Our Black Utopia is a safe space for PROGRESSIVE and WELL-MEANING Black Expats, aspiring Expats, and Black folks on the FIRE journey. This is not a space to debate the merits of maga or why one should stay where they don't want to stay. If you want to engage in that type of discussion do so somewhere else. ( this is Halisi being polite)

I just purchased my first home 6 months ago; and my husband just sent off his expedited passport application today. Although I have 6 figures in personal savings and we both have stable and monthly income, I feel like those 2 factors alone make me feel like we have major setbacks. I am definitely going to watch the entire video. I think we might need to try the 90 days Visa route first 🤔🤷🏽

My sister moved to Panama 2 years ago. Came back to the United States to sell her house and said get your passport. My nephew moved to Thailand. I have been researching Costa Rica and Mexico. Learning Spanish right now. Even though I am 83, I have had enough in this country. I just need to know how to move my money, Africa is the richest continent on earth and China and other countries are establishing businesses there in numerous countries on the continent. Africa can use our black genius. Exploring countries there also. If our ancestors could build America with slave labor for free, we can build somewhere else and be free. We don't need America, they need us.

Dorothy - I would leave my money in the US until he starts hinting at dismantling the FDIC. You can transfer as you need it - we look at the exchange rate and when it looks good - we transfer 2-5 months worth of expenses. Mexico is the softest landing with a HUGE Black community. Lake Chapala, great retirement community of older Americans (lots of palm-colored people though). Mérida is great for Black Americans but it's hot and humid - some folks love that. Querétaro and San Miguel de Allende both have a thriving Black community - Querétaro is VERY affordable.

There are scammers involved with land purchases in particular. Africa is developing, though it may be a final destination for many of us, mustn't rush. Get the Ready to Retire Toolkit-the link is in the description below and it’s free. Thoroughly assess your spending-go back 3 months to see where every penny is going. List your expenses and next to each you will keep it, replace it with something cheaper or eliminate it. We canceled a bunch of subscriptions and cable TV, we got a cheaper cell service, etc. we had potlucks with friends instead of going out. You get the point. The key is to lower expenses as much as possible. Then you need to increase income. Ask for a raise, sell those designer shoes and bags, get a 2nd job for a couple of months. Then consider Mexico, it’s easy much less expensive and there’s a large Black community in many cities.

America needs to be honest with itself, the founding fathers never envisioned a diverse nation where people lived in racial harmony. They just wanted to get away from England and its Monarchy rules, they wanted a Europe in America minus a King's foot on their necks. If you dont believe me got to the naturilization act of 1790 by the first U.S. President and first U.S. Congress and look at the only people allowed to become U.S. Citizens.
This stayed law until the 14th ammendment in 1868, an admendment Trump has vowed to get rid of when he takes office. The goal has always been a homegenous country of Europeans.
Even Abraham Lincoln said in 1862 to free people of African descent, when slavery is over European Americans will never see you as equals, and he even said that all people of African descent should leave America for their own good and those of his own race.
Lincoln said to those who did not want to leave, that even the people on his side would not want them to stay if their whole popu;ation was free! They dont teach this in school but Lincoln writings are availble for all to see. It gave me a more pessimitic view of things because we have been living a lie so long!

@OntheWingsofDoves - Also, most of the people in authority were 2nd, 3rd and 4th sons of English aristocrats who would not inherit anything from their fathers, so they had to make their fortunes somewhere else. That's how Southern Gentry came about in the Southern States of the USA.

Have you forgot Trump with your president four years ago did he kill you, put you in slaves, break down your constitution? What did he do that makes you so fearful of him today. That Democratic party is the party you should have been scared of so glad they lost. Even though I don't believe in either party I would rather have Trump than the ladder party.

But please remember that there were wagon trains in droves moving through the hard winter to the north to fight against slavery. White people. Who lost babies to the cold and still believed in the importance of moving forward. All along there have been warriors on both sides standing together. Fighting for what's right. Don't turn us out now. I mean go, for sure, but we're with you in prayer and spirit. And I also feel that the vote should have been closer.

Now its time for the truth, the majority of those people could care less about my people, I do give great credit to abolishinist, but they were few and far betweeen. I come to the painful reality that neither side really cared about my people, Lincoln was more concerned with what slavery was doing to European Americans and saving the Union:
"The aspiration of men is to enjoy equality with the best when free, but on this broad continent, not a single man of your race is made the equal of a single man of ours. Go where you are treated the best, and the ban is still upon you.
I do not propose to discuss this, but to present it as a fact with which we have to deal. I cannot alter it if I would. It is a fact, about which we all think and feel alike, I and you. We look to our condition, owing to the existence of the two races on this continent. I need not recount to you the effects upon [whyte] men, growing out of the institution of Slavery. I believe in its general evil effects on the [whyte] race. See our present condition---the country engaged in war!---our [whyte] men cutting one another's throats, none knowing how far it will extend; and then consider what we know to be the truth. But for your race among us there could not be war, 👉🏿although many men engaged on either side do not care for you one way or the other.👈🏿Nevertheless, I repeat, without the institution of Slavery and the colored race as a basis, the war could not have an existence." What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead....Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.

All of Israel ( The Promised Land) is the "Negroes" homeland.
That small sliver of occupied land, currently called "Israel", is Not the totality of "Melanated/Israel's homeland.
The biblical land of Israel probably encompasses a large portion of Africa and the so-called "Middle East".
The official arrival date of enslaved people on American soil is 1619.
The Gregorian Calendar is a few years ahead of the biblical calendar/timing.
According to the Ethiopian Calendar (which is more biblically accurate) there are approximately 5 to 6 more years left until the 400 year freedom promise is complete.
Deuteronomy Chapter 28, Verses 15-68 and
Leviticus Chapter 26, Verses 14-39 identifies who the REAL Israelites are; by identifying the conditions of their abuse.
No other people-group have received this collective treatment...except the "Negro".
Somehow YAH/God will ensure our safe return to our homeland.
In the meantime, we should Pray/Communicate with Him, and Follow His Commandments...being the people He originally intended us to be.
My current travels are in South and East Africa... exploring what could possibly be my home.
I haven't ventured yet into the
      so-called "Middle East".
      Shalom (Peace)

Wow wow wow. I am super thrilled to have run across your podcast. I am not familiar with you guys. This is the first time I am visiting your podcast, but it came at a time where I was just speaking to my family about seriously considering leaving the United States. One of my Considered countries is Portugal. I have not been there yet but plan to go on my next birthday which will be my 60th birthday. I have heard wonderful things about Portugal and to run into your podcast, I feel is a divine find. after listening for only a half an hour I am blown away. This podcast is so rich with information that I know I’m going to have to set aside a few hours on the weekend with my pad and paper and really dissect this. I am seven years away from possible retirement from the New York City Court system, and I have dragged my feet on the necessary preparation to be able to retire comfortably. I look forward to learning so much more, I look forward to tapping into you guys as resource, I look forward to prospering from this gift that was seemingly haphazardly placed in my lap. thank you for having the heart and foresight to do something just like this. God bless you and you will definitely be seeing and hearing more.

To have higher mortality rates, to be targeted by the cops, to be policed by karens and chads everywhere we go, to make less money though we have more education and experience. Nah, SSI is an EARNED BENEFIT - we put money into that bitch, since the US is transactional so are we. We take our American cash and spend it where we are treated decently. You can stay stressed out in the US if you want to - but don't hate on the folks who have found a way to USE THE US FOR ALL THAT THEY ARE GOOD FOR. Yes, Mauritius is frequently struck by tropical cyclones, also known as hurricanes, due to its location in the Southwest Indian Ocean Cyclone Basin. The cyclone season in the southwest Indian Ocean runs from late October to May, with the most activity in mid-January and mid-February to early March.

The US government is actually using the name of the continent. We are US citizens and citizens of the United States. Everyone in North America, Central America, South America, the Americas and the American continent is an American like Asia are Asians, Africa are Africans and Europe are Europeans. What happened first? The United States of America or the American continent? The United States of America became a nation on the date of July 4th of 1776 and the whole entire continent was already named America after Amerigo Vespucci in the year 1507 that was 269 years difference way before the United States of America became a nation. Europe has 50 countries, Asia has 51 countries, Africa has 54 countries, Oceania has 14 countries and America is not a country America is a continent of 35 countries in total. Why are people not educated about America? ............The reason why people come here to the United States from all over the world is because the US government goes to their countries and controls and manipulates their governments. The US government and its allies aka puppets invade small countries 10 or more against 1 small country not even bigger than Texas. Both the Democrats and the Republicans are the same snake with two evil heads. The US government is a two face and the number 1 terrorist in the world. The US government invades, kills, destroys, divides, controls, manipulates and steals resources from small countries. .............Homelessness is a choice of life. Life is beautiful but no one said life is easy. Many people have too many excuses in life, more excuses than the exits of freeway 101 located in California. Many people are looking for work praying to God not to find a job. People just want just want handouts. The more money you give them the more they want. Whoever wants an easy life in life will always have issues, struggle and drama in life but whoever makes a sacrifice in a good way in life will make a benefit in life....

Q question.. Thank you. What’s your take on Tanzania, Ghana, and Rwanda? I’ve done extensive research on their history and would prefer going to live in either. I’m retired and frugal. One major desire is to purchase property in Africa a for long term access by my children in the U.S. I so appreciate your research and motivation to help save what’s left of our dignity and ability to survive economically and politically. I’d appreciate a response.

Hey Nomadic Kitty - at least 1/3 of the Black Americans in our HUGE expat group have kids under the age of 17 - some are in the first years of elementary school. Not only are there international schools but there are a lot of options out there. The biggest gift you can give to your brown babies is knowing that the whole world does not necessarily view them as Americans do. The kids who are growing up here seem to have much more confidence then the avg. kid I see in the US🤷🏽‍♀️. I WISH I could've moved my son out before high school.
