Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

This figure is UNREAL. I love when they do the eyes like Todd Mcfarlane. In my opinion NO one has drawn or did Spiderman Better. That whole Run when Venom was introduced was epic.

They’re Bagley eyes. Though I still think this would be a good stand in for a Mcfarlane Spiderman.

It's such a perfect Bagley version, that I was hoping you'd pose them with Venom and Carnage in that classic cover/poster pose, and you did not disappoint! It was the first image that came to my mind when those figures were side-by-side.
Now, if they could just do a Romita Spider-Man in that style, that would be swell.

It's definetly more of a Bagley figure since he always drew a sticky nose in the profile. Plus the eyes
Lucian Ganea Bagley art sucks now. He was a master of Spider-Man back in the late 90’s and early 2000. He was still good with ultimate spider man, but after that he lost his touch on drawing and he made tons of anatomy mistakes.
@@linalool3182 Yeah, I noticed that as well. In his new drawings, it looks like he forgot that 616 Spidey is much bigger than Ultimate. And he got lazy with Venom, too much Ultimate in it, and lacks consistency with his eyes, teeth and spider logo. He probably drew so many Ultimate comics and got used to a skinnier Spidey and that Venom's design. It makes me sad because I absolutely loved how they looked in the 90s, but he's old and probably got tired of drawing the same character for over 30 years. But his 90s-00s artstyle will forever be in my heart
I thought the same thing. Mark Bagley is my favorite Spider-Man artist, so to have a figure based off his art is just awesome.

@connextro No there's not,beats marvel legends by a mile the s.h figuarts one,the Mezco one,and the MacFarlane one,so Yes it's the best all the way around.

@connextro I wouldn't say that. The Toybiz movie figs are good but they have the usual Toybiz problems of bad joints and weird proportions.
I think the perfect McFarlane head sculpt should have longer (height-wise) eyes and I think the lenses should be steeper from the top like a more angry look.

This figure looks great. Honestly this is one of the few figures I’m really anticipating. I got over 35 things on pre-order and yet I feel overwhelmed and jaded. Due to my diminishing space, need to save up for medical stuff and I need to rearrange stuff.

I love this figure! The sculpt is great, and the paint is really impressive (especially on the blue sections of the suit!) I definitely want to pick this up.

i got this figure off ebay almost a few weeks ago its really good although the person i bought it from didnt seem to package it very well and it was international and basically got smushed and was super hot so the joints became kind of loose and the shoulder joint sort of warped in the heat so that it doesnt stay in without falling out unless you maneuver it just right :( But i guess thats the way life can be sometimes. Its still a great figure and despite all that i can still pose it pretty much however i want and its awesome its probably my favorite figure i have so far (i just started collecting again and i'm trying to build up a basic avengers setup right now, not trying to get too deep until i move out) and every time i look at it i feel good :) Pretty epic if i do say so myself. I also want to get more into the comics once im finished with my MCU marathon. I'll probably start at the beginning and go through the reading order on the marvel wiki which will take a REALLY long time probably lol.

I just bought this figure, and it is beautiful. So glad you do all of these reviews, as they helped me choose the best Spider-Man figure that I could get lol.
I think that webbing would look amazing with a grey wash to be more like McFarlane since it has a sculpt in that style for the web accessories. also it would be perfect if they gave us a McFarlane headsculpt since they went as far as doing two artists already and this is 80-90 bucks so we could use some more value with that extra head for the price we have to pay as collectors. Amazing review!!! Can't wait to pick him up!!

I’m gonna order him soon. I wasn’t sure about this figure, but after watching some reviews (including this one, obviously) I see that it’s an AMAZING figure. Spider-Man is my favorite marvel hero and this is just the perfect Spider-Man. It’s an AMAZING, SPECTACULAR Spider-Man (hehe. Get it?)
I got this cost me about 200 and the joints were really loose the pair job was terrible especially for the face
When the spiderman was spinning around, I didnt even notice he had webbing coming off his hand. It blended with the background perfectly

Hey bro! Some other reviewers have noticed that the colors are a bit darker that the promotional photos, and some are disappointed about it. It sure looks awesome though. Great reviews!!

A cool head sculpt idea:
A battle damage head where the lenses are busted and cracked, and maybe some hair poking out and mouth exposed.
This looks to be the very best that no one else ever was. To buy him is my real quest, to pose him is my cause.
I love Channels like yours, you guys help me think about toys that I should buy. Without channels like you guys, I wouldn't even know what these companies would even be! I also owe it to you because I would so many badly looking, horrible articulation, and just overall badly made toys. I really thank you guys for this. Have a great month and wear green!
The tiny tiny hands and unmasked head bummed me out but the fragile-looking joints and the fact the legs would fall off when posing made me sell it less than a week after buying it. The diaper look people mentioned elsewhere didn't bother me though.
It does have very good articulations though and if you're just going to do a crazy pose and leave it alone you'll be very happy with it.
Oh and the mask is supposed to be sort of jammed into the web-swinging hand. It works much better that way :)

And, also does Marvel Legends Spider-Man action figures has more tighter joints than Mafex (Medicom) Spider-Man action figures? Just asking for a preference. I'm terrifyingly scared to buy this figure. Even though, it's already sold out.

the normal head eyes are mark bagley the squint one is campbell......how can any comic book fan even think this was mcfarlane style ? if they said eric larsen wich is similar to mark bagley eyes, sure fine..

I'm waiting for mine to come. You could use blu tack to plug it on a broken tamashii stand peg. I mean, if you have a broken one you could cut the peg part and stick it wherever you want and use that spider web for photo shooting.

if you look close there are tiny little spikes but are painted red a little making it look like its not a mcfarlane head sculpt but come to conclusion of some pictures at bbts and google,this actually is a mcfarlane head sculpt

thank you for the side by side comparison with Iron Man. i think it does work. i've been looking at size charts and spidey is around Iron man's ear level. also loved the carnage and venom picture at the end

This is such a good figure in literally every single department, so I got it. There is one issue though quality control, it broke on the 2ND DAY of posing it, not including that the right arm joint keeps popping off, the little stick that keeps on the hand(sorry I do not know the name of it) broke off after trying to move it. An unfortunate waste of nearly 100 dollars, hopefully the spider verse spidey is better with quality control they are making it extremely hard for me to resist.

Totally failed to pay for my preorder over at amiami and now its gone from my grasp. Maybe forever. Unless Mafex reissues him (crossing my fingers!). As of now my Mafex Homecoming Spidey is my fave!! I love the size, sculpting and texture on him...with obviously the standard Mafex articulation! :). Awesome review as always!! Woooooo!!!
The legends Parker head sculpt looks more like a Miguel than Peter next to the Mafex 😅
