fixed all the issues, including the insane stick drift. The joysticks are even more responsive now. It took waaay to long but the controler is perfect for me now. Can't play without the Sax buttons now.
I can't even update mines . I bought it brand new and my PC won't pick it up even though it's lighting up when plugged in 😡

im on my 5th SCUF Vantage since November its now February. Luckily i purchased mine from a 3rd party retailer that has a 30-day open box return/replace policy so I have been able to replace mine as problems come along. My problems are no different than everything that has been expressed already. Immediate deadzone and stick drift issues with most of these 5. Every single one has had bluetooth capabilities non-existent. Ive had my controller not hold a charge, ive had stick drift with both left and right sticks are different times and gone thru different remedies recommended my SCUF and others to marginal success. Had problems with disconnected randomly even though Im playing wired. My mic will randomly disconnect but Im intentionally not touching the sound bar. SCUF customer service literally didnt even respond to me on the phone when voices my problems. It's been a huge bummer man when you pay more for your controller than you did for the console. I have more i could voice but too much energy to invest right now lol
Ive been using scuf since mw2 and have used every model both on PS and XBOX and I wouldn't even bother with the vantage, feels bad for scuf man.
I know I'm late to the party, but I bought the vantage the first day it came out. (after the delays lol ). I literally returned it the next day. I could not deal with the dead zones in the controller because I play competitively. I was so hoping that they could bring me back in as a customer. My first scuf I ever had was on Xbox 360 and I loved it. I then got one for my Xbox one and the customer service was unbearable. I didn't get my controller for over a month and I paid for the 48 hour build time.. I was not happy. Then... The controllers's button that the paddle hits broke and as you probably know thats hard to fix. But the customer service was awful. Once I took back my vantage, I ordered my first battle beaver. And it's the best controller I ever had. And I've had a scuf, Sharq, Xbox elite and now finally Battle beaver. I'm going to post my 6month review if you or anyone else wants to check it out. Love the channel and thanks for the honest reviews!

If you guys are worried about warranty buy the Scuf Vantage at GameStop they give you their own warranty problem solved also great remote but it mutes by itself so that’s kinda offy

I’ve always been an Xbox guy which has its problems but I find the Xbox elite to be great. Have never had any issues with it. The problem with the Xbox one that I have found is headset support with Microsoft not supporting audio over usb. The Astro a50s are too expensive and I don’t know what other good quality wireless headsets are left
I use the scuff vantage and have not experienced any issues. No deadzones or any other problems that you mention

I don’t have a vantage, an impact rather. Mine works fine as far as connection and performance goes, but my right trigger stop broke immediately and falls out every time I try and put it back in. I emailed scuf about this and asked if I could have a new trigger stop piece and they told me I needed to pay $50-$100 to have it shipped and repaired. I’ve had it for about 5 months at this point and I expected more in terms of the overall build quality and customer support.

It really sucks that these controllers have been so buggy.. I was so excited to get mine and absolutely loved it for the first couple weeks. Then I got drift in my right stick. That’s putting it lightly.. it pretty much acted as if I was pulling the right thumbstick straight down even though I wasn’t even touching it. It seems that the sticks might have some very bad flaws with them on top of all of the other bugs they are having.
I was gonna get the vantage but I didn’t like the Xbox layout but a streamer I watch(nickmercs) said he prefers the infinity so 220$ dollars later I’m struggling to get used to it but I’m getting there (my fault not the controllers)... the controller works perfect no problems on Latency the only thing is the hair triggers are super sensitive I accidentally fire all the time (again my fault) overall I’d say get the infinity its the way to go..on the vantage the little side buttons are pointless the four on the back are pointless you only need the 2 and it causes button mashing sometimes and if you’re used to PlayStation that Xbox layout is gonna take awhile to get used to you’re gonna be pressing stuff with that left hand all the time cause of it
I bought a scuf vantage 2 2 or 3 months ago. I didn't have any issues until i muted the controller. I came back after letting it sit on my table for a couple hours, i put my headset on. No audio, i tried to unmute the controller, it wouldn't unmute. Im frustrated because this is my first experience with scuf, covid messed up the return process, over a month later with a broken controller im waiting for the RMA to update me to see whether i have to PAY for a broken controller that clearly failed. I babied the controller and always unplugged it and put it back in the box after I finished using it during the day.
I’ve owned pretty much every custom controller out there and the most durable one is the strike pack, everything else has trash durability. V2 paddles are a must for me tho.
It’s a shame that the vantage was a failure. Good concept. It feels nice for big or small hands. But since it’s is scuf we know they are not willing to spend much in material of good quality. Imagine the vantage but made by Astro or razer.
I still like mine. Haven't had any issues with mine since the update. My only real beef that I honestly didn't think I would have an issue with when I bought it but I don't like that I can't use my wired headset. That's on me. It's dumb that people are giving you flack. You never said anything that wasn't true.
pre ordered mine. received in September, had the same problems the update was supposed to fix, and all mine were fixed. however about two weeks later one of my paddles broke after casual gameplay. I messaged scuf immediately. they said that they would mail me replacement paddles free of charge asap. 3 weeks later, I have no word of my replacement paddles being shipped :(
@air bear - Can you please do a review of PS4 DACs? Soundblaster G5, G6, etc.? There is very little info on what DACs work well with consoles, mics, and high end headsets like Seinheiser HD650s, etc.
Got the vantage eight days ago. Did the firmware update right after the unboxing. Everything seemed great for the first few days. Now having random disconnects in both wired and wireless mode. Tried a different cord as per some forums I read with no luck. Also home button doesn’t turn on ps4. Guess not all issues were fixed.
Love the videos, love the aim controller
So I pre-ordered the Vantage. Had the remapping issue right away obviously. After the firmware update more issues kept coming up. The right analog stick would stick to the outer control ring, and there was a spot that had more friction than the rest of the movement area. Then the left analog stick input started always moving left and/or down whenever I moved the left stick. It got to the point where when I was in the PS home screen, the input would move all the way to the far left menu item almost instantly just by slightly moving the stick, like there was some sort of macro pressing left wicked fast. I tried emulating moving that quickly with a standard PS4 controller and it was impossible. I've sent my Vantage back to be fixed or replaced for free, but I have little faith in the future at this point. My concern now is, if this is how short a period these controllers last without needing refurbishing, what will happen when my warranty runs out? I believe Scuff should extend the warranties on all Vantage's, or start the warranty over from the day each consumer receives there refurbished/replaced Vantage. Clearly there are physical design flaws as well as the software issues. And the volume bar function will freeze randomly after muting my mic, which usually happens on accident when I'm trying to adjust the volume.
Vantage 2 aye! So essentially Scuff releases a Vantage that isn’t ready and pretty much in beta mode to the public and charges us $200 for that disastrous experience. I’m guessing the vantage 2 is just what they originally intended the Vantage to be. It was not ready for release the first time you charged us $200. Now you’re affording us the privilege of forking out another $200 for a version that will work out of the box this time. Much appreciated Scuf

Had stick drift after about a month also.. downloaded the scuf app, recalibrated the sticks, drift went away
Most of the time stick drift is caused by dust. My Nintendo Switch’s Joycons gets stick drifts. I just use a compressed air can to blow the shit off the censors. You’d still think for 200 they’d have some dust protection, if it is dust the censor might be not sealed
The disconnects in wired mode seem to be related to the cable. I had frequent disconnects, so I decided to try to charge my tablet with the charger, and nope. Ordered a new cable and haven't had a single issue. I am having significant stick drift to the point where it's nearly unplayable. Especially in a competitive setting. I really want to love this controller, but I may just try to get a refund and get an Impact again.
it's a good controller the only problems I'm having is my left analog stick it keeps sticking like I will be playing any fps or 3rd person shooter and my character will randomly move but when I take it off and move it around it fixes
Just bought the Vantage Avenged edition. It should be here by early next week. I will let you know if any problems still persist. Hopefully it will come preloaded with the latest firmware update. Thanks for your review man!

@@Aceinfinity-le8zc my experience with the vantage so far has been pretty good. No latency, no stick drift, the Sac buttons will have to get used to - if I can't adjust to them I'll just take them off the controller. The one thing I'm having the most adjustment with is the layout of an Xbox controller. And I know true gamers won't have much of an adjustment to that but I've always played with the dualshock, so out of everything that has been said in this video has been fixed. What scuf should've done is made sure this controller was in perfect functionality before promoting the hell of out it. In my humble opinion - it's a great controller, however I would buy the c40 again before I buy another vantage..

For me I had a lot of problems but the update fixed it but the only issue now is it keeps disconnecting when I’m using wired
Bought my vantage from gamestop on December 29th 2018. Had no dead zones no connection issue. After 1 week it started stick drift both sticks. When trying to sprint in COD Blackout it will not sprint. Same with flying.

How do you update the controller? I bought mine a month ago and love it but my left hot stick has been messing up it keeps drifting down and really messes up when I’m playing apex it’s pretty annoying

I tried to use headset when using it wireless and it does not work but other than that it is working fine it is updated to the latest firmware but hopefully they come out with update for this

The dead zone on my vantage is so sensitive on looking down I touch the analog stick it starts to look down and it it’s hard for it to look up
I’ve gotten to the point where this is my first and last scuf never again. I also had an issue were the controller got stuck vibrating

I recently got the scuf vantage, and I've had a few issues. For starters when I start up a game the controller stops responding, so I switch to wireless mode and then switch it back to wired real quick and it works perfectly fine, it also has recently done that twice during gameplay and again I just use the same remedy. And also my trigger stops are fairly loose and sometimes move around on me during gameplay. Other than that I genuinely like the controller it feels good in my hands and I like the layout after getting used to it. It has some drawbacks and its without a doubt not a perfect controller but it's not horrible. I have the Impact as well and right now prefer using my vantage.
I returned mine , I waited for the update but it didn’t let me Update it .... it always stoped when was in 82 % they receive it already but I still haven’t got my money back.
So you featured my comment in your original video. I paid good money for this controller. After the firmware update it was amazing. Perfect. Then. Then the next day the right joystick started to track down. Whether it was on the controller or not. When I requested a downgrade to a impact I was denied. When I asked for a refund I was denied... after 14 days. The gal in the chat brought up my negative reviews on Facebook but was still unwilling to make me happy. So they can track your comments on social media but have zero desire ro make a consumer happy. Now my controller is in their hands. I don't ever expect to see it again. Worst purchase ever worst product of the year.

What a shit show! As soon as dead zone was fixed then comes thumbstick drift. Sent my controller for repair 2 weeks ago and still no word. I sent them an email a couple days ago and they still haven't gotten back to me. 3 months of frustration, first and last time I'm ever buying from scuf. $300 CAD BTW!

My sticks stick still, dead zone issues, my cant play in wired mode because if the controller moves at all it disconnects.
I'm really disappointed with Scufs repair department. After I purchased my first Vantage I returned it, a month later I picked up a brand new Vantage and it had deadzone issues again, sent it back to Scuf and they sent me a refurbished controller and didn't even bother to return the full Vantage box I sent to them, they kept the outer packaging and gave me a dented boxe.. So if i decide to sell it to someone in the future they'll think the product itself is beat up. I've also contacted Scuf in regards to stick drift in the right analog stick while player BF5 when running a deadzone of 0 and it only stops drifting using a deadzone of 8.. My stock DS4 and my Nacon Revolution Pro 2 have absolutely 0 drift using the deadzone setting of 0.. Also tried it in COD and I'm getting drift there too. The controller arrived with the latest firmware, so I ran the updater anyway just to calibrate the sticks again to see if that would stop the drift.. Nope it still happens, so now I have to wait for scuf to accept my RMA again and be out of a controller for a month while they try to fix, or decide to ship another refurbished controller.. I just don't know how their repair department tests their controllers, it feels like they don't test them before shipping them out.. To top it off I also have issues where my control will randomly disconnect while in wired mode, it's not the cable and I made sure it wasn't by purchasing two extra anker usb cables and the problem still happens occasionally. If Astro announced that they were working on a pro controller before I purchased two Vantage controllers, I would have held off and waited for the C40 to release since I've never had issues with Astro products and they offer a full 1 year warranty VS Scufs 6 month warranty.

Spent 230 on an aim controller based on one of your reviews and my critical thinking and I should have tried scuff cause I ended up smashing it, I was so mad. Waited for 2 months to use it cause I moved and couldn’t use it, finally when I did it would come apart I had tall sticks cause for drifting and my thumbs hit the pad consistently on the Sony one, which changes your guns in GTA and just do stupid shit, also connection issues but mostly when it wasn’t charged all the way, which you didn’t even mention .. idk how, and it would squeak so much.. i went out back since I moved into a house with my own backyard to grab the hitch of my xterra and land that sh%t on that aim controller a good 20 times, satisfactory, yes but not for my bank account >:( I hit them up, but it was to review it, since I couldn’t use it for almost 2 months I couldn’t get any sympathy, I think I’m going to grow up. No 5k for a gaming computer and gaming controllers are a joke, beyond the controllers ability it is just no match over a mouse and a key board.

Returned my vantage after all the bugs before the update came out. I was able to return it after the 14days for full refund and there customer service was exceptional

Is anyone else having the issue where the controller works in Bluetooth mode perfectly fine but when I switch it to wired the light bar just flashes white and nothing happens when I hit the PS button
So I really want to get some type of gaming controller and the vantage seems like the one I wanna get but I’m not sure if it’s worth it or not

Has anyone had problems with a sticky analog stick on the scuff impact. I have tried switching the analogs but it doesn’t help. Also, do you think I should try to buy new rings and analogs or nah? Pushing the analog down doesn’t help the stickiness either. I know this isn’t an impact video but it’s usually better to comment on newer videos to get replies/help. Thanks all!
There's no reason for there to be any issues when it's backed by Sony. They should be tested properly and and work as a stock PS4 controller does at launch. I've taken a good look at and inquired further to Astro regarding their new CR40TR that drops in March. That thing looks bulletproof literally. A better idea and it's not new technology to make a controller work out if the box for 300$ Canadian, that's insane.
Dude stop worrying about trolls, they are always gonna criticize other’s success. I bought the scuff vantage a month ago, updated to 0.8 and it works flawlessly. Is it worth $200 probably not but it’s the best PS4 controller out there. Good reviews man!

UPDATE: I just learned there is another firmware update (1.1) I just installed it and it looks like the thumbstick issues are resolved. I still don't understand why I wasn't contacted- I registered the device!!!
I purchased my Scuf Vantage over the 2018 holiday (November I think). It initially worked for about 2 weeks, then the L thumbstick had active drift in the forward direction, making it IMPOSSIBLE to play an FPS. A few days later the Left Paddle snapped in two. It was then that I learned of the firmware update. I tried doing it at home as instructed, but the firmware didn't upload. SCUF paid for the shipping to have the controller sent in so they could update the firmware on their own.
I was pleased that when it came back tney had replaced the broken paddle as well. All seemed good.
For about a month and a half. Then the controller started disconnecting randomly, after some troubleshooting I discovered that the CORD for the scuf was the problem something had broken at the connector to the plug. Then the L paddle broke AGAIN.
I reached out to SCUF and they sent me a replacement cord as well as another packet of plastic paddles (who honestly thought that toothpick plastic paddles was the way to go? Flimsy and badly engineered. Still, I was happy that the replacement cord appeared to be working and I had all 4 paddles again.
So now it's early March and finally my SCUF is now "ready to play":
1) Firmware is updated.
2) Paddle #4 (leftmost paddle) is replaced.
3) Defective cord is replaced.
4) Paddle #4 is replaced again.
"Great!" I think to myself. "Let's boot up and finally enjoy a gaming session."
NOPE.
I can no longer sprint (L3 click) reliably, or when it does work, it shortly drops out of sprint mode. :-(
The forward movement is noticeably weak. I can now move faster walking BACKWARDS than FORWARDS. >:-(
There is a dead zone in the 2 o'clock position on the L stick.
I contact SCUF again. As the warranty is for 6 months, I am still covered. YAY! But I need the original receipt. I tell them, I don't have the original receipt, but I placed it on my VISA card and the record of the purchase is clearly on my bill.
Nope, not good enough. GLHF they say. I'm SOL.
Tonight I'm going online to see if I can dispute the purchase due to it being a faulty product.
You should do a review on the astro controller when it comes out.
