Hi Jason, I am just starting to watch this. Very excited to see how your team supports you. Wonder if you would be interested in attempting the Barkley Marathons. You certainly have the mental fortitude.
First of all, thank you! As far as the Barkley goes, I think you have to qualify or receive an invite, and I wouldn’t stand a chance against some of the world’s greatest ultra runners. The longer and more drawn out the event is the better chance I have…I’m terrible at the shorter distances. Not sure what the future holds at this point…definitely still need to complete a 100 miler at some point. Thanks for watching!
My crew was amazing…Could have never accomplished what I did without them! It has been such a fun edit with all the different video footage from the crew. The only thing that could have made it better would have been having one more crew member dedicated to flying a drone 😁. Thanks AJ!
Hey Jason! Another awesome video. I did end up purchasing the Altra Olympus 5 MID GTX. Massive game changer! I’m notorious for foot pain after about 7 miles of hiking. I hiked 7 miles straight out of the box and my feet felt absolutely great. You were instrumental to introducing me to Altra products through watching your channel. Thanks again buddy.😊
Thanks Donald, I appreciate that! so glad to hear that the Altra shoes worked out for you, I still love my Olympus fours, but when they wear out, I will be trying the fives or sixes if they’re out by then.
@@jasonwish- Off the San Jacinto and on to Florida. I’m gonna kayak and camp on the Peace river. Then try to get some Snook fishing in , out towards Boca Grand. Keep up the good work. I’m fresh out of a 3 day respite in a hotel. I’m ready to get my Nomad on!
Great first episode Jason! It went quick. Love the back and forth with the crew. Ya know this is alot like a professional sport in that you train and train and practice and then one little injury or misstep can bring it all crashing down. Saw those pickle chips, RM Sister eats those all the time. Ya even I am recognizing parts of the trail from your previous videos. I always watch from start to finish so it takes me a while to find time to watch. Looking forward to finding the time to watch Part 2!
It was a bit overwhelming trying to edit together 5 different cameras being used that's for sure! Love me some good pickle chips...the salt in them saved my attempt on the Susquehannock trail in PA several years ago...before I knew the importance of salt ha! So many ups and downs through out the week...a roller coaster ride each day! Cloud nine one minute and in a dark low the next! Thanks for the watch time brother!
Hey Jason! Me and my wife love the content. Thanks for that. Random question…. Do you or anybody you know have and good deer hunting land I could hunt or lease for bow hunting only around your area. We live in NC and are looking to find some land to hunt in Ohio. Thanks for any leads or help!!
Thank you so much, so glad you guys enjoy them! Unfortunately, I can't help you on the deer hunting land. We currently have one other guy leasing one of our woods and my son hunts the entire farm for his full time youtube channel on hunting. We love the NC mountains and normally travel there every year to explore new areas...beautiful state!
Jason, you have a wonderful life ahead of you. I admit, I will miss your hiking vids but still have enjoy your farming spots, and look forward to your future traveling videos. Bless you and keep going.
I’ll bet it was nice having other people shoot your run by and walk by videos instead of you having to spend all of that extra time going back and forth setting up and going back for your camera
Absolutely! In addition to my GoPro that I carried, the guys used their cell phones and my good camera in the truck. It makes for a ton of footage to sort through but I love doing it!
An epic start to this wild journey! Can’t wait to see the story unfold on this FKT.
Thanks Samuel! I'm having so much fun putting this one together, glad you enjoyed it brother!
You probably have the FKT for your last day on the Little Miami River a few years back.
Lol, quite possible!

It certaily is beautiful and Twin Knobs is my go to spot for camping each year before the Big Turtle Utra race in April!
Gorgeous storytelling my friend, this was such a enjoyable and atmospheric upload!
Thank you! I love editing these and I’m trying to get better at telling the story in an interesting way…glad you enjoyed it!

Oh don’t worry, many years of hiking and backpacking vids still ahead, just no more speed attempts on the Sheltowee. Happy thanksgiving!
I always love the positive and enthusiastic attitude you have at the beginning of your FKT attempts. Your quite the inspiration
Thanks Jeff! It’s pretty easy to be positive in the beginning but when the hardships and struggles come being positive is certainly put to the test.
