i really enjoyed the isntree yam root toner, i think it’s the perfect milky toner for oily skin!! hopefully phytomucin gets more hype this year, snail mucin had its moment LOL
I'm almost done with my first bottle of the Vegreen serum, and it has performed beyond my expectations; it's even got a peptide blend (with copper peps!). Better for my skin than snail in every way. Pair it with the Isntree Yam Root Cream Cleanser (so good!) and profit. I just repurchased both of them. My sensitive and dehydrated skin can even take a quick wash with the Yam Root Cream Cleanser in the morning to help with the extra oil or sweat that can accrue overnight in the summer.
Love this ingredient! All of your recs sound lovely; I do have the entire Isntree yam line already and I love it too! Waiting to crack open my vegreen stuff but some samples I’ve gotten have tied me over in the mean time-such lovely textures.
Thank you for your fantastic reviews! There are so many products and it can be overwhelming and confusing to choose what could be right for me. It looks like the products in this video would be suitable for people with malassezia. Unfortunately, there are a lot of k-beauty products that contain yeast and ferments, and yeast and ferments are a nono for those of us with malassezia and/or fungal acne. Beta-glucans are confusing, because some come from oats and are ok, then there are some beta-glucans that come from yeast. Would you consider doing an episode with reviews and recommendations for people who are sensitive to ferments and yeast? Those of us with malassezia would be extremely thankful!!!😊🤗❤️
Oh, this is perfect for me. Been looking for something that really hydrates my skin from tropical humid environment like living in Florida. I don't like mucins so this is perfect for me to try... Thank you ! ❤️🌸🌹🌻
I use both the Veegreen and Cosrx Snail product (which is supposedly Cruelt Free) i cant tell much difference...will cont to use both! Thx for your enlightened reviews...Im pribably your moms age, but U cant miss a day without you❤❤
Kelly..I love your videos and respect how much you know about ingredients so please, please, please do a review of the Chogongjin line from Missha, thank you so much!!!
So glad to finally be able to watch your videos again, Kelly. I had to skip a couple lately due to serious family problems, but I'm going to catch up! 💖
I'm in love with the isntree yam root cleanser. It's way too expensive to use everyday but here i am lol i planned to use only as a morning cleanser or if i am washing too much. It definitely help fix my skin barrier along with my rnw ceramide serum. I want to try the rest of the series like the toner. But my 5 opened toners are not for it lol😅
Hey. I've the yam root cleanser as well. I thought it's a second cleanser, but when it tried it it doesn't feel cleaning at all. It's even absorbed and super few bubble (maybe not a bubble at all). Do you experience the same thing. Maybe it has something to do with me being a male (hence more oil productions on face) & live in a humid country. But I'm really not sure does this thing truly have the ability to clean my face.......
@@cryptonemat’s a cream cleanser not meant to foam it doesn’t foam with me either and it does seem to almost disappear into the skin but I promise you it is cleaning it had surfactants in it to clean your skin it just doesn’t have the bubbles were so used to that make is think it’s cleaning better ❤ I also have very oily skin it’s cleansing I promise even tho it feels like a moisturizer
@cryptonema yes i experience the same with the tiny bubbles. it definitely leaves a "film". what's good is it never leaves you stripped but i agree it can be worrisome. regarding use, It's actually quite versatile in my research. It is like semi-double cleanser like you can use as 1st step and then 2nd again(with a wet face). Its just extremely time consuming like instead of the usual 1min massages.. add another minute. I think it's more great when your skin is already super stripped already or super dehydrated. but as someone that breaks out easy and also oily, i double cleanse with another cleanser as my 2nd. I do find this yam cleanser definitely needs more time or is more time consuming to get every thing off at the end of the day so i think its more best as morning. If end of day, best to have a cleaning tool to help
I haven’t tried yet, but I had the same doubt/concern with Cerave Hydrating Cleanser because of this feeling that it’s more hydrating than cleansing. I started massaging my first and the Cerave as second for longer on my face and could then actually feel the cleansing sensation together with the hydrating film feeling. Hope this helps… :)
I didn't get a notification.😢 I recently ordered the Cosrx snail cream. It should be here tomorrow. I kinda wish I had seen this before I ordered. I might try this one also.
I think you used the wrong ingredients list for the Vegreen mucin toner. The one you listed on screen was the one that the Vegreen mucin serum has. The ingredients for the toner are these: Dioscorea Villosa (Wild Yam) Root Extract(68%), Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Panthenol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Carbomer, Arginine, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronat, Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Ethylhexylglycerin.
Hey Kelly! How do you compare Isntree Yam Root Milk Cream to Skin1004 Probio-Cica Cream? I have dry/dehidrate skin and I'm on the fence what to buy. My skin loves thicker creams, oclusivity + good amount of hydration combined togerher.
do you like this ingredient more, less, or the same as snail mucin? Out of both mucins what essense/serum would u suggest for comno sensitvie skin that is on retin-a? Or in your opinion, should i stick with what i already own: purito centella unscented serum, medhiheal bamboo serum, beauty of josean green tea and panthonal serm, and RNW ceramide plus serum?
Great question! I don't necessarily favor snail or phyto mucin but I've found snail has a more balancing/moisturizing feel whereas plant mucins seem to be more hydrating. Since my skin type fluctuates with the seasons I find myself reaching more for phyto mucin in Summer and snail in Fall/Spring. I think if you're feeling the effects of retin-a the Isntree toner or cleanser would be a great addition to what you have but otherwise I think you're good with the lovely products you currently use!
@@KellyDriscoll I am very intrigued by that! My dermatologist suggested I use a sulfur mask (since I'm still getting clogged pores/pimples even being on spironolactone + tretinoin + rx azelaic acid 🥲) but last time I used one was years ago and I was put off by the thick texture. Being able to mix with a clay mask is such a cool feature
@@drizzyadrii i would! I have already repurchased once and plan to continue buying. My skin is a bit on the oily side and i wear makeup daily so I need something a little more robust at night, but it makes a great gentle morning cleanser for me
I found Vegreen first, then Isntree, and now I’m seeing other brands coming out with phytomucins. For those of us for which snail is contraindicated (shellfish and/or dust mite allergies or intolerances, or vegetarian or vegan preferences), these products are very exciting. And I’ve become a devotee of each.
Isntree is more occlusive and I think works better for those dealing with a little more dryness. It's not a thick or buttery cream but I find the Cosrx all-in-one isn't enough for my skin as a stand alone moisturizer (I like to layer it under moisturizer or use as an eye cream though!). That would be the main performance differences, ofc if you need ceramides etc Isntree is also providing those.
The Isntree cleanser is very moisturizing so maybe not the best for oily skin but the toner would work (it's not greasy) the cream might be good as a night cream. The other brands in this video will also work for your skin type,
Hi Kelly! I love your videos, you helped me so much in finding the right products for me! Since I’ve dehydrated skin like you, I started using Make prem relief toner after your recommendation and I love it. What do you think is better for my issue: the Make prem one or the Vegreen mucin toner you’re mentioning now? ❤
Both will work but if you use toner a lot (like multiple layers AM and PM) make prem is a better deal because the bottle is like 3x what Vegreen is. Make prem lasts me about 2-3ish months but vegreen is like barely a month!
I completely agree with Kelly . After using and loving the cleanser (a repurchase) and the toner (good, may repurchase), I tried the cream. It is indeed occlusive but proved to be insufficiently moisturizing and hydrating for my dry, mature skin; no buttery feel at all and I'm now using it only as a hand cream.
@@kathleenwarner4046 thank u for ur insight! my skin also has high moisture and hydration needs, so it sounds like the cream really isn't for me. such a shame cuz my skin is also very prone to acne and i'm always on the hunt for something that won't clog my pores :P alas the search continues
My curiosity got the best of me lol and I tried the cream. I didn't like it at all and I returned it. I also think it's overpriced for what it is. I'm gonna stick with the Cosrx 🐌❤
Yam Milk is more milky and Sioris is a bit more creamy if that makes sense but Yam milk delivers more rich moisture to the skin. If you need the most moisturizing cleanser than I'd recommend Isntree.
Not sure how much of all those compliments are because it's sponsored and how much of it is really how she feels. Because of how she's hyping it up, I'm just more skeptical about it. Not that i hate her or anything, I watched some of her other videos. How does anybody else feel about this line of products?
Yes it's fine! Only concerns would be mixing pH-dependent acids together like AHA, BHA or unstable ingredients like Vitamin C or Retinoids. And even this is starting to be less of a concern as formulations become more sophisticated and most skincare is pH balanced. Also not good to mix sunscreens (layering application is ok but not mixed together before applying). Cleansers and Clay masks do not fall into these categories.
Thank you: vegan & cruelty free !! 🐰🐭❤
Mmh... a milky cleanser mixed with a clay mask: genius! I wish I'd thought of that! Thanks Kelly!
I'm obsessed with this, so refreshing but not drying!
