This is very interesting seeing how the market is now introducing these new materials for keycaps. I’m so excited to see more builds with these keycaps :)

I would think that your first concern is not that important considering that dropping keyboards happens almost never for most users. Fingers won't do any damage to ceramics no matter how hard you type. Ceramics are brittle, but still relatively very tough. Slamming or punching (very very hard) your keyboard could possibly shatter the keycaps, but that could easily be prevented. Just breathe, calm down, and don't punch or slam your keyboard
Not only a build as perhaps the thockiest keyboard, but I think it's a build with very refined taste - the organic touch of black ceramic on a black Owlab spring!

Video idea: the no plastic keyboard! make a keyboard that has zero plastic whatsoever, switches, plates, keycaps, case, everything! maybe not the pcb tho idk
I placed an order for a set of these for a very special mechanical keyboard, my Abkoncore AR87. An incredibly special keyboard, weighing in at nearly 7 pounds of machined aluminum, deserves incredibly special keycaps. So rather than using my all-stainless steel keycap set. Which were OEM Profile and didn't quite fit the style as this keyboard was really designed to be used with Cherry Profile. I went ahead with this instead! I'm extremely excited to be one of the first with an all-ceramic keycap set in exclusive Crazed Blue. In addition to the other mods I've got planned like soldering LEDs to backlight the keycaps etc. It'll be about as custom as it can get and incredibly rare, a crown jewel of a keyboard as it were, that'll be durable enough to last forever and something special I hope to pass down someday. They let me know since they got over 4,000 orders, they plan to get them all manufactured and shipped by August-October of this year!! May the Thock be with you.
That is a seriously awesome keyboard... and close to my absolute dream keyboard which would be an 80% with the same ergonomic layout as this one, mechanical ceramic key caps like this one, but also RGB, have both wired and wireless / rechargeable. Unfortunately such a keyboard doesn't exist... but this ticks more of the boxes than any other I've found so far.
This thing sounds very interesting. If I just entered the room and heard you typing on this thing but didn't see what was going on I would swear someone is taking a fat bong rip. That keyboard straight up gurgles.
I bet they have some serious weight compared to plastics haha, but as someone who has worked with various ceramic types and coatings before, the glaze does seem quite smooth as you'd expect. I'm not sure I'd like that personally, especially if your hand gets too dry or even remotely sweaty it'll be sliding all over the place, and conversely if your fingers stick to them then that doesn't help with ease of movement either. Definitely sounds good in this board regardless. Are the undersides uncoated and if so, does it have any texture? The legend versions look promising and I'm wondering how they achieve that and if it's clear-coated (the site says they use decals, likely under clear coat, which is neat technically speaking). I am looking forward to more types/styles since there are many kinds of ceramics :) Cheers!
I really like the idea of short videos, but the long ones are also bangers. So i would mix it up, so that the Most videos are long, but a few are short

"Blurry65" sounds like a legit keyboard. 😂 These sound like all high profile caps combined. Like, their spacebars had children. Love the video as always -- though I do miss the deeper dive into the "why" behind the sound. You've started to normalize certain terms with me -- like air vs. structure borne sound. I would guess in this build, the caps are far more impactful than the board, and so the sound stems more from the ceramic directly. (And thus ends my cheap imitation of keybored science.) Also, do you prefer Arisu style over split? I know you've got experience with both now.
Haha, the keyboard was out of focus and my face was in lol. You should listen to the full size spacebar for this thing... it's waaaaay too crazy. Needs like a 80G spring tho haha. No worries, I'll bring back the "why" videos back too! I realized that back to back to back 15-20 min videos was a bit too much (for viewers and me haha) The split felt more different. Their spacebar doesn't work, as shown in Hipyo Techs stream. They say they are going to fix it with a certain amount of people investing in the campaign, but you never know...
