- I edited a full length version of this ferry trip from Cebu City to Manila for myself to look at for the memories but I felt that I should do another shorter version for the benefit of people interested in knowing about this 2GO ferry.

I am glad to see the progress of Ro-Ro travel in the Philippines Compared to previous 60 years with floating rust coffins (Record Maritime Mortality ) .now appear to be far safer .. Keep up with the good work.
2015 was my last travel from manila to cebu. Speed 15 knts or more not bad. Delayed schedule of departure is one of the downside. But i enjoyed my travel. Nice vid mate.

Thanks 4 ur sharing nice shots videos, I noticed while departing @Cebu Port, the water is so clear and no garbage, it’s reverse... upon arrived in Manila Port the water color black and a lot of garbage & sh....f floating.lol...

Thank you for your video sir. I enjoy watching it. I like taking boat rides from different islands of the Philippines myself even if I can afford to ride on a plane. It's just a whole different experience, and I get to bond with friends and family on board.
Yes I agree with you. I enjoy very much taking bangkas, ferries, jeepneys and tricycles etc in the Philippines.

Thats a nice adventure in my teenage, from ormoc direct to manila. It takes 2 nights sleeping in the ship.nice sight seeing, sorrounded ocean water... VPO.. TY!

yeah... it's just so great to reminisce... when i was small, plane fare was still sky rocket... we always take the negros navigation ship... nakakamis din tlga...
I love your video. I love travelling on large ferries. I see this one carries a lot of containers. New Zealand is the only country one I know of that carries rail cars on the ferry. The Inter Island Ferry does not have any cabins as the journey lasts on 3 hours. Locomotives only go on the ferry if they need heavy engineering on the North Island which is not available on the South Island. The railroad has their major locomotive workshop in Wellington NZ. One thing I like too is that the English language is used mainly on this ferry. I live in Sydney Australia.

Cebu port is huge area wise. But I don't see the very many huge cranes on the piers. Nice video ... very informative.
Because this one is not the port for container cargoes.
Damn this throws me back to my childhood, we used to ride with Sulpicio and rarely with this company since it’s expensive but you get to arrive alive LOL and it’s much crowded back then since budget airline didn’t exist yet.
Its so exciting to ride a ship again the smell of fresh ocean air ,the sound of waves aand different machinery of ship ,the tracktors the chipping hammer and lots more i was amazed and gaze the life at working on ship the travel and adventure it was awesome and very nice

@@TrainLordJC The ship looks spacious and comfortable for the passengers. I've tried only the short trip Cebu-Bohol when I was a kid. It was a small boat and cramped.
I've tried the catamaran here in Long Beach to Catalina Island. But no big ships like 2GO.

The hammering sound came from welders when they're cleaning the welding flux in their workpiece...removing of major rust only happens every 5 years when the ship's dry dock time according to SOLAS/Safety of Life at Sea regulation.
I disagree. They were hammering at rust on the ship. It went on continuously for a long time. I worked on the barges of the Rhine River and I did quite a bit of hammering of rust.

Nakakamiss ng sumakay ng barko. Last na sakay ko ng barko ay nung 2007 pa ata yun, bago lumubog yung Princess of the Stars. Mula bata ako nakasanayan ko ng sumakay ng barko taon taon pag namamasyal sa manila. From 1990-2007 ahahah kaso mas mura na ang pamasahe sa eroplano ehh kaya ayun.

Thanks for sharing 'Train Lord'. That is a "massive" ship in Philippine standards, but really pales in comparison with its western counterparts. However, it's a giant leap in maritime standards if compared to the 90's (I was in college then, boarding ships to attend school in another island). At that time, some wind gusts would cause listing of the ship to a degree, and it gets tossed like a rag doll in medium waves. Just imagine if waves were above 3 meters high.....LOL! Barf bags were a necessity then. Sea travelers are luckier these days as the ships has increased in size dramatically.

I used my Samsung S10 plus mobile phone and on most occasions I had it connected to my gimbal. I enjoyed the trip, being at sea, especially with these calm conditions, passing islands and entering Manila Bay was very interesting.

Your room was exactly my room when I aboard this vessel couple of years ago. Just saying cuz I kinda miss this one.
Next time we will take the suite with more space and views over the front of the ship. I hope that we can get back to the Philippines soon, double vaxed and freedom to travel again.

1997 i work on that formerly superferry12 i work for 4month on that manila/cebu as a chief engineer i like the ship the have 3 main engine V 6 uet mitshubisi and the transfer me in superferry 5 after 4 month i quite due to to salary is not enough to suport my family only 68,000 peso only igo back to international

I cant imagine myself going to Manila on a ship. Takes 2 days to get there were I can just ride a plane and arrive in Manila within an hour from Cebu. Those trash though. It is sad to see that humans dont give a damn about the sea.
