Yep. That was a super dope remix. Mariah had a whole remix album full of amazing B-sides. JD is one of the remix kings along with R. Kelly and Diddy. Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam, the writers and producers here, were originally band members of The Time with Morris Day. They later went on to write and produce almost all of Janet Jackson's hits. They also produced "Human" for The Human League as well as "Saturday Love" and "Never Knew Love Like This" for Alexander O'Neal and Cherrelle. I believe this is one of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis' first productions. I think this is the project that got them fired from The Time when they missed a flight and missed a performance. I think Prince did them a favor by doing that. It was the beginning of a bright and lucrative future for them.

I’m so glad I found this album on vinyl at Goodwill 15-16 years ago. With the blimp and everything. The cover’s messed up and torn tf up but the record is pretty solid and it’s still one of my cherished records to this day.

Oh my goodness I was looking for some songs from SOS band and I came across your channel. To see you react to songs that I was listening to in junior high and high School is truly classic! I have always loved the songs from the late 70s through the mid 80s. But the SOS band there is nobody and I do mean nobody who can talk any of their music! And that's because Jimmy jam and Terry Lewis were their producers. If you don't know who they are look up music from The Time Morris Day. Jimmy jam and Terry Lewis also produced a lot of songs for Janet Jackson, Cheryl, Alexander O'Neal and others. They have a classic sound that you can always pick up no matter who's doing their music. I don't know who gave you the idea to do this type of channel but please keep up the good work. I love it 😘
