Great video! We have a 05 KLX110 and my son wants more power, esp bottom end. Is a big bore kit worth it or should we just go with a Pirahna 140 for $2300? Thanks
Would anyone recommend putting a 178cc big bore on a KLX 110 becuase I know there is not a lot of those kits out and I was wondering if I should just go with that or a 143cc
Eric Spano I have to agree. I weigh 200 LBS and my KLX pulls me around with ease. First gear is almost unusable. Now a 178 kit with taller gearing could be a lot of fun but the problem is that the bike isn't designed for that kind of power. Might end up breaking other components such as the transmission.
Moose Milk I'm not sure on that question. I installed a 26mm Mikuni when I installed the big bore kit. Stock carb is an 18mm Keihn. I had to jet my 26mm Mikuni a bit as well. It is possible that the stocker carb would work with jetting but I have no experience with that.
Note that at 8:10 when he “found” tdc, he didn’t have the cam sprocket bolted to the cam shaft, so it just turned the sprocket not the shaft.

TB 143 kit is more than enough power for most

crazyskullcrusha what about the clutch is it stock or what
I'm assuming you can just rejet the existing carb, not buy a new one?

Do I need a clutch or will it be fine
Dylan Westbrooks You don't need a clutch. Your bike should already be equipped with one.
