It sounds like she was faithful and respectful to her boyfriends. They got what they wanted until they didn't want it anymore, and chose to move on. So it's not like she was 'playing' or scamming them. Good for her.

@wallydee8398 she only said that about the first guy. Did he love her? 🤷‍♂️ the "endgame" was Mike's framing, not her words, as far as we know. In any case, he also indicated that the guys had equally practical considerations - building a retirement house they could never afford in US on land they could never buy as a foreigner, and never pay rent again, while being with a hot, young woman. They were just wrong about the reality not making them as happy as they fantasized.

Nah, she bears some responsibility ... she could've maintained her body a bit better. Plus, she could've given more attention to Her Man, as opposed to her children, and her extended family (who were constantly knocking on the door, seeking money)

At 34, divorced, ex got everything plus controlled time with my daughter. I had an air mattress, few pots and ate noodles for a bit. This all happened in my anesthesiology residency. Fortunately, I have a good relationship with my daughter and son in law, and I’m a new g pa. Today, I have no desire to get involved with another Western woman. I don’t even want to waste time dating them. US women are way too masculine these days, and a big turn off.

@@RickMerryman-o7j You’ve been through a tough journey, and it’s clear you've got real strength. Going from rock bottom during your residency to building a good relationship with your daughter and now being a grandfather is huge. Not everyone gets through that kind of hardship with family ties still strong.
It's totally understandable that you’re not interested in dating or dealing with certain dynamics anymore, after what you’ve been through, you’ve earned the right to be picky about where you put your energy. You’ve built yourself back up before, and now you can focus on whatever really matters to you, whether it’s your family, your career, or just enjoying life on your terms.
You’ve already proven you can handle the hardest parts of life, and there’s no need to rush into anything you don’t feel is worth your time. Take pride in what you’ve accomplished and keep building a life that makes you feel fulfilled.

@mikesphilippineretirement I will definitely agree that divorce is definitely slotted against the men here in the U.S. Yet the women want to be considered equal for all reasons. I am almost finished with my divorce, and it couldn't happen faster. Never again will I marry or date an American woman. As the Italian people say Forget About It. Asian women are more about family and secure relationships. Most really want an honest man. Since I have been duped here, I have turned and found a woman that I may consider to be the last and forever partner. I have to rebuild my trust and confidence again.

What makes a man with one or more failed relationships with women from his own country and culture think it will all change miraculously by going across the world meeting a girl half his age or younger and he behaving exactly as he has all along? Yes, many men have 'peso-nality' and are a means to an end but not all. I don't blame the women for wanting a way out; caveat emptor after all.

And for context, our electric last month was $33, using the air con every night and some during the day, water was $5. Our very fast WiFi is $15. She shops at our local street market, 1/2 a block away, spends between $5-$15 a day. When she spends $15, that will last a couple of days. Always enjoy your videos, greetings from Phnom Penh

My ex-Filipina wife was not faithful to me, but she also has the house that I built in the Philippines. It was completely finished, except for the upstairs, which was a very big master bedroom, dressing, bathroom and balcony. She now married another foreigner and he probably finished that too. So whatever happens to her and her second husband: she now has a beautiful house that didn't cost her one hollow block. It's not how faithful they are to their partners, it's how well they play the game!

@@mikesphilippineretirement Hey Mike, I left my (realistic living expense) comment basically to let guys know that read it, it is possible. Of course, I didn’t mention my income, but I retired from UPS of 35 years with a LARGE lifetime pension. Plus my TH-cam channel has 94,000 subscribers and well over 25 million total views, which most months earns me equal to and sometimes more money than my UPS pension. Not bragging, just stating I’m doing so well money doesn’t matter.
Believe it or not, there are a few guys who live here in Solinea Towers where I stay who have no interest in having a girlfriend or traveling. Both have a lifetime pension around $3000 a month coming in. They’ve been here two and three years and says women are nothing but a headache. Personally, I think they’re just picking the wrong women, but they’re always by themselves and they’re content with it. They also said they hate traveling so they’re fine with just existing. They each have a Filipina they call every once in a while and pay her 1K pesos to come by and, well you know the rest.
I have a cousin who is 63 years old who is barely making it in the United States on a $1200 a month pension. And we already know there are a lot of men in the USA in the same financial predicament. He’s planning to move here middle of next year. He’s been asking me if my expenses have changed so he can monitor my lifestyle. After I showed him a video of Solinea Towers with a large swimming pool, workout gym and right down the street from the mall, he was sold. He also has no interest in dating a steady girlfriend or traveling. Some of these guys are just not adventurous. So I posted my original comment to state that a person can live off $1000 a month here without a girlfriend or traveling, if a guy is OK with that. And of course they could move to a cheaper place more towards the province area.
Personally, if I was a guy who only had $1000 - $1200 a month coming in living in the USA facing becoming homeless, I’d rather move here and have no girlfriend and not travel. Better than becoming homeless. And like my cousin told me when I asked him about a female companion, “ I could care less about the company of a woman, but if I need temporary female companion, that’s what bar girls are for“. He’s got a point Lol…. Love your videos.

    You call that an accomplishment?
I am a Malaysian..female. The first thing we think about after education is..Work!! Not find a Foreigner to marry.
I had a job at 18 and was a single mom at 20 to a son... raised by his paternal grandparents. With my first job, i qualified to get a loan for a small used Car. In the span of 10 years..i had upgraded my car 2 times to a better model and age. I was renting a room though..working in the city. But i wanted a better lifestyle. Working a 9 to 5 job with a fixed income was NOT going to get me there. So i quit and got a job in Sales. O..mannn..my income skyrocketted working on commission. By age 29, i was driving a brand new BMW..and a brand new house. And went on to stock investments to buying lands.
That's the difference between Filipino women and Malaysian women.

Mike, thanks for sharing all your experiences, they are invaluable, I add them to my kit bag, and they have helped me on my travels to the Philippines. I am glad and happy for Mary that she got the rewards of the long game. She absolutely deserves it. Amazing how she remained faithful after she was treated so badly by all of those guys. I have visited the Philippines multiple times and met many girls, with the end state of moving there and it is unbelievable the temptation that surrounds a guy there every day. I have met many girls in Philippines on many of my travels there, never ever online, that is how trouble begins. Definitely, it is important guys clear the fog of lust and look for a sounding board, before committing into a relationship with a Fillipina.

Sounds like everyone got what they wanted in this story. It can be a tough game for a foreigner here. It’s by no means easy. I’ve been with my gf for 7 years and we have a daughter. My gf is living a life that most all province Filipinas dream about. I have a beautiful daughter and support her 100 percent. So I’m winning in the games as well. Plus, I love my gf very much. She’s the best. I could build a nice house anytime and anywhere here I want, but I’m in no hurry. The situation has to be perfect. I don’t get any pushiness from my gf at all. She’s happy with what she’s getting now and will be super happy once I move more forward with my plan.
Every woman here has every right to play the long game and so does the man. As long as there’s no bad intentions from either person.

I like Mary. She didn't cheated, scam, or deceived anybody. Everybody got what they wanted. The old guys had their fun. Mary used the money wisely by investing it into the house so that she and her kids will have a house to live on even if the old guys change their minds or leave her one day. She just used her brain and had a long term mind set. She is not like most girls. Most girls these days go for the easy and quick wins. Most girls would go for a young and handsome boy. She would get pregnant but the young handsome boy is broke and he still wants to have sex with more young pretty girls and he doesn't want his saga to end there so he will abandon her. She will now become a single mom. Mary is different, she used her youth to choose a man that can provide for her. Started investing in a house. When the first guy left, she met another guy and continued building the house. If the first guy didn't left, I can see that they would still be together with the house completed. Its not like she used the money for fun, do bad stuff, or other selfish things, it was money well spent for her and her kids so that they will have a simple roof over their head.

Had only 1 marriage then divorce, child support, had to sell "Our" house, left with shirt on my back and rented a house room and just kept busy working then within a year bought #2 house as a fixer upper, kept a bedroom for my child's visits until I was forced to accept company relocation out of state then enduring years of mult-states temporary transfers, before buying #3 house another fixer upper and invited my Son who got married at 18 and his wife now having tough living conditions, of course while helping them move out of state, found out she was pregnant, all I could say ok now its plan C ! I became a Single-grandpa and Dad for both during this period, and my past ladies used to say I was selfish because I did not want to get married, some within a month of dating, did not live full time with any, weekend only either my or their place. I always said I was married with my company we had a love/hate relationship but they gave me a paycheck and pension. Later I moved back to my home state got house #4, so three of the 4 houses I had it was titled as Sole Baron ! Oh since property tax and home insurance is ridiculous high and the local western women are too expensive to maintain or even date, maybe by next year Jerry in PI will also leave and Mary will be available, so here comes Bob, like General Douglas MacArthur once said I shall return, so can I, except without the uniform, its been only 50 years ago.

I don't see any problems with Mary's strategy. She was loyal to the guys. They got what they were after and so did she. Not her fault if the first two bailed on her, even if it was done honourably.
We never truly know if the one we love loves us back. All we have is faith they do.

Sounds pretty good! But, does the kids dad know another man is living there, or is she keeping it a secret, to get support? If she isn’t, it is pretty sweet deal for her…

Saying Mary is playing chess, is saying she was playing these men (which she wasn't). Mary has had relationships, which unfortunately ended early (of no fault of hers), and things worked out for her, where most generally they wouldn't have. Let's just say the universe had Mary's back, during troubled times. This happens when you're a good person, and it sounds like Mary was.

I disagree in a way as I think she knew what she wanted and as long as they are together she was going to keep moving forward with her goals and dreams. She did not play anyone but did keep moving the players to go forward and keep her dreams alive

This is why, when you meet someone and fall in love with them, you shouldn't stay in their home country. Their legal system and financial system is set up to benefit them, the citizen of that country, while leaving you high and dry, out in the cold. If you marry her in her home country, make it plain and simple before you tie the knot that it is your intention to go and live some place else. Even better, move there and marry her there instead. It doesn't have to be your home country either. Move to a separate country that neither of you have connections to. This is what I did. I did live in her home country of Brazil for 2 years, just to get citizenship there. But once I received that, we were off (I had already purchased a place before we got married). Now we're living our dream life together. If she likes hot weather, pick a country where it's hot. If she likes something about her home country, pick a country that has that "one thing" she likes. But never EVER do you stay in her home country.

She must have been a good lady, if the guys that came into her live left amicably. Nobody van blame her for anything that the gained! Good for her and her kids! I’d probably do the same! 🤷‍♂️

Hay milke, when is the best and cheapest time to vacation there. I'm looking to visit before I retire to check it out. And where would a good place to rent for 2 week while I'm there. Would love to stay longer but still working. Looking to retire early in 6 years at age 62. Any help would be great.
