also came to say this, ive followed a few other fuji shooters that changed and it sucks because only reason I followed them is because I also shoot fuji
XT5 user here! I actually picked up xt5 because of you and Roman. Sad to see Roman leave the Fuji ecosystem but I respect his choice and I do believe camera are not the key factor. However it will be a lie to say I don’t care about what camera I use. I love xt5, it’s color science is much to my taste, so I’m glad you are still in the Fuji game!
I agree with all your choices. 16mm 1.4, 35mm 1.4 and OG 56mm 1.4 I'm not only the best bang for your buck at the moment on the used market but also just my favourite rendering on this camera system. I seriously love these lenses.
What a relief you did not join TH-cam's " Leica Crew"! They always upgrade their gears instead of upgrading their vision. Watching your videos, you look like a visionary guy. Have a meaningful 2025!
As always, you’re the most humble TH-camr out there. It’s interesting to see that you’ve warmed to the X100VI, since in your initial video you weren’t entirely convinced.
What do you think about the AF ? I was about to buy an XT-5 until i heard AF has issues in low light and eye tracking, so i'm hesitating now with Sony, but I'm very interested in Fuji's colours and film simulations. What do you think?
Always such a nice vibe in the stuff you post : What camera was this filmed on? And did you use own LUTs to color grade the video? I purchased your presets and loving them so far, are you planning to release a similar vibe for video? xA
you should try some manual lenses from Voigtlander like 27mm f2 or 23/35mm f1.2.Magic rendering.i actually sold my Fuji 35mm f1.4 for Nokton 35mm F1.2 ,but the best is Ultron 27
And Eren. I bought your preset package. I could never see the effect on you when I applied it to my photos. And I said to you, these are not the ones you use. So you refunded me and said no problem. As time passed and I learned to take and edit photos, my results started to get closer to you. I apologize to you for this. I did not see my own mistake and found you responsible. I really thank you and I apologize. I feel like a fraud about this :) I wanted you to know about this. If you happen to visit Antalya, Turkey one day, I would like to host you or buy you a coffee. Thank you for your inspiration. I wish the best for you. You are best in the world.
Really appreciate your honesty with this, I'm so happy the presets are useful to you! Thank you. ... And Antalya sounds perfect at this time of the year 🌞
An expensive pen might not give you better penmanship, but if you are trying to do sidewalk art, a cheap piece of chalk will work better than a Montblanc fountain pen. It's about the right tool for the job. Cameras are exactly the same. A camera with slow AF and low FPS will not do as well as one with those features for something like auto sports or other fast moving genres. And then you need to factor in the lenses. It's more about what you shoot and the features your camera has than it is about price. But camera gear DOES matter. I hate when people say "it's not the camera - it's the photographer". Yes, that is true when all things are equal, but to get equal, you need to have the right tools. And sometimes those tools are more expensive. Not always (I can think of plenty of examples), but sometimes $$$ matters.
They will look very close to each other, I think the X100vi's lens is probably technically better than the 23f2 - but I struggle to see much of a difference
Isn't the WR version of 56mm just better for you? Looking at your instagram, it seems you shoot at night in rain quite often. It is more expensive, but I'd say the art you create justifies splurging a bit more.
Happy to see you’re not jumping on the switch brand trend for subs. Changing for video, clear choice (Fuji is sadly not on par with competition).
🙏🏼🙏🏼 On the photo front I still feel fuji is up there with the best, the AF needs work though
also came to say this, ive followed a few other fuji shooters that changed and it sucks because only reason I followed them is because I also shoot fuji
Big fan eren ! It’s a great comfort to me that most of the lenses I use are the same as yours ! Helps me feel less GAS 😂
Happy new year !
😄 Happy New Year!
Fantastic setup and gear, wish you successful 2025!
Thank you bro 🙏🏻 hope you have a great year
Love your work Eren! Wish you the best for 2025
Thank you! 🙏🏼
あなたの使用している機材は本当に素晴らしいです。
Thank you!

and a small question, why choose 35f1.4 but not the newer 33f
1.4?
I prefer the slightly softer look from the 35 but the 33 is also a great lens

Totally agree and yep, big bargains to be had with these lenses on the used market
Good vibes going on Eren. May 2025 be a fruitful years for you.
Huge thanks for the support! Hope you have a great 2025 🙏🏼

Huge thanks! I probably came across more negative than intended on that episode 😄 can pretty much use the x100 ofr everything
@@erenjam what about the shutter sound being so quiet? is it still a thing you think about?
Cheers and thanks to you! Looking forward to what you have in store for 2025.
Huge thanks 🙏🏻 hope you have a great year 🍻
You are the best! Thanks Eren.
Thank you!
Always sit through all your videos, love how you put them together. 👍
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Keep it up. You and your work absolutely rocks!
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
👍👍 for the bessa R3A. The R2M is my favourite camera all time.
🙏🏼 Looking forward to using the Bessa this year
It’s going to be a great year 👏🏼
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙏🏻
I wish I knew how you colour grade in Davinci! Your footage always looks stunning!
Thank yoU! will have an episode on this coming early Feb
do you use some effect to get this particular "noise" in ur video, or are you just recording with a high ISO value?
The grain is added in post
Very informative and interesting 💯
Thank you! 🐌❤️
would you take the 35 1.4 over the 35 2.0?
I prefer the 1.4 however, the f2 is more versatile, smaller and has WR - both great lenses
Great work!
🙏🏼🙏🏼 thank you
Is dust on the lens really not a problem? Won't it affect the image quality?
Will make little to no difference for street, I do clean them if I'm doing product / portraits though
You should also consider the Nikon Z6iii for video! I use it for photo and video (as a former Fuji guy) and I LOVE it
I'll check it out 🙏🏼
Have you tried a Leica q? Would you still prefer the x100vi over the q's for your style of photography?
Briefly, really liked it but I think I'd worry about breaking it too much 😄
What do you think about the AF ? I was about to buy an XT-5 until i heard AF has issues in low light and eye tracking, so i'm hesitating now with Sony, but I'm very interested in Fuji's colours and film simulations. What do you think?
For what I shoot it's fine, but if you're shooting fast moving subjects e.g. sports or wildlife, Sony is probably the better option
@ do you sometimes get out of focus pictures ?
I have XT5. I am looking for 1 compact camera. Should i buy ricoh griiix over x100vi?
If you want a camera which you can pocket, the Ricoh, the X100vi is small but not massively different from the XT5 with a 27mm on the front
Always such a nice vibe in the stuff you post : What camera was this filmed on? And did you use own LUTs to color grade the video? I purchased your presets and loving them so far, are you planning to release a similar vibe for video? xA
Thank you! 🙏🏼 Mix of the XT5 and X100VI, will have an episode on video coming soon
Have you ever used the xf70-300 ?
Not used that one, depending on travel plans I might pick one up
Literally watching this while eating in London Chinatown oldest restaurant
😄 bon appetit🙏🏼
Thanks . Thinking of buying X-T4 and getting 35mm F1.4 lens. I want to shoot dance videos in the street lighting conditions.
Not sure about the 35 1.4 for videos, the lens struggles a bit with Autofocusing.
It can work but you'd need to use single point AF or manual as continuous AF on this lens is a bit unpredictable
Big fan of your work and videos Eren! Any chance you could or have compared the Fuji 16-50 F2.8-4.8 with the Sigma 18-50 F2.8?
I prefer the Sigma, but both are good, the Fuji is better for video
Awesome review 👏
Thanks dude 🙏🏻
@@erenjam😁😁🫶
Great video! Are you using any diffusion filter for your night photos?
Thank you!! Nope, no diffusion filter on the lens, I feel I can get close to the real effect in post so I avoid using them
Hey dude. What were you grain settings. Footage looks sweet and I could actually see it throughout without it being blocky
Depends on the clip but the grain is usually added in Davinci
@ oh yeah I gathered but what settings cause this video looked great 😊

Thanks for the recommendations 🙏🏻 good idea!, I have a 40mm 1.4 Nokton which I think I can adapt to Fuji
I just bought an X-T5 (my first Fuji coming from Lumix), also bought a 16 1.4, now I’m wondering which next lenses I should get. What’s your thoughts?
What do you think about the Nikon zf ?
Haven't used it yet but have heard good things about it
If you're using one, what recipe are you using a recipe on your GR IIIx?
POsitive film
@@erenjam thank you

The X-t50 is great investment for those who limit funds for the X-t5, they are very similar.
Good shout, its a great camera
I knew that b-roll looked familiar haha
😎 having the B-roll filmed by a younger Scorsese just makes making these eps so easy
which strap?
Peak design lite strap for the XT5

This is true
Hello Eren, wich is the best for image quality between the X100VI and the XT5 with the 23f2.0 ? Thanks and well done for your job 😊
They will look very close to each other, I think the X100vi's lens is probably technically better than the 23f2 - but I struggle to see much of a difference
@ Thanks for your answer !
Top man. What shoulder straps you use ?thankks.
Thank you! Peak Design Lite
Thanks for the video! Which mic do you use for recording ambient sound on the streets?
🙏🏻🙏🏻 a mix of the o board mic and the DJI one
Great video. Do you use spot metering ?
Thank you 🙏🏻 sometimes, but for the most part I find the camera does a decent job in most situations
Fantastic setup. By the way, did you get rid of your X-Pro 2? :o
🙏🏻🙏🏻 never! I don’t use it as much but it’s still here.
@@erenjam Great! 😁

🙏🏻🙏🏻 true, the size/weight increase is a bit annoying and I have the 50 for the rainy nights
but ricoh is very similar to x100vi in terms of size and use case
You need at least 3 more cameras imo
You right, rookie numbers
New in 20225 a xt5 with Dual sim card slots 👍😂
😂 I got the prototype 😅
Please don’t recommend people Fuji to do Videos. The autofocus just didn’t do the job.
I rarely use continuous AF for video
