I am new to the hobby and learning alot from your videos, i have never done hard coral of any type but always wanted to learn, my tank isnt 6 months old yet so all i am doing is research at this point, but you mentioned you added uncycled dry rock to your tank, did this cause it to recycle? i realize there wouldnt be any die off on dry rock but curious if it does cause the tank to recycle as i would love to add more rock to mine but dont want to harm what is already in there.... thanks in advance and keep up the videos!

They should instructions on their site and if you have one, it should have came with instructions too. Mine is from 10 years ago and they have changed, so i dont think it will help.
haha when your frag/grow-out tank is better than 99% of the display tanks out there. also, i’m curious if you use a mesh screen to prevent jumpers. i always wonder how open top reefers keep their fish inside the tank lol cause i have the worst luck.
Have you ever tried Vibrant? After 2 months of use, you can see the difference- been using for 4 months now. I no longer have Dinos or cyano or hair algae (used hydrogen peroxide to burn the algae for three weeks while doing the water change). Nothing but purple coraline and some green algae on the glass. Vibrant is defianatrl not snake oil but does take time to work. Now all I need is a product to kill vermetid snails.

I wouldn't do water changes but if the glass had algae on it, I wouldn't scrape it off.

the rocks were soaked in muriatic acid, so there was minimal die-off

I don't really believe in additives to take care of problems like that. To me, cyano is a problem of excess
