- I want to show you a really cool place here in Costa Rica. This is the Kids Saving the Rainforest wildlife sanctuary and rescue center.
Located outside the popular tourism area of Manuel Antonio, this facility is dedicated to saving and rehabilitating native wildlife.
The animals at this sanctuary each have their own story, coming from a variety of incidents that brought them here. This would include electrocution by power line, getting hit by road traffic, being rescued from households that kept them captive, and even animal testing.
At this site there’s a clinic that operates on injured animals, a nursery center bringing life to young orphans, a rehabilitation center, as well as a sanctuary for those unable to be survive again in the wild.
Let's go on a behind-the-scenes tour of this special place and learn about the animal rescues currently living there. If we're lucky, we'll be able to see some cute baby animals up-close in their nursery.
