Thank You so much for clearly explaining this, really appreciate it 👍🏻 I’m building a very unique engine set up, building in a lot of system redundancy to avoid breakdown, and rebuilding coolant, electrical, and exhaust systems into the engine bay before the engine install
I have been running my 12 valve in my old 93 Chevy for years without a grid heater. No issues, when it gets very cold I plug it in. It was an always wanted to do project to hook up the grid heater.
I am trying to put an Allison transmission behind a 12-valve Cummings in the 2500 Dodge what is my wiring diagram look like to connect them together and make it work
Hey Rico I’m having trouble with a 47 international I put a motor from a 95 3500 2wd. Seeing if maybe I could get ahold of you to give me a rundown of how you successfully did yours I’ve watched your videos and I’m still struggling. Thank you!
I am still having a parasitic drain from my Radio circuit in my 2005 Ram/Cummins, Unhook radio. Drain load is still there. Can you tell me, "What else is on that circuit?"
Technically you don't need either one to fire it up it will run without the grid heater and if you're just looking to fire it up you can wire open the fuel shut off with a zip tie or something like that But as far as running in the truck you need power to the fuel shut off solenoid the grid heater if you live somewhere cold and some kind of charging system that's pretty much it the 12 valve is a very simple mechanical engine Thanks for watching and I hope this helps you out
Rico of course I'm getting no bus. Also no current to starter when I hit the key. I'm going to go with a push button and I already have pull cord on fuel sol . Would I need to transplant pcm from 96 truck to 2001 or are they compatible.
Quick question you mentioned two fan relays.....I’m thinking you are meaning something other than the cooling fans, correct? On my project vehicle I’m building in the general infrastructure, so cooling fans and everything are already wired up through thermostat relays in the piping. So at the risk of sounding like a rookie, please clarify what fans one and two are.......Thank You 👍🏻
@@RicosGarage ok thanks, that’s perfect, I’m also using one large fan “pulling” heat out of the engine bay only......and as unusual as it sounds two full size radiators, built into the sides with one cooling fan each “pulling” outside cool air in....each cooling system operates independently of each other, but share an upper and lower pipe, into the engine and the first coolant system to be in operation will cancel the other for the duration of its cooling cycle. It sounds more complicated than it actually is. This is one of two modular power plants I’m starting to build....basically if you can imagine a vehicle body , and the entire rear section wheels and all, can be removed, and swapped in with another in about 20-30 minutes
I have a 1998 dodge ram Cummins diesel 5.924 valve the batteries are not charging the voltage regulator in the computer not working so I installed an external voltage regulator and the batteries are charging fine but the transmission is not shifting I like your old school wiring method I’m just trying to figure out how to make the transmission shift I know it’s right there it’s just a little baffling to me after watching your video maybe you could help me some direction because I don’t have hundreds of dollars for a new computer thank you Peter
This man is so underrated thank you so much

I rarely use it. But it's nice to have the grid heater when it's real cold.
I like the whistling diesel shirt🤘
A lot of people don't like him. But I enjoy watching his videos
Great video, THANKS!!
Thanks!

Can you make a video about a 07 common rail swap in a c30 squarebody chevy

I have a 86 3x3 k30 I did a 12 v swap to a 4L80e it won’t shift can you help transmission is bran new
How did you do the tachometer wiring thanks
Still working on a solution for the tach.
I'll post when I figure it out

Hey man I'm curious. What did you do to make your guages work? Like coolant temp, alternator? Thanks for your videos they are helping me tremendously
Nevermind I'm a dummy lol I just seen the guage video
Hey no problem. Glad to help out. Thanks for watching!
yes please make another video with more specifics
Where/What is the best source for wiring a 6.7 Cummins in an 08-10 F250?
Thanks
I'm not sure. I haven't had experience with a Ford swap that year.
Sorry
@RICO'S GARAGE what about a 89 f150 5 speed swap I'm wanting to put a spare 24v in my 89f150 any experience with something similar?
I love your diagram...... you are a Michael Angelo
3rd grade artwork.
But it serves the purpose 🙂
How did you wire the starter in ?
By using the factory big block starter wiring. Purple wire goes to small terminal on starter. Large terminal gets positive battery cable.

I have 2 pusher fans mounted in front of the radiator in lieu of a mechanical fan

Were are you located would you be interested taking on another project
I'm in Indiana. Currently I don't have time for any other projects. Sorry

Why not just do a complete swap from the donor truck with the pcm?
Whatta bout a Ford f350???
