Thanks !! Your video starts me directly on the right way...no need for me to dismount the tyre... access from below with the 19 key, it was done very quickly... little bit hard to put the new one...you need to turn with the 19 to make the belt taking her final place with one total turn because it is hard to put the belt totaly in the place for :-) !

I don't understand removing the wheel. I just did this job in 5 minutes with an open end craftman wrench. It was a breeze. The only thing that may make it difficult is if you have large hands. Otherwise there is no need to take the wheel off or buy specialty tools

I just did my belt and my experience was exactly the same.as yours. I was prepared to have to lift the fit, take the wheel off, and loosen up the two alternator bolts, etc. Ended up having to do none of that... simple job all through the engine bay with a 19 and two zip ties

Just FYI you should use a 448 according to manufacturer, not a 450... a 450 is slight bit too long.

What's funny is that I have watched 4 different videos on replacing this Belt on FIT and all the people say the same thing: It's hard to get it on. Wish Honda would make it easier.

I saw other videos, and then other ones said I have to loose the alternator that has 2 bolts. This is different. Somebody knows why? 🤔

The tensioner/idler unit has a minimum and maximum limit of travel indicated on it. The alternator features an adjustment nut (usable after loosening the other nut first). This would be necessary if the tensioner is not within the range of its spec. limits. The chances are that with the wear on the old belt you were nearly out of limit anyway, and simply by putting on a new belt of the correct size you'll be right as rain. But yeah, a pro should check and verify, but the temptation to save two minutes is.... tempting.

You DO NOT need to loosn the alternator belt total nonsense. To make the job easier 1. put a jack and plank of wood under engine 2. remove the passenger side to motor mount it takes about two minutes, five bots. With that out of the way you have lots of room to get at the tension with a long wrench and the belt comes out in 30 seconds. Always do the tensioner at the same time. Doing the job this way makes it a 30 minute job maximum, especially of you have a hoist but ramps will work fine.
