It's funny how I first caught these guys on American TV. On the cable network, Cartoon Network, I first saw both of them on the Adult Swim Nightblock (after 1:00 AM). I caught Richard on Garth Margenghi's Dark Place and Noel on The Mighty Boosh. Then, I saw both of them online on The IT Crowd. Both very unique in the UK and there is NOBODY like either of them outside of the UK, PERIOD... I'd say I haven't seen people this unique since probably Andy Kaufman but they're nowhere near as abrasive as he could be. Kaufman really turned off a lot of people in the States with his antics.
Richard and Noel make a good duo on this series. Noel doesn't even give a crap what he puts on, what he wears. He can turn something strange to something really funny, like that urinator when hes swinging it around at the ladies 😂
A few years ago - as a joke, I brought my brother that shirt folding device as a housewarming gift. He uses it religiously and thinks it is the next best since sliced bread.
"i just used my head to have a thought." this episode has to be one of the funniest EVER! this epi. also proves/ illustrates profusely why Richard and Noel are Bright, Beloved Stars of the comedic kind....cryingly hilarious!
Why do I feel like this is a normal occurrence at South End? Also can we just appreciate that Richard and Noel are one of the best comedy duos on the planet.
What we need now is Stay at Home Man or Staycation Man, where Richard just stays home, finds interesting things to do to alleviate boredom, creates staycation themes for different days or to get that traveling feel without the travel hassle, have his mates over, or for the love of God, at least get Noel, and just chat and hang out. It's a niche that's never been done and frankly the awkward to semi-awkward introvert's dream. And if anyone could do one better than just make it work, it's Richard Ayoade. (He basically has a head start with that whole "build the sun" idea. Now go all in!)

After re-watching The Mighty Boosh 10 times over I am relieved to see some fresh Noel content, even better he act's the same way he did in the Boosh hahah
The BBQ Donut is unique. However, all I could imagine is someone climbing in and because it's moving, lose their balance and some body part ending up on that grill. Although I assume that usually you're not grilling until you get out to sea, the premise is the same. It should have some sort of raised wall someone inside it can push a button for and it temporarily offers a shield until everyone is seated comfortably.
It pains me a little that everyone’s first thought when they see Richard and Noel is Moss and Richmond. It’s almost like none of you have ever been to The Crunch! 😂
