Despite CC not having one of her better games, this was one of the Fever's most impressive wins this season, in my opinion. The Lynx are an incredibly persistent, disciplined, and well coached team who don't take nights or plays off. Beating them really requires remaining focused and playing together as a team. Absolutely Kelsey's quick head's up steals down the stretch were incredible and much needed! Also, props to Lexie Hull and Katie Lou who both made some key quiet plays. Lexie mostly with defensive hustle and Katie Lou with timely baskets with the shot clock nearly expiring. Dantas had a couple of much needed baskets too.
Props to Boston on a dominant performance on both ends of the floor. Mitchell still dribbles the ball too much but she came through in the clutch today.

Spot on. Mitchell is the right amount of chaos on the court and actually compliments CC’s game. She’s improved from the first half of the season when she was just a glorified Harlem Globetrotter who’d rather end with a missed layup than an assist. But when you add Wheeler to the mix and have her out there with Mitchell, that’s way too much chaos, because then there’s no cohesion or consistency. It’s like two free radicals throwing wrenches into everything. Wheeler is the problem. She needs to be released. She adds absolutely nothing, and actually you can depend on her helping to lose a lead every time she’s in. And Sides needs to go. She has no idea how to play CC. The Fever win in spite of Christie Sides.

Coach Sides, allowing Caitlin Clark to push the offense, makes the Fever the most explosive offense in the league. No team in the league knows how to stop it. Don’t got back to the slow pace, feed the post plan that was disastrous early in the season. Have some faith in Caitlin’s vision and the Fever will be successful beyond all expectations.
Sides knows how the team will play the best. But that will have the effect of CC having great stats and she will not let that happen. It’s such a back stab.

CC struggled because Sides slow the game down that took her out of her comfort zone. It was putting me to sleep so I turn the channel to the tennis finals so I could see the athlete and ball actually move across the court. Thank God took it back up in the 4 th 'so Sides didn't lose another one for them.
This is the best post-game press conference I've heard Coach Sides do this year. She talked about specific things that happened in the game. That's really good. I'd like to see her post-game press conferences be more like Nate Tibbetts walking through the events of the game, being specific about what worked and what didn't. Today's press conference was a good step in that direction. Another nice change was that Coach Sides acknowledged Aliyah's career high rebounding milestone, and Caitlin's passing Sue Bird's assist record. In the past, it always seemed like Coach Sides was throwing her players under the bus. Coach Sides also did NOT recite the tired old tropes of "figure it out", "they're young", "youngest team in the league", "they're learning". Thank goodness! I was growing quite weary of that meaningless drivel. I am disappointed that Coach Sides didn't praise Caitlin for winning 2 Espy awards. I realize both awards were based on Caitlin's college accomplishments, but acknowledgement still would have been nice.
Love how coach says Alijah struggled early. She came to camp out of shape. First game she played with CC; she got hit in the back of her head three times. She is finally getting use to how good a passer CC is. CC is going to throw the pass, if they don't catch it, she will continue to throw that pass.
With this break coming up and all that time to practice, it wouldn't surprise me to see them playing like champs. First, make the playoffs. But if they make the playoffs they absolutely should believe they can beat anyone.

As we have seen recently on other teams, there is nothing inherent in a double-double that means a player was productive. That is exactly what Sides big idea is, to use the All-Time Women's College Basketball Scorer Caitlin Clark as a decoy. CC can only draw the other team's attention when she has the basketball not without it. Now that's horrible coaching.
coach plan was for slow ball, slow boring ball... lucky they won... clark should ask for a trade the if not fever management should just trade her for a player that fits their system she is not it.
It would be interesting to see Clark's splits on games where she has less than 48 hours rest vs. games where she has more than that. I have noticed she shoots poorly when she has less than 48 hours rest. It makes sense as she plays nearly the whole game. In the offseason she can work on 1) endurance / strength, 2) mid-range jump shot, and 3) defense. If she can get better in those three areas, she can be an MVP candidate.

I love watching these 3 girls play and some of the chemisty they have with other girls on the team. Boston is one of the hardest players to stop in the entire WNBA

happy for this whole team, love watching CC play and the reason I am watching WNBA games but one player can't do it all and CC understands that and the rest of the team are all coming together and I am also glad for coach, she was about to get fired a couple of weeks ago but now I think she is in a very good place. This was a great win for the Fever because so many great contributions from so many players. Glad to see this team grow.
Sides has told CC to slow down, which takes her out of her best game and we saw the results for the first three quarters, she couldn't get into rhythm, she couldn't do the shock and awe passing that catches the defense off guard.
I think CC, fever and coach were started the season with find tune the rhythm........ after few games, seems they got the rhythm.....everybody trust each others and they play as a team, together for wins....no selfish play. awesome. Hey, some of ya'll haters need to cut it out with the "fire the coach" stuff. This is the Fever channel. Not cool to be shading the coach on the channel, especially when they won. That's disrespectful to her, the players, and the organization. Shout out to AB for a great game, Kelsey for her strong scoring (as usual), and CC for sticking it out and delivering in the fourth quarter. And thanks Coach Sides for all you have done to build this team this year. It's been excellent watching all the improvement and team-building.
I watched CC for 3 years at Iowa. Her stardom under Bluder captured the country. She hit these wide open shots, she’s missing now. Why? Sides just can’t coach & bring out the best of this teams talent. Fever needs a veteran coach. With Sides they will always be mediocre. Can’t even hold a 31 point lead.
Out of the gate some of the worst coaching I've ever seen. She could have gotten into a split action that would have had moved the ball quickly around the Lynx amazing defensive rotations but no.... All we saw was plodding 90's set actions where modern players look like robots. Here's a mantra for the modern game. If You're Not Moving You're Losing! Terrible coaching! Glad they won anyway!
Props to Clark for not being deterred when her shots didn't fall. I'm glad that she got a few assists and scored in the 4thQ to help get the win.

With this break coming up and all that time to practice, it wouldn't surprise me to see them playing like champs. First, make the playoffs. But if they make the playoffs they absolutely should believe they can beat anyone.

Fact is that collage basket have caught up to the league and half the players in the league could be replaced with rookies. Also a team of rookies from 2022 to 2024 would destroy any team with all the current solid vets you can muster. WNBA is changing from a hobby sport to full on professional, and its happening fast. Now we just need top coaches to catch up!

Great job, everyone! But please, for the love of God, can the media please stop talking about double-doubles?? As we have seen recently on other teams, there is nothing inherent in a double-double that means a player was productive. Also, it leads to arbitrary stat chasing that is not conducive to winning team basketball.

@@rosildosantos333 1st.- This is very simple CC is a true point guard and when you take the basketball away from her you have no one else in the team to fill her shoes. 2nd.- The starting lineup after 20 + games a coach knows what works and how to sub the player from the bench, who works well with who. 3rd.- If you can't see it, I can't help you.

It would be interesting to see Clark's splits on games where she has less than 48 hours rest vs. games where she has more than that. I have noticed she shoots poorly when she has less than 48 hours rest. It makes sense as she plays nearly the whole game. In the offseason she can work on 1) endurance / strength, 2) mid-range jump shot, and 3) defense. If she can get better in those three areas, she can be an MVP candidate.

Caitlin is always classy and gracious to the opposing teams. She gives credit where it is due without taking anything away from her teammates.
happy for this whole team, love watching CC play and the reason I am watching WNBA games but one player can't do it all and CC understands that and the rest of the team are all coming together and I am also glad for coach, she was about to get fired a couple of weeks ago but now I think she is in a very good place. This was a great win for the Fever because so many great contributions from so many players. Glad to see this team grow.

Sides has told CC to slow down, which takes her out of her best game and we saw the results for the first three quarters, she couldn't get into rhythm, she couldn't do the shock and awe passing that catches the defense off guard.

I think CC, fever and coach were started the season with find tune the rhythm........ after few games, seems they got the rhythm.....everybody trust each others and they play as a team, together for wins....no selfish play. awesome. They growth become better and better. It is very fun and interesting to watch every Fever games

Hey, some of ya'll haters need to cut it out with the "fire the coach" stuff. This is the Fever channel. Not cool to be shading the coach on the channel, especially when they won. That's disrespectful to her, the players, and the organization. Shout out to AB for a great game, Kelsey for her strong scoring (as usual), and CC for sticking it out and delivering in the fourth quarter. And thanks Coach Sides for all you have done to build this team this year. It's been excellent watching all the improvement and team-building.

I watched CC for 3 years at Iowa. Her stardom under Bluder captured the country. She hit these wide open shots, she’s missing now. Why? Sides just can’t coach & bring out the best of this teams talent. Fever needs a veteran coach. With Sides they will always be mediocre. Can’t even hold a 31 point lead.
Out of the gate some of the worst coaching I've ever seen. She could have gotten into a split action that would have had moved the ball quickly around the Lynx amazing defensive rotations but no.... All we saw was plodding 90's set actions where modern players look like robots. Here's a mantra for the modern game. If You're Not Moving You're Losing! Terrible coaching! Glad they won anyway!
