- Finnegan & BLASPHEMI Survived Drag Week 2018! Completing Hot Rod’s “Drag Week” is not a task for the faint of heart, but fortunately many people know the RoadKill star Mike Finnegan & his 1955 Chevy Bel-Air (better known as BLASPHEMI) are at no shortage of heart! Following up a catastrophic failure from Drag Week 2017, Finnegan & BLASPHEMI are back with more determination than ever, and thankfully so as this year turned out to be one of the most challenging weeks ever. Starting at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce,GA, driving almost 1,000 miles through the Carolinas, up to Tennessee, and back to Atlanta was this years grueling test of street car capabilities through severe weather & mountain curves! Not only did Finnegan complete his first ever Drag Week, but he pulled off his FIRST 8 second pass, concluding one insane week into a crazy rewarding experience!

Blasphemi is so violent yet majestic. Its extremely visually pleasing to watch that thing launch and eat its way down the track.

I met Mike in Detroit at Roadkill Nights. He is exactly the same in person as he is on Roadkill , super easy to talk to. Great guy.

I too am inspired by Two Lane Blacktop. I had a 55 Chevy given to me at 16 but had no place to keep it. Finnegan comes along and inspires me again. I'm 59 years old and I WILL have a gasser before I die. A Pontiac powered one at that.
I know this is old stuff, but 1320 ROCKS! Finnegan is one of the top personalities on the NET , imo. The camaraderie that is displayed during Drag Week is impressive. Kudos to Freiburger for starting this. Some of the best gear head entertainment ever.
The last race being between 2 gassers was a nice touch.

When I saw the drag week episode I was bummed and thought he was being a bit short with 1320 which was a disappointment to me. Looks like you just saved all the good footage for this, well done

The other Gasser that won overall is ridiculous to be able to go that fast and be reliable 2 years in a row

I grew up I guess you could say idolizing finnegan first seeing and reading his articles in mini truckin all of them gods to most of us. Yet they where just one of us at the shows that everyone of us just went through are own episode of roadkill to get there and hang out with all of them. To watch what they have done and keep doing for car culture blows my mind couldn’t of picked a better guy to be one of the representatives for us as a whole.
Don’t let this get to his head he needs to get back in that garage and work on that c10 we mini truckin finnegan back again
