bro so i did mine recently and i noticed that there is a hole on the tensioner pulley that you can stick something in it like an allen wrench and it holds it open in place. so when you pull on the pulley to fully loosen the tension you stick something in the hole and it holds it. it helped so much.

It's a lot easier to just pull up on some 2x4s instead of the full ramps because you can actually jack the car up high enough to get the wheels to lift off of them. This also means you don't have to use your jacks at full extension so they will be much more stable and safe.

You can also jack it up without ramps If your jack is low enough. Roll in behind the front tires

I’m looking to replace the belt on my 2016 this weekend. I’m glad I stumbled upon this video. It doesn’t look difficult at all. Thanks for posting this.

I'll give you $50 to do mine - got all the things and tools but the floor jack
pro tip: if its a sunny day put new belt in the sun or on dashboard as the heat helps it expand a bit making getting it on easier. might be able to throw it in oven at super low heat (sub 200) for a few minutes, not my first choice. hairdryer or laundry dryer might also work
i just now looked at my belt, it seems the left half is missing.. replacing belt has been on my list for a time now, guess that time is tomorrow .. i suspect reason its in that state is my car recently discovered a ladder someone was storing on interstate, i didnt think the piece that went into through my bumper made contact with engine i now suspect that is incorrect

I have a 2018 Fit with 63k and the belt groves are all squared. I am looking to replace the original Honda belt with a better quality belt. Does anyone have experience with other belt brands?

He shows the part number at 3:51. Dayco 5060433 6PK1100S. But you should check for what part number fits your specific model with a clerk at whatever store you get the belt

0:58 Your disc brake screw came out. Happened to my 2012 Fit as well but the screw was trapped between the rim and brake. I put blue loctite and a peice of packaging tape over the screw head, they tend to come loose and fall off.

They are not necessary. Only there to help hold the rotor in place to seat the caliper easily. Here in the rust belt, its common they rust so bad and sieze up. Most shops are forced to remove these by force at that point. Keep them off i say
