    Great stuff, Joel! I Play D&D and Pulp Cthulhu weekly but Soulbound is shaping you really nicely! And particularly the starter set is looking amazing! Would love to give it a try! Keep up the the good work, man!

    This is one of the best RPGs in recent years and to top it all of: it moves very far away from miniatures gaming, what you wouldn't expect.
    Really happy about that. Feels fresh and quick. :)
    I think only the setting is a little "out there" and super hard to grasp for most people starting out. :/

    Excellent summary, convinced me to grab the starter set. Thanks :)

    Awesome! Convinced me to buy the GM Screen, I had already ordered the Starter Set and own the Core Rulebook. I have yet to play an RPG but I just wanted to read up on the lore and stuff, since I'm really into AoS. Maybe once this Pandemic is over I can invite some friends over and give the game a shot.

      Awesome. Hope you all enjoy it if you get it to the table.

    Ever plan on checking out C7's Wrath & Glory 40k RPG?

    • @DriveThruReview
      @DriveThruReview  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Eventually. But I’m so confused on what’s current and what they’ve updated etc... and if there is a core rules update around the corner.

      @@DriveThruReview - The core Wrath & Glory rules were updated in PDF quite awhile back. The new Core book from Cubicle 7 has been on the shelves for a bit too. It's more easily readable than the original release from Ulisses-Spiele which had a terrible gray background and not so good layout. The new C7 version is quite nice.
      The first splatbook has also been out in PDF, but not paper form yet.

      @@NefariousKoel OK. Thanks. I took another look. Looks like the Core book and Litanies of the Lost are the two main items available, along with two free PDFs. And ya, I flipped through the original at Gen Con a couple of years ago... and the book didn't grab me at all.

    Great video as always, but sad to see it is another GW plug. There are so many smaller companies that need exposure. GW is a blight on gaming as it is; they don't need further hype.

      To me, that is a fascinating attitude. How are GW a blight on gaming?

      @@peterdickinson4599 All big companies bad, all indies good! Classic black and white view point of the world. Reality is some big companies are great, some are awful. Some small companies are great some are awful.

      @@tiffer45 I agree. Just been seeing a lot of these absolutist attitudes being expressed in comments since the WQ:CC debacle. Hard to understand the reasoning behind it. 1. In the grand scheme of things, GW aren’t that big a company. 2. They draw a lot of eyes to the hobby. Yes, they then suck a lot of oxygen out of the room, but bringing people in gives smaller and niche producers a ready-made market to sell to. 3. Their products are of a very high quality, both physically and artistically. Yes they charge a premium, but no one is forcing you to buy them. Overall: if GW went out of business the hobby would miss them dramatically.

      @@peterdickinson4599 I agree. I think GW brings an awful lot into the hobby. They aren't perfect and could do some things better for sure, but generally they do a good job with their miniatures, games, and settings. I for one am a huge fan of Age of Sigmar and I'm excited about this RPG as a way to really dive into one of my favorite settings.
