So the pros keep saying that powerful cards let mote people with less skill win. Which, imo, is disrespectful towards people who aren't "pros", but whatever. A question though: Don't those same "pros" have access to those same powerful cards? And if so, why aren't they winning? Skill issue?

Unicorn's affect to rip from extra deck has a fair stipulation while Diablosis can do at will and then Banish cards of top of deck for number already banished! This affect alone OTKs most decks!

Just errata cards for them to be used only in their own archetypes. Predaplants for verte. Heavymetalfoes for electrumite. Crystrons for halq. Isolde for nobles. Aruradon for mechaphantombeasts. Superheavy scarecrow for superheavy. Elf for sprights. Super simple

That defeats the whole point of Verte/Halq/Elec. They're not archetype support, they're meant to support their respective summon types because they were made in Master Rule 4, when the summon types got shafted by needing links.
Pot of greed at 1 would be a mandatory include in EVERY deck, which I think Konami is trying to avoid. If they were going to, they would have done it right before releasing the Pot Collection.
The ocg ran a pretty sizeable traditional format (any banned card is instead limited) event last year and only 1 of the top 4 decks played it. Now that isn't fully representative of the modern format and I suspect it would see play in most decks but I actually don't think it would be a mandatory include anymore.
The one Deck returning to YuGiOh that has felt great and respectful is Swordsouls… It restricts you into Wyrm types not too much but enough so that you cant just run all your non engine absolute BOMB or power cards. Decks like Branded/Despia, Kashtira, overall decks that locks you into something are good cuz they make the player love one type of playing and then each player will have different of playstyles.(unless you are a very skillful player) Restrictions ARE NEEDED IN EVERY DECK. Cuz with the crazy cardpool that we have its not hard for the top players to find a loophole and absolutely cheat victory every time. And also it must not be allowed for ANY deck to run more than 10 non engine cards bcoz that is really what causes mirror matches and instead of picking synergised cards to boost your deck everyone picks the same handtraps and power cards which feels flavourless

Phantom of yubel should be banned and honestly that’s a take that nobody could really disagree with. No matter how your deck interacts with your opponent no matter what they will always be able to end on a phantom of yubel. Anything less than banishing every one of their cards face down will resort in an established end board. And yubel especially with fiendsmith would still be a top deck

I think cards like misc are why dinos have not gotten any new archetype or major support for any of the already exists archetypes. Not to mention fossil dig. Nothing against them but we saw how Konami decided to design transcendisaurus. They really fear making them too strong I thunk
Would love to see more Decks having access to Main Deck Engines than ED ones. By that I mean something like Yama being errata to take atleast 1 Main Deck Unchained monster in order to make.
I'll die on the hill of advocating for flood gates; we need them. Until the massive gaps between the handful of tier 0-1 decks and the rest of the game goes, we need flood gates. Konami could also just...not make decks that don't do much in comparison to say snake eyes so every deck can feel powerful. But flood gates are one of the few healthy seats for rogue decks and below to at least do SOMETHING to the high tier decks.

If you activate it during your draw phase, there is literally only one card in the game that can stop it, and it happens to be limited to 1 (Gamma). Called by the grave is the only reliable way to stop it, and it only works if you are both going first and you draw the card. Dimensional Shifter is not a balanced card.
@@ApaulloYGO If they activate it on your turn, 0 of those cards do anything to help. Crossout only works if you play shifter yourself, which would mean you can already play around it. Called by is at 1. Be realistic and recognize how uncounterable this floodgate is.
Every single thing you said about Baronne that makes it a problem also applies to Appo. Even if it's only monster effects and it doesn't destroy, a generic multi-negate that's really easy to go into and actively free with I:P is too much imo. Basically every deck without a really solid win con of its own runs Appo as the win con going first. That's a problem imo. I don't think Appo feels particularly unfair to play against, but I also thought the same thing about Baronne. I just think the game would be better without it. Edit: There's no way you put IP in the "should be banned" category and said SP shouldn't. It's definitely not going to be banned on the next list, but it damn well deserves to be

Hot take: Maxx C should be at 3... in very specific formats where a tier 0 deck can only be beat by very specific handtraps (like Ishizu Tear) then be rebanned the second the deck dies. But Konami would fuckthat up so best to leave it banned. Also, I can be trusted with Grass and Graceful.
Ishizu Tear didn't care about Maxx C, they summoned Kit search for Sulliek set it and pass, and then they played on the opponents turn, the Maxx C user woudl just draw 2 cards for what, to still be combo on your turn. Also Maxx C makes Tier 0 decks better, imagine someone making Fiendsmith Snake Eyes full combo and then pass to your turn and then use Maxx C
@@Ms666slayer It'd give a chance at an out but was a double edged sword since other decks could use it. Like I said, only healthy in very very specific formats but shouldn't exist any other time. And Snake Eyes isn't a format I'd say it'd help check at all.
@@Ms666slayer Tear you had to draw Shifter, Crow, or a Bystial. It isn't an out but would have helped. But would have needed to be banned with Tear. And no format since has felt like the roach would be safe so it'd stay locked away til the day comes. Unhealthy card that only is okish in unhealthy formats.
Well if we want to limit special summoning we would need Master Rule 6 to be a more oppressive version of Master Rule 4 or decks like Spright would get away with using Spright Red and Spright Carrot to cheat out more interruptions and not really be kept in check with link monsters. The point of limiting special summons is to lower the power ceiling of the game and if decks can do more than what Voiceless can by just special summoning cards like Spright Red and Spright Carrot(Which you can get to easily.) you lower the amount of summons but you don't actually fix anything.
The things Raizeol Cross let's you do is insane. In exchange for not making 2 of the same xyz monster you get to shuffle 2 Raizeol cards from grave and draw 1 and once per turn when your opponents activated monster effect resolves you can detach material from a Raizeol monster. You can negate Nibiru and from there if you have Node Raizeol you can make Rafflesia without adding a card to hand and because of Grave Diggers Trap Hole you'll be able to keep adding cards almost unhindered. Worst case scenario is you'll be running 1 or 2 extra bricks for nothing. But for a chance to have 2 ways to negate Nibiru so that Nibiru doesn't exist period and a chance to negate Droll in the same turn is to good to pass up. and if you run the Toy Box engine and you negate Droll no hand traps exist. The Multcharmy cards aren't that frightening either because you can end on a board with up to 5 interruptions and only give 2 draws for Perulea and 2-3 draws for Fuwaross. Aggregator, Raizeol Hole, and Raizeol Cross almost guarantees that no matter what you'll have 3 interruptions under those exact conditions and there is room for 15+ non-engine so you can have more interruptions in your hand and the draw 1 from the field spell only adds to it. Because you can just shuffle back 2 Raizeol xyz monsters you can draw 1 without adding any cards that would hinder from drawing that non-engine. Raizeol already terrifying but just think they got 1-3 waves of support coming in after this. I'm excited because I like Raizeol but I'm sorry to tell you that when Cross-Over Breakers come out we will be in another tier 0 format. You see Ice Raizeol and Duo Drive are good enough to draw in hand traps by themselves but you have Node, Sword, Ex, and the Toy Box engine to contend with to. With the Toy Box engine even if Node is negated you can still pay Nodes cost and send Toy Soldier or Tank to grave and special summon the Toy you sent. Laplacian is generic and Raizeol Hole allows you to quick xyz. Ripping 2 cards from peoples hands or just using Laplacian to its full effect is insane to. The field spell can recycle its self so running 2 allows you to keep looping in preparation for its next destruction. One of the cards I know I will be looping is Raizeol Hole. My reason why is I'm running 2 at the moment and if I cut the 1 copy of Palma thats how I'll make room for 2 copies of Raizeol Cross. The scariest about the deck is going first your opponent can negate the card that can search it but if you open it they just have to watch you make your board.
@@chewdoom8415 People will call it tier 0 because its almost brainless to play and it will eventually take up over 50% of top cut just like Snake-Eyes did. Thats been whats dictated what the best deck has been almost every year. The strongest deck you make the fewest mistakes with. Raizeol, Apodrakosis decks, Yubel, Blue-Eyes with its new cards, and maybe Malice will probably be the only decks in the top 10 best decks after Snake-Eyes gets hit on the ban list. You've got to keep in mind that Raizeol has access to some of the strongest cards in the game. They have Dweller, Steelswarm Roach, Bagooska, Rafflesia, Laplacian because its completely generic, Draco Future in later turns or if your running the Toy Box engine, Zeus because of Raizeol Holes quick effect xyz summon, and a whole bunch of other cards.
@@jacobwoodard818 Sounds like a lot of hype to me. Raizeol is not taking up that many spots, especially with those decks you mentioned. You can work around the restriction with other engines, but that is likely not goinf to lead to much pay off or a good deck. I expect it and the other two archetypes in the db pack to be really good after a wave or two of support. Not to mention we do not get crossover breakers until November while the banlist is happening this month. We do not even know the release date for the blue eyes structure deck in the tcg.
@@chewdoom8415 Well Yes I'm just saying that especially with the Multcharmy cards it looks a little to good not to at least be tier 1 on release. Even if you have to use Ices' normal summon to make I:P to play around D. Barrier with S:P and hand traps thats still really good. I don't know of many tier 1 decks that play through a lot of hand traps and do as much as Raizeol can.
@@jacobwoodard818 I can see it being tier 1. Biggest choke point seems to just be the xyz that adds since that's the only way to access the s/t without hard drawing. Ip to play around d barrier works if you already handtrap the opponent enough, which I can see given the room for non engine. I think the newest multcharmy hurts a bit though. They can play around it (summon from hand twice with only one draw from summoning the xyz that pops) but I expect handtraps to become less effective with newer archetypes that are meant to meta.
Shock master can definitely come back you got mind control snatch steal COH Imperm Ghost ogre hell spooky dig wood before your opponent goes and summon 16. And you can steal and link it off for S:P or any generic link or take it for attacking your opponent then slap a zeus. Union carrier can stay ban cause of the mist thunder bird and mist valley apex an endless negate loop
I remember Ultimate Offering from when I was a kid! At the playground we didn't understand the game that well, and I used it to cheese out the Elemental Hero Electrum that I got from my McDonald's Happy Meal.
Thays exactly what I've been saying Cali. Kashtira Arise-Heart is by far one of the fairest cards in the game because of the non-engine it loses to if we live in a format where cards like Colosus and Protos exist I can't see why we can't live in a format where Arise-Heart is limited. It had some unfair aspects but are you trying to tell me that just because it can be brought out from the extra deck that its just as unfair as when someone manages to normal summon Jowgen and resolve Moon Mirror Shield. With the number of other summoning mechanics we have Arise-Heart shouldn't even matter. Konami has even made efforts to lower the power of cards like Shifter by giving decks loopholes to Shifter.
Errata circular by restricting the deck to play only in mathmech extra deck mons. The archetype either dies for being broken or lives as a fun or rogue deck.
Returning player here from about the gx era lol. Crazy thought i have is that some of these cards have been banned for a very long time and the cards coming out today are pretty crazy. How bad of an idea would it be to unban everything for a few months and start the banlist fresh?
Love the points on Kashtira Arise-Heart! been saying the same argument since he was banned! It was a terrible hit, the card is very easy to interact with and very easy to stop your opponent from getting into him, if anything shifter should have been banned before Arise-Heart as he is a archetype specific card that can't be used in every deck like Shifter can be! Everybody complains about Arise-hearts mandatory affect to attach a banished card but that is also its greatest weakness as it turns Talents, Fenrir, Gamma, so much more! Also Arise-heart is a critical meta checking card so just having him in the format stops everyone from going on a tear with all these graveyard reliant decks! The format has been terrible since he was banned due to every rouge deck possible that abuses the graveyard to make insane FTK boards, plus the shift to an all hand trap format from a balance of board breakers and hand traps has been disgusting for true fans of yugioh and interactive gameplay! I would love to see the shufflers banned and Tearlaments Kitkalos come to 1 but Cali is spot on here that card is way more broken then Arise-heart! I mean add any Tear name and then send 5 cards, which can be chained blocked with Tear Kash!!! I think Chaos Space and Gamma should come back to 3 to counter all the Muchamy cards! Called by grave to 2?!
Honestly, kit is probably fine at one and when you have only 3 cards to fuse with, stopping them is easy with bystials or crow. Shufflers are fine at one.

@@HouseStarkTCG I think the only reason bystials are not popular is because they only really hurt yubel and the fiendsmith engine. Even in the case of yubel you would have to dedicate multiple side slots and they have phantom. My only thing with solutions like that is that it is just, in the case of Kash and maybe tear, reintroducing decks that warped a format and just cater to people who want to play them. I don't really have an opinion on gamma

Sixth sense take was bad. That card’s got two modes: either good or crazy amazing. Also, Kitkalos can be limited as it has been in MD. With tear, it’s kinda cool because if you’re careful how much of each thing you allow it will always be playable but variously strong. So long as the Ishizu cards aren’t given free reign, obviously.

poplar is the snake-eye card that should be banned. It doesn't kill the deck but it does massively lower the power level. Also ultimate offering absolutely cannot come of the list. Flu would be the defacto best deck and wouldn't be close. The amount of abusive shit flu could do with ultmiate offering on your opponents turn would be completely absurd. Halq and union carrier can also not return. Period. Halq is just too generic and too powerful and carrier promotes a myriad of problems.
wouldnt beatrice errata being that if its summon from dante it can send any card this turn and if its summoned from lvl 6 monsters waiting a turn would fix the card?
My awful PoG essay and its consequences have been a disaster for Yugioh discourse. Move Sekka's Light to 3 though, no balls. And then ban the Virus Cards and D Barrier. Also, unbanning Broad bull is insane. That card can search just about ANY beast warrior monster, so its hard to future proof. Konami will end up printing something busted that warrents banning the card again, so i'd rather we just bring back Barrage instead.
Kitkallos is actually got to one and let Merrli be the meat shield because unlike the rest of extra deck millers you actually need to run a tear package to make it work hell master duel proves that its fine at one as long as one of the main deck tear takes its place
OCG those guys that never used Tear with Dangers or Runick or BASED, there's a video i believe on Joshua Schmidth channel explainig why OCG players a lot of times never find the decks we build even if they could had done it, pretty much they have a weird mindset of you need to a 100% have cards for some situations even if they are super unlikely to happen just to be safe, so their decks and side decks get bloated by cards that are useless most of the time and you could cut to innovate.

I know a lot of people call for Albion and king calamity to be hit, but I just don’t see it… they only benefit 1 deck each really and the decks they benefit are only tier 1-2… they’re also the only win conditions of those decks and both have multiple options to out them…
it just promotes unhealthy gameplay in yugioh. thats why so many toxic floodgates are banned, they are unhealthy for yugioh. it also makes it seem more dice roll dependent. and its not fun to play and not be able to special summon or activate effects and lose next turn.
@@4llfy that said, my point being more that unlike those other flood gates and other toxic plays, that singular line of stun requires a multi card combo that can be stopped in multiple ways, even if it may be slightly toxic, it would be overkill to take an already struggling deck and completely cripple it…. Unlike the other toxic cards you mentioned that can be used in multiple multiple decks so it’s hardly in the same playing field
That is just not true with branded. They can set up multiple disruptions. SE is not out here setting up floodgates and you acknowledge that it is tier 0. I understand that the deck is weaker in this format and has more choke points but your bias is making you act as if that is the only way the deck can win. If you can think that those cards should not be hit but don't be so bias that you lie.
@@chewdoom8415 not the only way at all, but, even before the meta went to tier 0, Branded was still barely above tier 2 and has been in and out of the meta for over a year. You can’t deny that without that win condition the deck is undeniably weaker and for a deck that is barely hanging on to not being rogue weakening it just doesn’t make sense… that said it’s still a 2-4 card combo to get there anyways that can be easily stopped it just doesn’t make sense to ban it when there are far more toxic options open to multiple decks. As for my bias… I am playing tenpai right now not Branded, Branded is a pet deck for me right now but even when I was playing it, I found that getting the gimmick lock up can only be consistently pulled off 1 in 3 rounds, not including hand traps and options to stop it such as ash, skull meister , and d.d. Crow

What konami needs to do is a retrain or errata of Isolde, to be archetypal lock or just warrior lock, but banning it killed all warrior decks, plus since you didnt put much incentive to the matter of isolde, Isolde isnt really a problem or a threat, its not the player who summoned Isolde at fault just because the opponent has no handtraps or response to Isolde. Like really, you copium if you say Isolde is a problem

We need to stop going after floodgates and omnis because a vast majority playing them aren't the best decks and alot of decks that control the board aren't really even playing hand traps because they are only useful in a deck that have all those 1 card starters

@@residentgrey it provides you with an extra normal summon when linked summon and you discard for cost. Edit: I originally said that I believe that you gain the normal summon when if it was co linked, but that is only important for the draw.
@@residentgrey I was incorrect. The optional trigger effect to gain an extra normal summon triggers when linked summon. You gain a draw if it was co linked at activation.
Just remove any card that prevents your opponents from interacting with the game, playing the game or using the game. Mechanics to play the game in general floodgates And deck archetypes that are built around stunning, slowing the game down and introducing these obnoxious. Floodgates should also just not exist

I’ve been trying to get back in yugioh for a few months now. And it’s absolutely fucking gay. Every card fishes, every card special summons itself. Power creep has ruined the game completely… if you go first you take a year to finish your turn then completely lock people out of playing. Ban it all, the game sucks ass violently as it stands
I have no idea why this card isn't on that list, but Premature Burial should come off the banlist. Snatch Steal saw the light of day recently, while Islode is now banned. Are people really going to Main Deck Hidden Armory just for 1 card? They haven't done it with Snatch Steal so why would they with Premature? #FreePrematureBurial
Pot of greed at 1 would make decks that already use the pot collection even more broken. Cuz most of the pot collection have once per turn properties. And if you draw into pot of greed with any of the pot collection would be too powerful going first. Midrange decks like swordsouls and traptrix would suffer also even if their opponents are going second as they play so that they can capitalise on their opponents low starting resources.
How? The material requirements are already on point, the problem is that Synchro Summoning on the opponent's turn has been an important part of the mechanic practically since its inception and that his time freeze on Synchro Summon is a lot more devastating on their turn than on yours to just push Scarred through.

The fact therr is no condition or cost at all is part of why its too good to bring back. We dont need another card that's 100% manditory in every deck!

That defeats the whole point of Verte/Halq/Elec. They're not archetype support, they're meant to support their respective summon types because they were made in Master Rule 4, when the summon types got shafted by needing links.

Pot of greed at 1 would be a mandatory include in EVERY deck, which I think Konami is trying to avoid. If they were going to, they would have done it right before releasing the Pot Collection.

The ocg ran a pretty sizeable traditional format (any banned card is instead limited) event last year and only 1 of the top 4 decks played it. Now that isn't fully representative of the modern format and I suspect it would see play in most decks but I actually don't think it would be a mandatory include anymore.
But why would that be bad? I think it would be fun, ygo already has staples, it always has. Pot to 1 would make the game more fun imo.

The one Deck returning to YuGiOh that has felt great and respectful is Swordsouls…
It restricts you into Wyrm types not too much but enough so that you cant just run all your non engine absolute BOMB or power cards.
Decks like Branded/Despia, Kashtira, overall decks that locks you into something are good cuz they make the player love one type of playing and then each player will have different of playstyles.(unless you are a very skillful player)
Restrictions ARE NEEDED IN EVERY DECK. Cuz with the crazy cardpool that we have its not hard for the top players to find a loophole and absolutely cheat victory every time.
And also it must not be allowed for ANY deck to run more than 10 non engine cards bcoz that is really what causes mirror matches and instead of picking synergised cards to boost your deck everyone picks the same handtraps and power cards which feels flavourless

Phantom of yubel should be banned and honestly that’s a take that nobody could really disagree with. No matter how your deck interacts with your opponent no matter what they will always be able to end on a phantom of yubel. Anything less than banishing every one of their cards face down will resort in an established end board. And yubel especially with fiendsmith would still be a top deck

I think cards like misc are why dinos have not gotten any new archetype or major support for any of the already exists archetypes. Not to mention fossil dig. Nothing against them but we saw how Konami decided to design transcendisaurus. They really fear making them too strong I thunk

I'll die on the hill of advocating for flood gates; we need them. Until the massive gaps between the handful of tier 0-1 decks and the rest of the game goes, we need flood gates. Konami could also just...not make decks that don't do much in comparison to say snake eyes so every deck can feel powerful. But flood gates are one of the few healthy seats for rogue decks and below to at least do SOMETHING to the high tier decks.

If you activate it during your draw phase, there is literally only one card in the game that can stop it, and it happens to be limited to 1 (Gamma). Called by the grave is the only reliable way to stop it, and it only works if you are both going first and you draw the card. Dimensional Shifter is not a balanced card.
@@ApaulloYGO If they activate it on your turn, 0 of those cards do anything to help. Crossout only works if you play shifter yourself, which would mean you can already play around it. Called by is at 1. Be realistic and recognize how uncounterable this floodgate is.
Every single thing you said about Baronne that makes it a problem also applies to Appo. Even if it's only monster effects and it doesn't destroy, a generic multi-negate that's really easy to go into and actively free with I:P is too much imo. Basically every deck without a really solid win con of its own runs Appo as the win con going first. That's a problem imo. I don't think Appo feels particularly unfair to play against, but I also thought the same thing about Baronne. I just think the game would be better without it.

Hot take: Maxx C should be at 3... in very specific formats where a tier 0 deck can only be beat by very specific handtraps (like Ishizu Tear) then be rebanned the second the deck dies. But Konami would fuckthat up so best to leave it banned.
Also, I can be trusted with Grass and Graceful.
Ishizu Tear didn't care about Maxx C, they summoned Kit search for Sulliek set it and pass, and then they played on the opponents turn, the Maxx C user woudl just draw 2 cards for what, to still be combo on your turn.
Also Maxx C makes Tier 0 decks better, imagine someone making Fiendsmith Snake Eyes full combo and then pass to your turn and then use Maxx C

Well if we want to limit special summoning we would need Master Rule 6 to be a more oppressive version of Master Rule 4 or decks like Spright would get away with using Spright Red and Spright Carrot to cheat out more interruptions and not really be kept in check with link monsters. The point of limiting special summons is to lower the power ceiling of the game and if decks can do more than what Voiceless can by just special summoning cards like Spright Red and Spright Carrot(Which you can get to easily.) you lower the amount of summons but you don't actually fix anything.

The things Raizeol Cross let's you do is insane. In exchange for not making 2 of the same xyz monster you get to shuffle 2 Raizeol cards from grave and draw 1 and once per turn when your opponents activated monster effect resolves you can detach material from a Raizeol monster. You can negate Nibiru and from there if you have Node Raizeol you can make Rafflesia without adding a card to hand and because of Grave Diggers Trap Hole you'll be able to keep adding cards almost unhindered. Worst case scenario is you'll be running 1 or 2 extra bricks for nothing. But for a chance to have 2 ways to negate Nibiru so that Nibiru doesn't exist period and a chance to negate Droll in the same turn is to good to pass up. and if you run the Toy Box engine and you negate Droll no hand traps exist. The Multcharmy cards aren't that frightening either because you can end on a board with up to 5 interruptions and only give 2 draws for Perulea and 2-3 draws for Fuwaross. Aggregator, Raizeol Hole, and Raizeol Cross almost guarantees that no matter what you'll have 3 interruptions under those exact conditions and there is room for 15+ non-engine so you can have more interruptions in your hand and the draw 1 from the field spell only adds to it. Because you can just shuffle back 2 Raizeol xyz monsters you can draw 1 without adding any cards that would hinder from drawing that non-engine. Raizeol already terrifying but just think they got 1-3 waves of support coming in after this. I'm excited because I like Raizeol but I'm sorry to tell you that when Cross-Over Breakers come out we will be in another tier 0 format. You see Ice Raizeol and Duo Drive are good enough to draw in hand traps by themselves but you have Node, Sword, Ex, and the Toy Box engine to contend with to. With the Toy Box engine even if Node is negated you can still pay Nodes cost and send Toy Soldier or Tank to grave and special summon the Toy you sent. Laplacian is generic and Raizeol Hole allows you to quick xyz. Ripping 2 cards from peoples hands or just using Laplacian to its full effect is insane to. The field spell can recycle its self so running 2 allows you to keep looping in preparation for its next destruction. One of the cards I know I will be looping is Raizeol Hole. My reason why is I'm running 2 at the moment and if I cut the 1 copy of Palma thats how I'll make room for 2 copies of Raizeol Cross. The scariest about the deck is going first your opponent can negate the card that can search it but if you open it they just have to watch you make your board.

@@chewdoom8415 People will call it tier 0 because its almost brainless to play and it will eventually take up over 50% of top cut just like Snake-Eyes did. Thats been whats dictated what the best deck has been almost every year. The strongest deck you make the fewest mistakes with. Raizeol, Apodrakosis decks, Yubel, Blue-Eyes with its new cards, and maybe Malice will probably be the only decks in the top 10 best decks after Snake-Eyes gets hit on the ban list. You've got to keep in mind that Raizeol has access to some of the strongest cards in the game. They have Dweller, Steelswarm Roach, Bagooska, Rafflesia, Laplacian because its completely generic, Draco Future in later turns or if your running the Toy Box engine, Zeus because of Raizeol Holes quick effect xyz summon, and a whole bunch of other cards.
@@jacobwoodard818 Sounds like a lot of hype to me. Raizeol is not taking up that many spots, especially with those decks you mentioned. You can work around the restriction with other engines, but that is likely not goinf to lead to much pay off or a good deck.
I expect it and the other two archetypes in the db pack to be really good after a wave or two of support. Not to mention we do not get crossover breakers until November while the banlist is happening this month. We do not even know the release date for the blue eyes structure deck in the tcg.
@@chewdoom8415 Well Yes I'm just saying that especially with the Multcharmy cards it looks a little to good not to at least be tier 1 on release. Even if you have to use Ices' normal summon to make I:P to play around D. Barrier with S:P and hand traps thats still really good. I don't know of many tier 1 decks that play through a lot of hand traps and do as much as Raizeol can.
@@jacobwoodard818 I can see it being tier 1. Biggest choke point seems to just be the xyz that adds since that's the only way to access the s/t without hard drawing. Ip to play around d barrier works if you already handtrap the opponent enough, which I can see given the room for non engine.
I think the newest multcharmy hurts a bit though. They can play around it (summon from hand twice with only one draw from summoning the xyz that pops) but I expect handtraps to become less effective with newer archetypes that are meant to meta.
Shock master can definitely come back you got mind control snatch steal COH Imperm Ghost ogre hell spooky dig wood before your opponent goes and summon 16. And you can steal and link it off for S:P or any generic link or take it for attacking your opponent then slap a zeus. Union carrier can stay ban cause of the mist thunder bird and mist valley apex an endless negate loop

Thays exactly what I've been saying Cali. Kashtira Arise-Heart is by far one of the fairest cards in the game because of the non-engine it loses to if we live in a format where cards like Colosus and Protos exist I can't see why we can't live in a format where Arise-Heart is limited. It had some unfair aspects but are you trying to tell me that just because it can be brought out from the extra deck that its just as unfair as when someone manages to normal summon Jowgen and resolve Moon Mirror Shield. With the number of other summoning mechanics we have Arise-Heart shouldn't even matter. Konami has even made efforts to lower the power of cards like Shifter by giving decks loopholes to Shifter.
Errata circular by restricting the deck to play only in mathmech extra deck mons. The archetype either dies for being broken or lives as a fun or rogue deck.

Love the points on Kashtira Arise-Heart! been saying the same argument since he was banned! It was a terrible hit, the card is very easy to interact with and very easy to stop your opponent from getting into him, if anything shifter should have been banned before Arise-Heart as he is a archetype specific card that can't be used in every deck like Shifter can be! Everybody complains about Arise-hearts mandatory affect to attach a banished card but that is also its greatest weakness as it turns Talents, Fenrir, Gamma, so much more! Also Arise-heart is a critical meta checking card so just having him in the format stops everyone from going on a tear with all these graveyard reliant decks! The format has been terrible since he was banned due to every rouge deck possible that abuses the graveyard to make insane FTK boards, plus the shift to an all hand trap format from a balance of board breakers and hand traps has been disgusting for true fans of yugioh and interactive gameplay! I would love to see the shufflers banned and Tearlaments Kitkalos come to 1 but Cali is spot on here that card is way more broken then Arise-heart! I mean add any Tear name and then send 5 cards, which can be chained blocked with Tear Kash!!! I think Chaos Space and Gamma should come back to 3 to counter all the Muchamy cards! Called by grave to 2?!
Honestly, kit is probably fine at one and when you have only 3 cards to fuse with, stopping them is easy with bystials or crow. Shufflers are fine at one.

@@HouseStarkTCG I think the only reason bystials are not popular is because they only really hurt yubel and the fiendsmith engine. Even in the case of yubel you would have to dedicate multiple side slots and they have phantom.
My only thing with solutions like that is that it is just, in the case of Kash and maybe tear, reintroducing decks that warped a format and just cater to people who want to play them.

I am sure most people would argue that snake eyes and Yubel aren’t a problem, the problem is the are the only 2 meta decks but a full power dragon link, kash, Tear decks could easily compete and make the format more enjoyable and affordable

With tear, it’s kinda cool because if you’re careful how much of each thing you allow it will always be playable but variously strong. So long as the Ishizu cards aren’t given free reign, obviously.

poplar is the snake-eye card that should be banned. It doesn't kill the deck but it does massively lower the power level.
Also ultimate offering absolutely cannot come of the list. Flu would be the defacto best deck and wouldn't be close. The amount of abusive shit flu could do with ultmiate offering on your opponents turn would be completely absurd. Halq and union carrier can also not return. Period. Halq is just too generic and too powerful and carrier promotes a myriad of problems.

My awful PoG essay and its consequences have been a disaster for Yugioh discourse.
Move Sekka's Light to 3 though, no balls. And then ban the Virus Cards and D Barrier. Also, unbanning Broad bull is insane. That card can search just about ANY beast warrior monster, so its hard to future proof. Konami will end up printing something busted that warrents banning the card again, so i'd rather we just bring back Barrage instead.

OCG those guys that never used Tear with Dangers or Runick or BASED, there's a video i believe on Joshua Schmidth channel explainig why OCG players a lot of times never find the decks we build even if they could had done it, pretty much they have a weird mindset of you need to a 100% have cards for some situations even if they are super unlikely to happen just to be safe, so their decks and side decks get bloated by cards that are useless most of the time and you could cut to innovate.

I know a lot of people call for Albion and king calamity to be hit, but I just don’t see it… they only benefit 1 deck each really and the decks they benefit are only tier 1-2… they’re also the only win conditions of those decks and both have multiple options to out them…
it just promotes unhealthy gameplay in yugioh. thats why so many toxic floodgates are banned, they are unhealthy for yugioh. it also makes it seem more dice roll dependent. and its not fun to play and not be able to special summon or activate effects and lose next turn.

That is just not true with branded. They can set up multiple disruptions. SE is not out here setting up floodgates and you acknowledge that it is tier 0. I understand that the deck is weaker in this format and has more choke points but your bias is making you act as if that is the only way the deck can win.
If you can think that those cards should not be hit but don't be so bias that you lie.

You can’t deny that without that win condition the deck is undeniably weaker and for a deck that is barely hanging on to not being rogue weakening it just doesn’t make sense… that said it’s still a 2-4 card combo to get there anyways that can be easily stopped it just doesn’t make sense to ban it when there are far more toxic options open to multiple decks. What konami needs to do is a retrain or errata of Isolde, to be archetypal lock or just warrior lock, but banning it killed all warrior decks, plus since you didnt put much incentive to the matter of isolde, Isolde isnt really a problem or a threat, its not the player who summoned Isolde at fault just because the opponent has no handtraps or response to Isolde. Like really, you copium if you say Isolde is a problem

We need to stop going after floodgates and omnis because a vast majority playing them aren't the best decks and alot of decks that control the board aren't really even playing hand traps because they are only useful in a deck that have all those 1 card starters

Edit: I originally said that I believe that you gain the normal summon when if it was co linked, but that is only important for the draw.

Mechanics to play the game in general floodgates And deck archetypes that are built around stunning, slowing the game down and introducing these obnoxious. Floodgates should also just not exist

I’ve been trying to get back in yugioh for a few months now. And it’s absolutely fucking gay. Every card fishes, every card special summons itself. Power creep has ruined the game completely… if you go first you take a year to finish your turn then completely lock people out of playing. Ban it all, the game sucks ass violently as it stands

I have no idea why this card isn't on that list, but Premature Burial should come off the banlist. Snatch Steal saw the light of day recently, while Islode is now banned. Are people really going to Main Deck Hidden Armory just for 1 card? They haven't done it with Snatch Steal so why would they with Premature? #FreePrematureBurial

Cuz most of the pot collection have once per turn properties. And if you draw into pot of greed with any of the pot collection would be too powerful going first.
Midrange decks like swordsouls and traptrix would suffer also even if their opponents are going second as they play so that they can capitalise on their opponents low starting resources.

The material requirements are already on point, the problem is that Synchro Summoning on the opponent's turn has been an important part of the mechanic practically since its inception and that his time freeze on Synchro Summon is a lot more devastating on their turn than on yours to just push Scarred through.

@@residentgrey only better with setup that you wont have on turn 1 if your opponent has any interruption at all. Pot if greed is a plain and simple draw 2 with no conditions! The fact therr is no condition or cost at all is part of why its too good to bring back. We dont need another card that's 100% manditory in every deck!
