Awesome.I've heard TM Krishna singing the same in some concert. But the moods are entirely different. Both renditions are beautiful.
Jai sri ram
Jai sri ram
Jai jai sri ram
The harmonium usually doesn't work for Carnatic but in this piece it blends beautifully and enhances it. I must admit I like this better than TMK's version.
just curious for the sake of understanding and learning, are you more familiar to hindustani style of music vs carnatic? Me and my friends listened to both the versions, and those who were familiar to hindustani style liked this more vs TMK's....
@@sunny005ism Carnatic. Haven't been able to appreciate Hindustani yet
Sorry but tm Krishnas is actually much better
@@raghavasai9779 ya in criticism and politics
Old Carnatic music had harmonium as its main accompaniment man! It had tabla.. even had dholak!
A professional product of tm Krishna! Thanks Vignesh for great rendition... Listening n th time
The song just doesn't leave your mind .......amazing performance
Yes
🙏 தித்திக்கும் தேனூறும் ஒலிவளம்

Am obsessed by this song today. Would have heard around 40 times already! Superb! :)
It is definitely one of those songs that can be put on repeat for a long time
Well done, Vignesh!!!
Soulful singing!!
Kaapi, one of my most favorite ragams!!
Vignesh, Your singing is terrific. Thank you.

How does this song have only 31k views? Stunning rendition of Kapi
Fantastic singing and great voice snd feel ! Only Kanjira and Harmonium ( unusual) !
Thannai maraunthum .... aha aha. The build up of the raga thru the preceding lines and ending with 'thanni maranthum' hits the heart like an arrow. The beauty is one does not want to get out of the pain and wants to enjoy...
One of the well composed kapi and thanks to all involved
.
EPIC! So much power in the voice!
Omg! Absolutely divine... standing ovation anytime I hear this rendition 👏🏼👏🏼 shows absolute brilliance of the singer and composer to bring so many shades of kaapi. Loved the Hindustani style adopted here, compared to TMK sirs Carnatic rendition of the same song.
Flowing with kappi ❤️
SIMPLY GREAT!
3:00 to 3:25 heavenly literally

Superb rendering
Excellent!
No words to express !!!! Tears welled up 👌👌👌
Oh my God, then please listen to TM Krishna's version (who is his guru by the way), the emotion is muuuuch stronger and deeper in that. This version is good, but I prefer TM Krishna's coz the depth is incomparable, I couldn't stop crying. Just search for "TM Krishna Kapi".
Excellent recording quality. Great to listen with headphones. aside, Sunil's face not covered well?
Kanjira was so good
From childhood practice that's why mesmerizing
Good Sishya of greatTMK
Thanks!
nice full voice, sounds more hindustani style, starting more like pt Jasraj's "Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya" to my ears more hindustani devotional, easy for popular appeal ....TMK's style is more ascetically "carnatic" definitely more depth, a little more esoteric .... both beautiful...
This is haunting!
Superb
Best one
Good👍
❤❤
❤❤❤
It’s not a comparison between vignesh and TMK ……
Thalivar sings in vera level …
Vigesh ..wonderful singing too
Awesome composition and a mesmerising rendition 🙏🏽🙏🏽. I need the notes for this composition, can anyone help ?
Outstanding rendition! Speechless and touched by this mellifluent piece
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed.
Uninhibited. That’s his forte.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Someone please give the lyrics beautiful.......
Beautiful and soùlful rendition
This song is about
Vignesh pronounces it as "yaarenrum teriyaamal". TMK says "yenenrum teriyaamal" While the latter is formally correct (the French translator who has translated this song into English says that as well) both of them convey different but interesting meanings - "I don't who is making me feel" vs "I don't know what is making me feel". Variations of the latter are more commonly used, at least in Kannada - yeno gotilla.
Nice, good voice brother. Could have more Feel.
""Vizhi moodi thhongumpothum"" very much feel required.
"Yarendru theryamal" need More and more feel.
Love from Kerala.
It
Amazing 🙏🤍
What is the meaning of the “charanam” I couldn’t understand it well. I could understand the “pallavi” and “anupallavi”. Sorry, not so good with Tamil.
What is the meaning of this song? Can anyone please write i already heard it in TMKs voice. No one explained there I am hoping someone would write here
Words in brackets are not mentioned in the Tamil Lyrics but they are understood. When a poem is translated to different language, the verbs and nouns are placed according to the Language structure.... I my translation I tried to strictly follow the lyrics structure and come up with words... A good translator may place the words differently
you are the only one stay in my heart
(i) wipe and wipe still (you) do not disappear
(i) rub and rub still (you) do not disappear
(and you) shine light (and you) shine light
you are the only one stay in my heart
(Whether) with eyes open (and I) look
(or) with eyes closed (and I ) sleep
(In my) everyday life, both in reality and in dreams
you are the only one stay in my heart
Sky is full of patterns
The shows of the stars (The lyric says shows of the fish ... But I take it as 'fish on the sky'. There is a word in Tamil for stars as 'vin meankal')
Honey brimming flowers' glorious states
(I) say they are waste and (i) ignore everything
Without any reason, (i) getup and jump
(i) forget myself, hop and fall without rest
(you) Brighten up with your front and back (Your presence is mentioned as front and back) with radiance...
you are the only one stay in my heart
Copied from comment section in TMK's ver.
I'm listening to this almost everyday, what a rasana, its madrasana, i love it.
This budding musician will bring laurels to both his Guru- vid T.M K and himself. Wish him good luck.
Nī maṭṭumē eṉ neñjil nīrukkiṟāy
It is only you that is inhabiting my heart
Azhikka azhikka azhiyāmal
No matter how much I try to destroy it, it doesn’t perish
Tudaikka tudaikka maṟaiyāmal
No matter how much I try to wipe it away, it remains
Oḷi vīsi oḷi vīsi
Radiating light, radiating light
Nī maṭṭumē eṉ neñjil nīrukkiṟāy…
It is only you that is inhabiting my heart…
Vizhittiranthu nōkkumbōdum
When I open my eyes and see
Vizhimūdi tūṅkumbōdum
And when I close my eyes to sleep
Naṉavilum kaṉavilum
In my consciousness and in my dreams
Vaḷarnta nāḷellām
Through the days that I grew up
Nī maṭṭumē eṉ neñjil nīrukkiṟāy...
It is only you that is inhabiting my heart
Vāṉeṅkum kōlaṅkaḷ mīṉkaḷiṉ
In the patterns of the sky and in the sight of fish
kāzhtcikaḷ Tēṉ poṅkum pūkkaḷil
In the flowers that bloom with honey
Pērazhaku māzhṭcikaḷ
Is the majesty of great beauty
Vīṇeṉṟa solliyae ellām taḷḷum
I say that everything is worthless and push it away
Ēṉeṉṟu teriyāmal ezhuntāṭi tuḷḷum
Without knowing why, as soon as I wake up, I dance
Taṉṉai maṟandum tāvi viḻuntum ōyāmal
Forgetting myself, leaping and falling, invincibly
Muṉṉum piṉṉum murukuṭaṉ oḷivīsi
In front of me and behind me, radiating light on Murugan
Nī maṭṭumē eṉ neñjil nīrukkiṟāy
It is only you that is inhabiting my heart
Azhikka azhikka azhiyāmal
No matter how much I try to destroy it, it doesn’t perish
Tudaikka tudaikka maṟaiyāmal
No matter how much I try to wipe it away, it remains
Oḷi vīsi oḷi vīsi
Radiating light, radiating light
Nī maṭṭumē eṉ neñjil irukkiṟāy…
It is only you that is inhabiting my heart
Vignesh has lost weight!
Can this technically be defined as a bhajan?
I found out that the song is a love poem
Far from it. Love poem tuned to kapi.
If there is no love in one's bhakti... There is no point to the bhajan.
@@fullautumnmoon It actually comes across as a beautiful krithi when TM Krishna sings it. But Vignesh has given a different twist to it. I think that's where this bhajan interpretation is coming from. I find it tough to label it.
Arumayana rendition. Lovely voice . but the Tamil lyrics are neither touching nor memorable .Love to listen to Thooran ayya's song in your voice vignesh.
Somehow couldn't appreciate the harmonium which I have never been a fan of.
Seems like this song could have been inspired by an unending cough that the author of the poem was suffering from for many years.
oml I legit burst out laughing. my mom joined me too. the presence of mind tho
ha haha haa. i just laughed my ass off. Roflmao. Roflmao. excellent humour.. you are just awessoomme man!!
Haha
HAHAHAHA!!
😂😂😂😂👌
More beautiful without harmonium
പഠിച്ച കളരി മോശമല്ലല്ലോ…. അതിന്റെ ഗുണം….😍😍
