I had a buddy tell me while I was in active addiction, he said, “keep busy! Go running! Run everywhere you go! Run everyday! Just don’t pick up any drugs!” I said, “Dude, people are gonna think I’m crazy if I run everywhere.” He said, “LET THEM think you’re crazy!” Bas is the definition of “LET THEM think you’re crazy!”
This man got accepted to the UFC, hung up the phone and excitedly shadow boxed the person standing next to him, which was me. I’m taller than him but when he crouched into fight stance and started throwing all I could see was forehead and punches coming from under forehead somewhere. I was amazed how what a small area the punches came from and how he didn’t seem close enough but in the short flight time of the punch, his knux where already at my nose. And yes, he made sound fx for the punches.
Bruce Lee said to hang a paper target from the ceiling on a string at face level (I used an index card) and practice finger jabs, punches and kicks. It's a very good tool for speed and accuracy, requiring a different input than hitting a bag or mitts, thus training a different skill set.
Who knew that restlessness can also be a symptom of ADHD, or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Other symptoms of ADHD include: Fidgeting Needing to move around Difficulty enjoying quiet time Always being "on the go" Difficulty waiting your turn Being called "hyperactive". If you have all these things about you, then you must become a badass fighter.
If you want to Aim, try the Boxing Slip bag, go south paw, reverse direction, and parry your head with different drills. This has to work no matter whom.
Dude…. Literally i used to use fishing string and the old school clock in cards (shaped like a little rectangle) and learned it from Bruce Lee workouts.
You have to learn to calm the adrenalin, you can do this within a few fights. Even when you lose it's enjoyable still to this day no idea why I love Muay Thai, only picked it up at the late age of 38 lol
For a moving adversary you work on your footwork and ringcraft, learning how to cut off your opponent with feints, and closing the distance, or if the opponent is pressuring you, use evasive movement instead. Bas mentioned all of this in his big dvds of combat. But here he is just trying to answer the question on improving accuracy in your punches. This is the ring strategy video, applies to the cage as well, but it's all about cutting your opponent off or evading him. th-cam.com/video/LkC-g2DVJYo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LHI0cWCOwYO_TiFG
the rope is gonna move when you punch the post it. Since it's thin and long, it will be less predicable than a tape cross on the heavybag, which you can do also.
Bas doesn't punch, he ding dangs
Bings and bongs as well
bing bang boom
LOL… nice one! Bing, Bing, Vwoom, Ughhh, Splat 😆 😂 🤣Gotta love Bas. The man comes with his own soundtrack for “Ass Kicking”
A dingada dingada
“Don’t you ever do thattt” 😂
So you're in your car and look over out the side window and see Bas looking like he's beating up his car into driving for him
This man is such a legend.
💯❤️
I like the punching between the spokes of the steering wheel drill. I can totally see Bas doing that in traffic. Maybe at full speed, too.
Remember: Always throw with 100% 😆
I love Bas but that’s a moronic thing to do
man that is just stupid tbh xD love bas Rutten, but that is just moronic behavior
That's really stupid, actually.
@@BobRoss-wm3lc depends who does it

When bro said he punches thru the grips on the steering wheel 😳

Quick question why do all yall try to sound the same. Like it's a bad thing to have your own lingo

Laser sights attached to the new ufc gloves
This is gold! 🐐
Cool video. Respect
thanks for sharing
Great 👍🏼 advice
Bas also hung post-it notes around the house at waist high level.....the drawing on those notes looked eerily like livers.
I uttered the words 'ask Bass Ruten' while watching another fight video yesterday, and this video popped up on my reccomended this morning 🤔 😂.
I started getting khaby lame videos after I told my wife Alex pererria hit the khaby lame meme after his ko at ufc 300.
Thanks uncle Bas!
Aim your bing right at his bong. Then deliver him a Bing Bong Combo

I used to throw little punches in the car but cracked the windshield. Worst part it was my gf’s car.
It will be the best part when you break up with your girlfriend.

Always thought he was against fist punching and was keen on more of an open palm technique especially in a street fight 😅
Enter Shaolin is all about Forward Programming, but what is greatfulness of Backward Programming.
Max was here
Is it me or does his head looks extra pointy? Love you bas rutten
bas could be making this all up on the spot and i'd still believe every word and start practicing this way lol

I love traning in my car!
but what about when you're hitting a moving adversary .. surely that is the point of the question

Tell me you have ADHD, without telling me you have ADHD.
Punching through the gap in the steering wheel sealed it for me lol!
He was a pro fighter.
He invented ways to fight.
I don't consider that add.
