As someone who has owned multiple OLEDs, I still come back to the Sony Bravia 9 for gaming. The picture quality in both HDR and SDR is just insane. There is so much pop to everything. I'm surprised you didn't mention it here.
There’s a $5,360 difference between the 85” and the 98” QN90D. That’s a cost of $412 per additional inch - as opposed to $40 per additional inch between the 75” and the 85”. Seems like highway robbery for the 98”. I’m going to stick with my 77” LG CX OLED for my PS5 Pro; it’s still a damn good display for the mid-gen refresh. I’m not losing any upgrades or features. @@jimbodavis1944 the biggest factors when you go over 85" TVs is first, getting to that whole different tier of shipping and handling costs for the manufacturer and the retailers, and then, the limited supply compared to smaller SKUs that forces them to have a bigger return per TV sold. How it gets solved? With time, every time manufacturers go a bigger size with their TVs, it takes time for everyone else to catch up including consumers, once people start buying TVs above 85", they’ll get cheaper
I have it and the pixel dithering LG uses for always on image processing, even in game mode, it's a major dissapointment from LG. Sure, those who game from couch distance, don't care about, but PC gamers that have G4 as a monitor, will find the dithering plain horriible.Don't know if Samsung still has issues with one connect box in 4k HDR. If that is fixed, I would choose Samsung s95d as best gaming TV as of now.
Just Keeping my 1200 Model Carnage PS5 DISC Edition with 65-inch C3. C4 would be my Choice if I was looking for a TV. But Im settled with my C3 for a LONG while. The PS5 Pro just isn't in any way worth the price and not worth giving Sony a penny for. So the Pro is a NO GO for me..
I was forced to upgrade my tv because my Sony X900H died a week or 2 before the Pro released🤬😭 I did my research and I got the 55" LG B4 to pair with my PRO. Its my 1st OLED but I can already tell the picture quality is superior to my Sony and I haven't touched any of the picture settings yet💯
I had the X900E… I think the model before that I JUST sold. Great tv for dark rooms but I moved to a condo with floor to ceiling windows and couldn’t see anything during the day on it. I wanted to get another Sony but it seems they aren’t as a good as others and cost way more now.
Will you be doing an updated review of the QM8 like rtings plan to when the QM8 receives the update in December that will bring performance improvements in upscaling and EOTF tracking inline with the QM7?

The U9N is now on sale for the first time. Would you personally choose the U9N over the TCL QM8? At the same size, does the TCL and Hisense have the same/similar number of dimming zones?
It depends on your priorities. U9N has better natural colors and shadow details with brighter sports/gaming but QM8 has better tone mapping of HDR content over 1000 nits and better contrast - I’d choose QM8 for gaming
@stopthefomo Is it because the U9N has a much lower native contrast because of its IPS like panel? Would you say the blacks are much darker on the QM8?
For you european customers, don't fall in the S90D trap. Only the 65" is QD. Unfortunately, in any other size we're stuck with the matte S95D. Next year guys, next year.
Just ordered s90d 77" on Amazon for my Dad's 50th birthday. He's been having a 60 inch old lg led tv...he definitely wouldn't approve if he heard the price tag but turning 50 is deserving to be spoiled 😜. It'll be interesting to see how it stacks up to my now old lg c1 65 ". I only went with Amazon because they offer 5 monthly payments no interest
The TCL is BAD. The actual PQ goes down with VRR (as well as game mode), HDR + VRR don't work together, all sorts of options don't work together, etc. The only reason one should buy it is when it's half the price vs f.ex. Bravia 7 and specifically for 120 hz + HDR, otherwise it makes no sense. Even my Sony XF90 before it died was strictly superior for gaming HDR. Source: Me, I have it.

Man, i trade a lg c1 55" for the samsung s90d. Every oled is fantastic, ,but the s90d is something else. At first i had the same doubt you have, but now i see tli made a very good upgrade. The colors are way better, and the extra nits makes a huge difference in hdr content in my opinion.
Hey FOMO, thanks for the video! Struggling to decide between the LG G4 and Samsung S90D. Will probably be used for 50% streaming, 30% sports, and 20% gaming in terms of time spent, but each are as important as the other at the same time. What would you go with? My only concern with the S90D is any alleged Samsung motion issues, but I'm unsure if that's even any bit present on the S90D.
Had the S90D 77in myself but it died after 3 weeks of light use. Bought it from costco so not much of an issue returning it. I am now deciding if I want the 77 in LG G4 or the 65 in LG G4 and I am about 6 ft away from the screen but the price difference between the 65 and 77 in for that tv is pretty steep.

Regardless of your choice the PS5 Pro doesn’t have the horse power to drive those amazing TV’s. It’s like putting a Toyota Prius engine in a Lamborghini.
The S95D still blows me away after 6 months of owning one. The colors and tonemappong, holy cow.. I was going to get a other TV this year with my S90C and S95D, but i think ill skip a year and watching my favorite TV reviewers (FOMO, Brian and KG)
It’s still the best overall but obviously bright glare introduces issues so for bright rooms some may prefer the G4 but the matte screen is a non factor in light controlled rooms

Samsung Game Motion Plus is good enough for me to use in almost all games, even on PC.
I bought the TCL QM7 last week and am very well pleased with it. It is simply amazing.

Unlikely mostly because I'll be getting excited about the 2025 QM8 which is a huge jump up in performance next year with the new WHVA panel.

I’m stuck between the 77” A95L and 85” B9. Mainly watch movies with little gaming. Room is medium brightness.

Get a C4 or G4 if you actually want an accurate tv. The game mode on the S90D is not accurate at all.

If you plan on doing streaming go LG for sure because Samsung upscaling is terrible compared to LG and Sony.
Get the LG G4 because the sports on G4 plus streaming quality is awesome and then there's the 5 year warranty unique to theG4

Gaming mostly bedroom 48inch b4 600$ or 1300 for 65 inch s90 or c4 1500$ hard choices which be smoothest input lag gaming and is it worth price gap
65" S90D is larger, brighter and I like its image quality better but if you're sitting 5 ft away then the 48" is absolutely fine to save money!

This is exactly why you buy it off Costco they got 5 years warranty so you don’t get scammed by Samsungs 1 year warranty
Get a 77in C4. You really don’t need the extra brightness of the G.

S90D really is the sweet spot for best overall TV, and I’m talking about the QD OLED ones
How you can recommend s95d with matte finish as the best option is beyond me…..
